i have this Projector, bought it this year in February,.. it died 1 week into ownership, luckily before the lockdown they replaced it with a new one. Last month it went bust again. And because of parts issue, it hasn't been fixed yet. I was hoping to watch the IPL, but now no deal. I used to handle it very carefully, charging it on time, and keeping it dust proof. There is obviously a quality issue, because this is the second piece which has also conked off. Thanks.
Just purchased.. very chic piece of gear , 100% agree on the awkward port location . Picture is amazing , even on the largest screen adjustment . I use for movies from a player & gaming from xbox 360 , watching movies from Netflix & prime was not possible- got sound & text but video was just a black screen.
480p though, I have the Phillips PicoPix Micro 2 and the image quality is pretty hurrendous. Thought they'd atleast upscale(?) it or whatever they do on consoles, but it'a just 480p. Is this one any better?
@@clitbake for me the image off my Xbox 360 & DVD player is quite nice , u need a dark room for best results, connecting to my Samsung via c plug ( comes with the projector) utube is fine , netflix doesn't work.

In my opinion, the projector fares well on the audio side with Harmon Kardon speakers but 480p resolution is disappointing even for a portable projector. When Viewsonic improved the brightness from 250 to 300 ANSI lumens, they should have improved the picture resolution from a low 480p to an acceptable 720p. Also, Viewsonic has done a messy job with the door to the various input ports. Overall, Viewsonic could have added a little bit more pep to this projector!!

The projector has caused a problem for the first time. It froze on the splash screen and just stayed. Nothing else opened it remained on the screen with the parrots. I'm trying to turn it off, it doesn't shut down, the keys on the control or the machine do not affect. It continues to work. I turned off the screen saver is still working. The charging lights are on and there is a fan noise, I can understand it from here because now there is no image, it does not project any image. How can I reset this? Do you have any information?
Just got one for myself (m1+_g2). For my primary purpose of projecting to my bedroom ceiling (I think between 2m and 2.5m projecting distance) and watching videos lying down, I really only had the choice of either this or BenQ GV30. 480p resolution was truly insufficient for reading texts, also if I stand up and look closely, the pixel dots are very apparent and big. When lying down as normal, the pictures are okay, bright enough in a dimly lighted room, color is sufficiently accurate and saturated, motion is smooth, and overall picture is just good enough for a very casual movie or drama watching. BenQ GV30 would've been the perfect mini projector for me for this purpose, but it is twice the cost and much bigger and less portable (and less battery life). Didn't think it was worth twice the price, so chose m1+_g2, sacrificing some text-reading capabilities. I won't even get into the software side of things. BenQ GV30 would've also been much better at this area as well, while m1+ is very lacking. Knowing this beforehand, I only intend to connect to my phone either by Chromecast (for everything but Netflix) or USB-C direct connect (for Netflix). Those functions work well so far. Hope it's reliable enough to get me through several years...

The USB-C port, is it for charging the projector, or drawing power out of the projector to charge something else? I tried hooking up an external battery to the USB-C port to see if I could charge the projector on one of those big batteries, but nothing happened, unless I was using the wrong, USB-C cord, but I don’t think so.
Bought this projector and when playing different movies through usb port or internal storage the playback gets laggy, choppy once in a while. Is this normal?

It is a decent projector, but it is awful with connecting through airplay and ports like hdmi the resolution is no good unless it is very close to the wall, the videos get laggy at times
I used to connect it to mobile and laptop but it suddenly stopped being visible to try hard toconnect it wireless or with wire without any success. Could you help me to fix this problem. The only function working is using it as speaker It can connect to Internet and app is working on it direct but connecting it to any device to work as projector or mot working any more I need it in my job 😩 please help me fix this problem

Is your projektor tilted? I feel like mine is tilted to the side where theres no leg. Like it's too heavy. I'm trying to understand if theres something with my projektor or if they all are like that. The image is tilted slightly so it's not straight as it should be

For a 480p projector the price is just to damn high should only be around 100/150$ and not a cent more, I could get a 1080p for the same price, would never pay the 500$ it cost in my country

The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

No projector review is complete without measuring/recording fan noise level, as this is the worst, if not one and only pain point of this devices.

Integrated Chromecast no but there is WiFi connectivity for smartphones and tablets ( it’s not seamless though usb c is pretty good and effective )
