Very helpful! I'm doing a similar project for my wife's new studio. I removed the carpet from a 20'x20' bonus room and laid a new laminate floor, painted the walls, installed new lighting. However, up until I began making a new custom desk, and thought I could put laminate on the same 3/4" plywood, that's where it got tricky. Fingers crossed I get this right. Eeeeek!
Thanks for the help! I’m building a camper van and want a white ceiling down the middle aisle for puck lights. I didn’t know how to go about it but have the answer thanks to you.
I learned something today! I had thought of the divider boards, but never would have thought to start in the middle. I am sure your idea is superior. Thanks for doing this video.
Nice job doing it by yourself! How much of that gallon of contact cement did you use to cover both surfaces? I asked at the orange big box store and was told a quart would be enough. Now I’m wondering how many more quarts might I need doing a full 4x8 sheet of 3/4 mdf and paperbacked walnut veneer. Thanks for the video of your process nicely done.
I don't recall. I did two sheets of plywood but I think I bought some extra. It goes on very thick. I think I used at least a half gallon for one 4 X 8 sheet of plywood.
Hell If your gonna take the time to make a DIY video, take the damn time & go over every step. Like it looks like you glued it pressed it and routed the edge! Any clamping, pressure like weight? How long did you let it dry to harden? Shit like that, I know it takes time to make videos but I will cover every step abs at start if video tell the little do’s & Dont’s, that makes things easier. Then write down a outline of every step and cover it in video. I’m using Wilsonmart 600 adhesive, laminate, hv glued clamped every 7” apart abs will let set overnight and unclamped and hv car batteries in the center(I saved about 8 old. At batteries just for this, they are heavy and has handles & does work great.
I can certainly appreciate your effort and advice after doing some formica bonding to plywood on smaller projects for an Airstream trailer. Thanks!

Thanks!

What brand of glue did you use?
Nice work. I am concerned about laminating the edges of plywood. It is so porous, any ideas?
Use T molding edgebanding

If you were going to make laminated draws and bench for say a home laundry, would you laminate fu sheets or cut the panels and laminate those?
Did you not first of all apply one layer on the ply beforehand , let dry then apply another with the laminate as usual (wood being porous)?
Please show a video on how to cut your laminated plywood. Thank you
Looks fairly simple. How much of that gallon of cement did you end up using for that one project and what are the details on it?

Hello l o sir is that laminate made of fiberglass and did u make it yourself or you bought it from local market
Thank you.
Was the one gallon enough?
Good job
thanks for the info very good
Thank u
I used to make fiberglass sheets its too messy all around
I bought Stodoys plans once and now I have lifetime access to thousands of woodworking projects.
I did it myself. I used Woodglut woodworking plans for this.
