- Halford said the lyrics to "Epitaph" express frustration at a lack of place for the young or old in modern cities.
Recording of 'Sad Wings Of Destiny' took place over two weeks in November and December 1975 at Rockfield Studios in Wales.
Taken from the new '50 Years Of Heavy Metal' boxset.

I always like their lost 70s stuff like this.
At the end of the song I’m so used to island of domination coming in. Lol
Masterpiece
I love this song
Beautiful…Love the demo
Always thought this sounded more like an early Elton John track. Would not be out-of-place on Sir Elton's 1970 s/t LP...
Wow, this is amazing to hear! Where did this come from?! Would love to hear more demos from the Sad Wings sessions!
New Box priest put out
@@perfeitorafael I new about the box set but hadn't looked at the track listing yet. Thanks!
It does remember Elton john
Замечательная песня! Пианино и вокал - шикарное сочетание! Золотая эпоха Джудас Прист
Excelente, bendito UA-cam que nos acercas estas gemas escondidas. Amo este tema.
Glenn mistakes around 0:15 and says: "let Go the mistake"
Ninguém é perfeito, né. Não, pera...
Gracias por compartir esta joya
Oh my , where the hell did you find this ? Very interesting . . .
Awesome 👏🏻 😱🎵🎵
sounds like Queen
Not, sound like many rock bands in 70s who made piano songs. Queen is not the only band in the world.
Yes it does along with the ripper
It does have that Queen sound about it. Can almost hear Freddie singing this one.
Early Queen and Priest had a lot of similarities, they were drawing from the same well.
Macartney, F Mercury, te amo hasta más allá Rob
I could be wrong but I believe that it might be Glen on piano here.
It is. He's credited for "guitars and keyboards" on the vinyl pressing of the album.
