Not just any cocktail dress, a prawn cocktail dress. Are the earrings lemon slices? Just perfect if they are. I'm so glad I found this channel, it's been an absolute delight seeing your creations.
This is wild! Can't believe how you put these things together! A word on pronunciation, though, from a French teacher -- the shiny fabric is la-MAY. (lamé)
Can recall someone once saying we should never feel bad upon discovering we have mispronounced a word we only ever saw in print, because that means we are well-read individuals. 😊📚 (which is not meant to imply you had intended her to feel bad - only to inform!)
Table cloths dont lay straight of grain on the whole table anyway. This is so stunning. I'm also obsessed with the idea that the shrimp are removable. That is so ingenious.
Realize it's kind of off topic, but somehow this makes me think of a college student I once had in class who was so ailurophobic that a mere folder with an IMAGE of a cat could set her off 😱 Couldn't help thinking how hard it must be getting through life if not even pictures felt safe. My point being, glad you can enjoy at least artistic shrimp 🦐
How fun and creative! I keep telling you, you will get a deal from media production groups and the Big Four pattern companies very soon. Here is to your fabulous Christmas dress. Many happy returns for the New Year
This might be the vintage dress equivalent to ugly holiday sweaters and it turned out SO beautiful. Love that you used pins on the shrimp. ❤ Merry Christmas!
You did a fantastic job. I just love the dress. Makes me hungry!!! Also, I love the shoulder straps on the dress. The fit is so flattering on you. I have to visit Gert and grab that pattern.
I truly appreciate when you tell of your challenge/difficult aspects of a garment you've made, while not letting that stop you from creating it again. This came out so beautiful. I love the fun shrimp lettuce details. The finished project so unexpected. 🙆🏾♀️👏🏾👍🏾
Wow! This is fabulous! Who else could come up with a shrimp dress for holidays?😂 I love it 👏 Thank you for this wonderful entertainment. And you you look stunning. Happy holidays!
Love as I listen to you describing how to make it and what the different tips are, the notion that the more people who watch this, the greater the odds get that somebody, somewhere, in some part of the planet, might actually follow the instructions and make the dress again! (Maybe with the lamé so we can find out if one really _does_ have to explain it or whether people get the idea. That said, I think you at your parties will be a little more comfortable in this particular print than you might have been in lamé.)
I am so excited that I ran into your channel I’m in my 60s and I love 40s and 50s vintage clothing. I bought several off Amazon and I wish I could sew like you.
You are such a one-of-a-kind talented and creative woman! I love mid century fashion and decor. I just love your 60s mod wallpaper, too! If I could sew, you’d be my guru! I love your aesthetic. Absolute perfection!! ❤
You are definitely runway material in this dress. I have watched a million UA-cam videos and I can say: NOT ONCE HAVE I SEEN A VIDEO LIKE THIS ONE! What an imagination you have!🍤🍤🎄☃️❤
A very creative project-as always. I do my own gel nails, too. It’s nice to know the UV LED lamp can be used for arts and crafts, too. I had no idea that there was such realistic fake food. 🥰
Your creativity and design ideas are so amazing and inspiring! I just do not have that artistic/creative talent, which is why I so love watching your channel! Thank you for your work and efforts to bring us these videos! Happy Holidays to you and your family.🎄
Your sewing machine! I just noticed her! I had that machine in a darker, greenish colorway. Due to a mishap, I had to let her go. Still miss her, though. She was a champ!
It so brought a smile to my face 😀❤. I think your giving Gaga a run for the money 😅! I had a thought while watching but please disregard if you have already thought/ done it. A detachable overskirt made of the shiny fabric. As layers of sometimes different fabrics or colour give fascinating effects. Merry Christmas and all the best! 🩷🙏🎄
Totally amazing combination of nice finitions and funny elements, this Christmas dress rocks ! ( Sorry for my akward english but I hope you can percieve my admiration....french subscriber here!)
Please do a vid of a kitchen tour with that ammmazzzing stove. That dtove is incredible. I was looking to see if you did one already. Perhaps I missed it...
Psst the metallic fabric is pronounced lah-may. This project is everything! As soon as I saw the artificial lettuce my eyes just lit up. Your vision and execution are just a delight- I love the idea of doing something surreal to wear but just beautiful as a garment.
PRO TIP- For anyone else that doesn't already know it.... it is absolutely NOT pronounced as "laaame" (silver) fabric. The correct pronunciation is saying it as -- "lah-meh" fabric... originating from French fashions and French Design Houses. As in all of the fabulous shiny Gold/Silver/Bronze lame^ fabrics from the Late 60s to Mid 70s .... when entire suits, jackets, pants and dresses were the trendy thing to wear in all of the most popular night-clubs and then later on in the Disco-Techs of that time period. 😉
Good afternoon. I love your skill and your professionalism. May I please ask you what school did you go. I always want to learn how to sew, I do not find the right school to teach me.
I love this outfit, this is just delightful! ❤❤❤ Also the pattern: fill the bra cups with foam. Sewrina: I’ll be filling up the bra cups with my 🥬 ✨ *creativity* ✨ 🥬 😂 so cute 🥰
I thought this was gonna be some sort of biodegradable dress but finding out theres fabric that looks like real food is more interesting 🤔
Not just any cocktail dress, a prawn cocktail dress. Are the earrings lemon slices? Just perfect if they are. I'm so glad I found this channel, it's been an absolute delight seeing your creations.
Thank you so much the earrings are lemon slices 😂
so cute, so extra!
How fun is this?! Serena, you did that! Happy Holidays to you and your family, as well as to all your Subscribers!

@@tejaswoman Very true :-) These loan words from other languages are always tricky, IMO.
Table cloths dont lay straight of grain on the whole table anyway. This is so stunning. I'm also obsessed with the idea that the shrimp are removable. That is so ingenious.
Very cute. I am very allergic to shrimp, but you know this looks like a non-allergenic shrimp situation 😊 I love the skirt so much

That’s such a fun dress. It’s a head turner and people are going to really admire it. I love that pattern, the shape of the top is adorable 🥰
OMG I love this. So creative and fun. You are right, it screams iconic 1950’s Christmas. Amazing job.
So stinking cute! What a clever idea.
Wow! This is fabulous! Who else could come up with a shrimp dress for holidays?😂 I love it 👏 Thank you for this wonderful entertainment. And you you look stunning. Happy holidays!

Super cute! (My extra take is that the gloves are the “cocktail sauce”!) 😆
This is so deliciously camp. 10/10 you’re amazing

I love the dress and would love to see it in a more elegant fabric, but for sheer party delight, this version can't be beat.
