    Thank you!! Just bought my Addi express and was unfortunately immediately having issues and I was ready to return it until I could feel that one of my needles had a groove that the yarn kept getting stuck on. So far so good. Thanks again!!

    When is a needle broken? My machine is dropping a ton of stitches out of nowhere. It was working perfectly until the other day. I didn't change tension or yarn types. None of the needles are physically broken. Do you need to replace needles sometimes when they all look perfect? Is there something else that can happen that would make stitches drop?

    I was able to take it apart and replace the broken needle, but now I can't get it to sit back fully in place. It goes down to the bottom on one side or the other, and the v on the ring is in the right place on the machine but something is off and I can't figure out what it is. Any ideas?

    Hy there, need some advice please, I have both the small and the big Addi, prob am having is row counter on little one just goes mad counting. rows, where the big one (touch wood) knits with anything really and counter is just great, what can I do with the counter on little one please before I lose it and throw out, knits just fine, it’s the counter on it that driving me crazy, until now hardly been used but has to be 2 to 3 yrs old, the big one is new, is it an age thing with it maybe, thinking of buying a new one to be honest, but see if can be fixed, example of what is doing,,, did a baby scarf on it, only needed maybe 90 rows, when done it was showing over 300 rows, now counting myself say 10 rows and writing it down, or measuring it with soft tape, HELP PLEASE !!!

  • @bettycapps

    I suppose that im stuck with the width of a flat panel on the King. I can not make the width fir a scarf smaller. Is that correct? What a way to sell more product. You would think that you could move the needles to a shorter distance to reduce a scarf width from about 18” +/- to a 8-10” width scarf, instead of buying another smaller machine. 😖

      I have read that it's common for the counter to be off when using acrylic yarn because of static electricity.

    • @joylouise5417
      @joylouise5417 8 років тому

      When using acrylic yarn, put a new dryer static sheet in bottom of bowl holding your yarn. Helps immensely. Can also let yarn slide over dryer static sheet before it goes into yarn holder. Static is what causes counter to jump.

    i have had my machine for about two months but i don't use it as much. every time i make a hat(only 4) i seem to break about 2 needles every time. i just ordered another batch of needles. what can i do to prevent breaking needles? do i need to put Vaseline on the inner tracks? i bought a cheap singer one and that one worked amazingly well( the upright one not the one at the angle) also it seems to only work with acrylic yarns, when i try to use anything else it gets tangled or misses a stitch. help
    yeah a lubeing video may be helpful .

      you might be putting to much tension just hold it lose in your hand if starts missing stiches then hold just a little tighter
