As a band dad for many years (son plays Bari-Sax) I was the guy in the scaffolding with a video camera and one of the field directors. The playback the next morning was an eye-opener for many of the kids who thought they were in the right place at every stop. From this point of view you can really see how much effort it takes to BE in the that spot and all the counts, steps, turns... and all while playing your instrument. Marching Band *IS* and athletic sport, and don't let anyone tell you different.
I remember coming back to high school to play at a band re-union (pep band) at a basketball game. I had only been out of high school maybe a 2 years. We started off with the national anthem Towards the end of the anthem, when the song goes.. and the land of the free.. most lead trumpets go G.. G-G... C. I hit the C then went up to G above and held it passed the cut off. Several of the sax players in front of me turned around and went DAAAAANG. One of the last times I ever played trumpet. Moved on to vocals, keyboard, and songwriting. Miss those trumpet and band days. Great memories.

The mouthpiece is a 64 z gr. We have had some sort of screaming before in our past shows.
