Another excellent video, we really enjoyed it. Made me laugh when you said you hate people, totally get how you feel, that’s why we avoid crowded places as well :) As a fan of Monty Python, difficult not to laugh at the soldier chaps wearing pompom slippers doing their silly walk :)

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! It's more like Fred Olsen than P&O or Marella, but that was more because of the ship. The experience is pretty similar, but the main difference is the fact that there are so many languages on board. English is the default, but announcements etc are repeated in several others. Food is not so British either of course, although it was really good.
This very ship has been renovated and has been on the water since October 2023! Absolutely everything on it is new... and you are one of the first to travel with it! This is luck!

Had they worked issues out at the time of your cruising or still working on it? Hoping they have the kinks worked out with the ship by May 2024!!!!!
Well, all we can say is we didn't have or see any maintenance issues ourselves and wouldn't hesitate to book a cruise on Journey again. Obviously, she's an old girl now, but it never really felt like that was the case.

Hi wonderful Blogs!! Very informative. We are booked on Celestyal Journey next July in a balcony suite. We read some terrible reviews on Cruise Critic from the first few cruises and was horrified as they were all shocking including entertainment, pools, cabins with significant plumbing issues and no hot water etc etc and wondered if we should be looking elsewhere for a different cruise ship but after watching your videos, we are thinking it looks pretty good. Maybe it doesn't have the big budget shows and entertainment like the larger ships, but we are in port every day and I can't imagine we will be partying all night after a long day ashore!!!! What was your cabin like? Did you have any issues? Would really value your opinion. Well spoken and very interesting information on the ship and destinations.
We really enjoyed the cruise and didn't have any maintenance issues. We're not into all the flash, modern bells and whistles. It had everything we wanted. Fantastic crew, great food and not too busy.

Celestyal is a well established Greek cruise line, very focused on itineraries rather than resort style ships. They only sail the Eastern Mediterranean. Wouldn't say they are high-end, although the quality of the cruise and food was indeed excellent. Probably compare to Holland America (the ship we were on was, in fact an old HAL ship).

We have to pay for all the food we eat by starving ourselves when we get home 😆 It was indeed shingles. It has cleared up now other than my eye. It looks normal now, but I'm on steroid drops for a few more weeks yet.

The two night hotel stay was arranged as a package through our travel agent, but the day in Athens we arranged ourselves. We didn't book anything in advance, other than the hop on hop off bus, which we booked online the night before.

Welcome back guys. About time you uploaded another cruise video. I’m watching this while on a transatlantic cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas. Dry land tomorrow at grand bahama after 7 days at sea. The constant -1 time changes (5 in total) have been very painful but otherwise, our first TA has gone well.

Yeah, was a little rough. Mostly after we went to bed, so no bother. All the food we had was really good.
