It’s fascinating to learn that our stories were recorded at a time when glass jars and “soluble coffee” were new concepts, and tuberculosis was still a common life-threatening concern.
This actor playing Annie is Jan Minor. For years she played Madge the manicurist in the Palmolive liquid tv ads. She did it for years. You're soaking in it!
During "The Miracle, I was so amazed to see you use black & white films of Banff National Park and the many mountains like The Three Sisters and Lake Moraine and I lived and worked for years between Kananaskis to Jasper and everything in between. Wouldn't you know it? Those mountains look as good back then as they do today. Simply amazing they haven't aged a day. Tales go that every year an employee of Chateau Lake Louse is fired for telling tourists they drain the lake at the end of the season so workers can paint the bottom before the snow start coming down to refill it in when the snow melts in spring. Shame about this year's grizzly bear attack with 2 fatalities.

I have trouble sleeping, but when I tune in to OTR, I fall asleep in 5 minutes
Great thing about your show is those in rest homes can use their phones privately to be entertained anywhere unlike TV 📺 which has to be shared.
These are great! What a lovely enjoyable way to listen to these 📻 shows. I love ❤ the advertisements as well..Thank you.
Great video, so we can watch time go by as we listen to the program
Thank you 😊
Sanka Coffee 😁😎 Party Lines 😁😎. I grew up with both 😁😎
good times!😂 My grandmother drank Sanka every morning. I thought I was so grown up when she'd let me drink some "coffee" 😂
Yes my grandma drank it too 😉☺️, I felt really grown up when Mom would let me drink coffee. Though most of it was milk 😉
My home town Delta Colorado we had a Party Line☺️

One if the things I enjoy about these shows is not only do they entertain us but they give us a glimpse into history.

I love to listen to price of things mentioned. For instance A cab ride for 45 cents.

Do you have a heart of glass? Casey hopes it's an Anchor-Hocking heart---because Anchor-Hocking is the greatest name in glass!
Remember to pronounce it "photographaaa!"
The polish girl, Sophie, made me so sad. She brought this whole show to an incredible truth
Love the Casey series - do you have any Paul Temple??
I don't, I'll look into that one
Those tend to get removed quickly, love the bbc 😮💨@@HearthandHomeEntertainment
