  • This video shows how to complete the 7th dungeon of the First Quest. That means going into every single room & getting everything this dungeon has to offer; no matter how pointless it may be. If you only want to see what is necessary to beat the level & get the important items then watch the video linked down below.
As with all dungeons in this game it's not a bad idea to have a potion on hand. Furthermore, if you have not already done so, I recommend that you upgrade your sword & tunic as I have. You can find videos showing the locations to these upgrades as well as the locations of all Bomb & Potion Shops linked down below.
Before doing this dungeon you'll need to make sure you have some Food because you'll need to give it to a hungry Goriya in order to finish this dungeon. You can find a video linked down below that shows all of the shop locations where you can buy Food.
    Goodies in this dungeon:
Compass (0:34): From the entrance room go right 1 screen & up 2 screens. You should now be in a dark room with several Stalfos; one of whom is carrying the compass. Kill this Stalfos to grab the compass.
Bomb Upgrade (3:09): From the entrance room go up 1 screen & left 1 screen. You'll now be in a room with Keese. Go down into the next room and grab the key then go up from the Keese room into the room with 3 Dodongos. Enter through the locked door & you'll find an Old Man selling the Bomb Upgrade for 100 Rupees. Getting this upgrade will increase your bomb carrying capacity by 4 bombs.
Map (4:51): The map is found in the room just passed the hungry Goriya.
Red Candle (6:01): If you look at the top part of the map you'll notice a black spot that looks like an eye. This spot is actually a room. To reach this room make your way to the room to its left & use a bomb to blow a hole in the wall leading to the "eye" room. Kill all of the enemies in this room & move the left block up or down to reveal a staircase that leads down to the Red Candle.
The Red Candle is the same as the Blue Candle except it can be used any number of times without having to change rooms.
Boss Aquamentus (8:57): This fight is exactly the same as when you first met him in Level 1. If you have the Magical Sword then you can kill him with 2 sword strikes to the head.

I’ve heard rumors that if you’re unable to use your sword due to being hit by a bubble that blowing the magic whistle will restore your sword immediately. Not sure if it’s really true or an old schoolyard rumor from my childhood. I probably should try it

It depends on the Bubble. For regular Bubbles that only temporarily disable your sword then yes, the Flute does immediately bring your sword back. If you are touched by a Red Bubble then the Flute will not bring your sword back. In that case, the only things that bring it back are touching a Blue Bubble, using a Life Potion, or visiting one of the pond Fairies in the Overworld.

Level 7 is a nice not so hard level after 6, which is pretty hard and 8, which is really hard and 9, which has the hardest boss. But it still has a lot of stuff to do.

i have a problem, for some reason the game doesn’t let me get more than 8 bombs and it’s super inconvenient when fighting the triceratops

You haven't gotten the upgrades yet. There are 2 upgrades that you can buy that allow you to carry an additional 4 bombs each.

@@raynb0w6 No problem! By the way, for help against the Dodongo, if you drop a bomb so that it explodes next to one (rather than feeding it the bomb like I do in the video) it will make the Dodongo stop moving momentarily and you can kill it with your sword. Not only that, but killing the Dodongo this way will make it drop bombs.

@@EmptyGarbageCan i’ve done that in the game before but never knew the reasoning behind it so thank you! i’m just not very good with my bomb placement lol, thank you for these videos they’ve helped me get through the game, as im not very good at video games :3

@@raynb0w6 Don't be too hard on yourself. It takes quite a bit of practice to get good against the Dodongos and even then they can be quite unpredictable. Plus this game in general is pretty difficult. I've played almost every zelda game and I'd say that this one is definitely one of the more difficult ones.
