The thing is, like 90% of all Bandle City cards are Yordles. It’s not just the interactions with Poppy or Mayor, but with literally everything in Bandle.
Fated can scale one or two units big, poppy yordles will have full boards with 4/4s by turn 4/5. Doesn't matter how large a single unit can scale if they can only block 1 thing at the end. You have limited mana in fated decks, you either develop or you play spells and scale. Very few cards allow you currently to do both simultaneously, and no matter what you do, you have to spend mana to trigger fated continuously, where as yordle explorer just happens on T2 then gives infinite value going forward.

I mean at best its a +6/+6 but that means your opponent already has lethal on board at the next attack, meanwhile you probably never got a single hit in because you've been chummed all game. Maybe against old spider decks it would be okay as they were never a true threat but with Yordles it ain't gonna happen :S

Since you can at most get +5/+5 with Against the odds and it’s conditional (and focus speed), I don’t see it played unless for some reason you want to cut Noxus (which has some of the best otk buffs in the game) or you want to play even more buffs... but again Noxus already has stuff like Elixir of wrath and Might which are far more needed. The only card I see this played with is something like prenerf sparklefly (early lifesteal units in general) in some kind of deck with a low early amount of units like Lee or Nami, but since they nerfed sparklefly and we have no replacement, targon is doomed.

I think it can be played depending on the meta, if it's swarm heavy deck and you have the unit that can close out the game (such as pantheon or riven) then yeah you go for it, especially since it's very effective with units that have elusive/overwhelm/lifesteal since they can outright win you the game. I think you are underesitimating targon too much, yes Sparklefly is dead but Targon still has the 4 mana 5/4 daybreak unit that can have lifesteal and with buffs the amount of hp you can get can save you. Same with starshaping and the 2 mana healing cards. Just because Sprklefly and the fangs are dead doesn't mean you don't have other good ways to heal.
Good think he no longer has plunger feet, I've mained rumble for almost 3 years in league so seeing him get such an improvement on his design is amazing

Theres already so much yordle in game and majority of them low mana.Unlike the elites or dragons.Yet with this expansion there will be at least 20 yordle card too. So you can built to different deck all with yordles and they will gonna get +1/+1.Just think about explorer + mayor + poppy + 2 cost double region yordle + 1 cost double region yordle on turn 4. All of them gettin +2/+2 on attack.Yes dude totally balanced
I just remembered a concept from another game, Inscription. A unit that has a lot of heath, no damage and blocks every unit that attacks that isn't blocked already until it dies. A protector if you want to call it something. That may help a lot in surviving for example, poppy attacking on mana 4 (as always) blocking most of the damage and if it survives, you can keep blocking until you have a good board or a way to clean the enemy board.
the can't attack/"wall" idea is a fantastic concept for galio package, I think its possible that we'll get that kind of mechanic with him alongside the next expansion, so I hope the game isn't super dead by that time
Rumble can literaly discard stuff without any upsides and he still feels good to play beacause even tho you discard 3 cards, the enemy needs 3 cards to kill him. now this would be a flawless logic if you dont think about the fact that most decks arent made entirely out of awnsers so the opponent still has to draw these AND that these 3 awnsers will cost way more than rumble does, so much so that if you play him on 4 there are only a few combinations that can stop him from attacking even with full spell mana. So when you look at it that way rumble is a 4 mana deal 4-6 damage to the enemy nexus, you and your opponent disscard 3 cards, and if the opponent isnt lucky you can attack with him again 2 turns from now. I'm trying to think up combos of cards that you can use to not feel bad about wasting cards on him and the only think I can think of is fast speed activator+termo... but that doesnt even stop him from attacking I personaly love LoR beacause of the reactivity you have when playing, you never feel like you are playing by yourself. Id hate to see that reactivity dissapear

You can also simply stun poppy and buff the dragon to 4/6 permanente with the pantheon champ card and still have 2 mana for sharpsight/ single combat. I'm a strong ahahaaa believer.

The only thing that Lor lacks off to be the perfect card game is a more consistent balance patch schedule ,the fact that you have to play against the same decks for 3 months is ridiculous.
You were spot on when you said Rito were making cards strong for expansion releases Grapp. It's a practice that they use in League as well, making champions overturned on release to attract players to the champion (which, funnily enough, usually ends up having the opposite effect). I believe Riot themselves have confirmed that they do this, but I don't have any sources, so take that with a grain of salt.

I didn't quit the game during pnz noxus burn, I didn't quit during lee sin meta and azirelia but this is enough. All the excitement that a had with pantheon died after rumble.
The problem with low attack, high health minions is that almost all of LoR's removal is damage based so you don't have many options other than just running face first into them. It could very easily tip the scales in the other direction. Though I have been wanting higher health followers for a while now in order to make Soraka not be so stuck with Kench.

i hope starting with 2022 Riot starts making more frequent balance pathes every 2 weeks or once/month like LoL. this game is fun, still has a ton of potential but the slow paced balance patches and stale metas that dominate for months, keep the game from becoming really great. and maybe start making good epics riot idk
Latest Champions are jacked as hell. Both Pantheon and Rumble but I think Rumble is kind of more powerful than Pantheon with spell shield and that impact level up skill for cost reduction.
You know there are times i am glad i don't do pvp. This is the reason why, i don't want to rage quit myself seeing almost every card i see turns into a massive chemical weapon and shoves it down on my match history seeing nothing but the blood of my meme or creative decks. I'd rather do pve and do story modes or just test decks on a.i. not dealing with ropers and bm'ers.
25:35 - Impact does not trigger Nexus Strike effects. Already tested with Poppy/Swain a while ago sadly. Ironically Impact also doesn't count as Non-combat damage, which is even more scuffed.

Zilean's time bombs seem weaker and weaker :(. Spitballing what control needs: - Bilgewater could get that Path-exclusive capture spell. And make sunk cost discount when deep. - P&Z needs a way to discount spells or more tricksy stuff like Defective Swapbot. - Shurima in general could use buffs to be relevant. Could be the region to have a fog effect (negate all combat damage for a turn) or tanker units/some Oasis themed lifegain. I don't think you need to buff SI or Freljord, but rather nerf BC. If you buff control without actually addressing the power creep that are yordles, other decks will suffer just as much if not more (losing to both sides).

I've said on reddit multiple times about how good for the game it would be to have strong defensive units, something like give something when I block, but every single time they say "it would be really hard to balance because the game already favors defenders", I think now we're at a point where attackers have the upper hand and we need defesive units
The cards revealed today kinda took a bit of wind out of my sales, but with fated/yordles, I think recall/stun might have some nice plays there. I don't think recall can do much with fated but kennen being able to go ham stunning yordles and preventing impact could be big in throwing the proverbial wrench in their plans. I do like the idea of a rumble/jinx team up though.
I'm just gonna say this here outright. Control will not comeback. Main reason being riot likes its games fast. You can already see it in league. There way to counter damage is more damage and stalling is left on the wayside. Even if they try to buff control its more likely it would come in another form of aoe damage. It's unfortunate but the time when we get to see mana 10 is probably way beyond the horizon now.
They need to realise that control players make up a large amount of the competitive base, and so shutting down the archetype they will lose a lot of players

Funny thing is that it seems this expansion is converting all of LOR content creators to TFT streamers lol. As of now I've seen Alan/Mogwai/Swim/BBG and sometimes Grapplr stream it so it's kinda funny to me.
Yordle explorer will certainly be nerfed because the power creep is just unfair and unbalanced. Either make it a 3 drop, or remove the HP buff or make it give +1/+1 and mot grant. That's just way overpowered
Not too worried about the Yordle explorer. Feels like it is being established to incentivize turn 2 interaction. Going to punish strategies trying to double float. Feels similar to how the darkness 2 drop can swing the games it shows up in early.
The issue there is that any deck that isn’t in PnZ or BC gets fucked. What if I want to play SI/FJ? Or SI/Demacia? Or Lurkers? Or Viego/Ionia? Why is it ok for them to print a card that tells you to get fucked unless you only play 2/10 regions?

The main reason this card is broken is because it is 2 mana while alot of the best yordles are 3, that type of mana curve is insane

I don't think recall can do much with fated but kennen being able to go ham stunning yordles and preventing impact could be big in throwing the proverbial wrench in their plans. I do like the idea of a rumble/jinx team up though.

I'm just gonna say this here outright. Control will not comeback.
Main reason being riot likes its games fast. You can already see it in league. There way to counter damage is more damage and stalling is left on the wayside. Even if they try to buff control its more likely it would come in another form of aoe damage. It's unfortunate but the time when we get to see mana 10 is probably way beyond the horizon now.
They need to realise that control players make up a large amount of the competitive base, and so shutting down the archetype they will lose a lot of players

Funny thing is that it seems this expansion is converting all of LOR content creators to TFT streamers lol. As of now I've seen Alan/Mogwai/Swim/BBG and sometimes Grapplr stream it so it's kinda funny to me.

One of the best ways to kill Ramble is shield. Lux and Pantheon has shield after all. So I think Demacia + Targon will be stronger

Yordle explorer will certainly be nerfed because the power creep is just unfair and unbalanced. Either make it a 3 drop, or remove the HP buff or make it give +1/+1 and mot grant. That's just way overpowered

Not too worried about the Yordle explorer. Feels like it is being established to incentivize turn 2 interaction. Going to punish strategies trying to double float. Feels similar to how the darkness 2 drop can swing the games it shows up in early.
Also reckoning could be a solid wipe on lower power units
The issue there is that any deck that isn’t in PnZ or BC gets fucked. What if I want to play SI/FJ? Or SI/Demacia? Or Lurkers? Or Viego/Ionia? Why is it ok for them to print a card that tells you to get fucked unless you only play 2/10 regions?
Why should control, that weakest archetype in the game right now, be kinships even more by making an already oppressive strategy even more fucking oppressive?
