Update: My fuses looked good, so I wanted to see if the headlights were working. No, they weren't but after working the switch off and on several times, the lights started to work, and now it cranks. Go figure, lol. Apparently, the headlight switch is tied into the ignition somehow. Thanks for the video.
Makes since about the bad charging system. Got to go double check my fuses, this happened to me, but when I kick start it, it runs fine. Right in the middle of starting it, it just quit and lights went out.
I got a 2000 Honda fourtrax 300 I get no neutral light and the start button does nothing but I get the oil light for a second when I turn the key on I can make it turn over by jumping the solenoid but I get no spark at all I ordered a kicker lever hopefully that’ll get me going but does anyone know how to fix my electric start?
Sometimes, and in my case, the fuse can be broken at an end where it isn't easy to see. Did you check it with an ohmmeter? (Make sure the key is off while doing this)

This fixed my exact problem just now. Fuse issue! Been restoring a 1998 fourtrax 300 myself and both original and spare were bad!

What fuse do you instal
Cdi has interlocks in it that control ths rpms so cdi is the whole reason and about to be your next big issue.
Found on mine it was the actual key switch internal issues

Sounds like a neutral position sensor. That would explain the no neutral light and not cranking. Is the no spark on the spark plug or something else?
