- Mowing Triticale near Convoy Ohio. In this video I am out on the field with Hall Ag Services as they mow Triticale for a dairy farm near Convoy Ohio using their new John Deere 7R 250 Tractor with Claas Disco Triple mowers.

You really know it's summer when mowing, tedding, chopping and baling videos start appearing. It is my favourite time of the year. Thanks Mike.
Great video Mike. Let Hall Ag know I appreciate their displaying Old Glory on their equipment! 👍👍
I made the switch last year from Pottinger triple mower to Claas, mainly for the RCB models. The Claas has really impressive build quality. Their mowers, rakes and tedders are made much heavier duty then the competition. So far I’m thoroughly impressed.
What a first-Claas mowing-video! 😉
Thank you very much for showing! 😊👍🏻
Would love to see the behind the scenes of hooking and unhooking the mowers...
Those triple mowers are cool
Great way to start the day. Thanks Mike. 👍😁
Good Sunday Morning from New Zealand, A brilliant Mike less Video, thanks for sharing, have a great week
Loved the aerial shots. Well done.
The drive by Versatile sighting aka bonus footage... That made me laugh. Thanks Mike for the pick me up video. Great as always.
Good morning Mike!
Zapowiada się ciekawie 🙂🙂🙂
I enjoyed the drive by of a 200 Versatile🐄!
Very nice video👍👍
Looks like a mean mowing machine!!!
That’s impressive.
We have three of these claas triple mowers and Monday they're going mow 800-900 Acres
I like knowing ahead of time about a live feed, especially if it is a space launch. I learn a lot from this channel. I had to google triticale a few months ago to learn what it was as I don't know much about farming.
...if you are a fan of the original Star Trek...The episode "Trouble With Tribbles" refers to "Quadro-Triticale".... which Spock describes as "hybrid of wheat and rye"....
@@paulpochan9631 I remember when Captain Kirk opened that bin and it was full of the little furry things.
@@user990077 Tribbles.....
Nice video
you can see the difference in horsepower , the fendt the other day which was way over 300hp was mowing a lot faster.
From my experience from mowing with Krone, Claas and Pöttinger the Krone Butterfly mowers (that's what we call them in GER) are easier on the engine meaning they don't need as much power as the other ones thus you can now faster like up to 20km/h
triticale is a hybrid of wheat and rye
I was scrolling the comments looking for the answer. Thanks
No its tarwe en rogge
Its triticum aysticum
Krásné záběry!
He has the back mowers really scalping the ground if it was me I would tilt them back up a bit the blades will stay sharp longer and the more makes a cleaner swath of grass with no dirt great job on the video 👍
This was literally the first day of cutting with this new mower and adjustments were being made.
@@farmhandmike I figured he would catch it before long especially when the blades start dulling up before the front mower
Great video Mike! Will you have any video footage of them chopping this crop?
I was not able video them chopping this field but I did get footage of them chopping some first cutting alfalfa close to here.
You can see from the begining to the end of the video there is much less overlap
J like the country
Very very nice
✌️✌️✌️
Question - is it just my eyes or is this machine discharging the crop unevenly and making ripples in the windrows? Great video thanks for posting!
Well that’s somewhat typical for all disc mowers since the cutting disc’s are turning and throwing the cut crop in rows between the discs. I hope you can understand what I’m trying to explain here. It’s shows up worse in light crop.
Great video. Never seen or heard of Triticale. Would like to see one of them putting it up for silage.
I do have several videos on my channel of triticale being chopped for silage.
I guess I'm just old school , but you shouldn't have to have satellite's to run a mower 🤣🤣🤣. This electronic devices are great when they are working . I guess more time to watch Farmhand Mike on UA-cam while mowing. 🤣🤣🤣👍👍 Lol
I know several guys that do watch UA-cam while in the tractor.
I like John Deeres but the US flag makes this awesome
Yeah, we hit at least one fawn every year with the mower. Id rather not but we feed too many of them long legged rodents anyhow.
I can’t see the video… it’s saying something went wrong…
Not sure. I’ve watched it a couple times
@@farmhandmike I got it to work… great video… what was the tonnage of that?
