I'm so happy to see Aaron being more of himself (he's so silly) I remember last year he was having a rough go around the holidays. He seems to be doing so much better now. I'm so happy for him. I cannot believe the prices of the meals for that many people amazing😁

I think a lot of us struggle around this time of year and that's what it's like for me. My Mum passed away from cancer the day after Christmas three years ago. Then Thirteen months and a day later I found Dad after he unexpectedly but peacefully passed away. My friend of 35 years who I jet at school aged 10 and her family say that I'm a part of their family which is lovely but it's not the same as having my parents.

The intro was hilarious!! The healthy speciality ingredients are always more expensive sadly. I always love when you cook, your wife, kids, and best friend are lucky to have someone to make meals for them! You know you can easily preserve your basil and it will continue to grow, put a bunch in a container of water with a ziploc bag over it, tearing off what you need and regularly changing the water. The meals all looked delicious! Love that Jamie is learning new skills from everyone!

You are so right in Indian cuisine we don't normally have Salads with lettuce but they are mainly cucumber based and with spices and seasonings it tastes yummy.
Normally Papadam is an meal appetizers with an add on salad like you had.
Keep on cooking with lots of love from INDIA 🇮🇳

I was in India for three months and I loved the food. I do like spicy but the first meal I had when I got there had chilies next to it. I tried two chilies and I thought I was going to die.🥵 I can't remember what I ordered but I know I didn't order it again. 😅

    • @sameersinha3097

@@ednanelson1897 Yes Indian cuisine can be sometimes a bit spicy so the trick is whenever you visit India and eat at any establishment when ordering the food ask 2 things is the food spicy and does it have green chillies or dry roasted chillies. If the and is yes then instruct them the level of spicy you can tolerate and they will make accordingly. It goes for street Food also.
And hope your time here in India has given you Lasting Memories.

The roast you made in the crock pot made me think of the Pepsi/Coke roast my Mom makes. She has one version for the oven and one for the crock pot. They are basically the same with mushroom soup and onion soup mix. The main difference is the amount of soda used. It makes a great gravy. She adds carrots, celery, and potatoes.

I have a great recipe for the crockpot that another mom gave me and my husband and sons and rest of his family love this.
Mexican Crockpot Chicken: 4-5 large boneless chicken breast , on bottom of crockpot. Then 2 cans of black beans drained, then a large jar of medium salsa, and then a bag of frozen corn. Cook on low 8 hours/high 4 hours. The chicken just shreds and you can mix it and either serve it as a dip, or over rice, or in tortillas.

If you just run cold water ver the pasta for a while you don’t need the olive oil to make it not stick together. Running it under water for a longer time will cool it completely and you can add the mozzarella right away.
Adding oil to the pasta first will put a barrier so the pasta cant suck up any other sauce, so better to add the oil later :)😊

All looks amazing! FYI, I would be very careful with the pressure cooker. A lot of pressure cooker brands are being recalled because they are exploding in peoples faces.

You should buy a smoker, lots of options to smoke different things(bacon, roast, steak, pork chops etc) it’s way better then a crock pot and way more flavour and you don’t have to use as much spices

When you poured the noodles I was thinking it didn’t look like you made enough for your family then you said you were making to batches. Then it made sense. Lol

Life skills are so important. Jamie is blessed to have such a large family to help her. I wish all kids had those opportunities.

FWI- you can put the potatoes in the pressure cooker. Then it will not take so long to cook.

I know you have to pierce potatoes if you are going to microwave them so they don’t explode. I didn’t know you needed to do that if you are baking them in the oven.
With a big family you can’t depend on having leftovers enough for a 2nd meal. As retired and cooking for 2, it would be so physically exhausting to have to cook new food every night.

the reason they make pepper shakers and grinders is so people who don't like pepper are not forced to either tolerate it or starve
