  • This is my new LED Can Jam setup that uses LEDKndy lights and the wonderful Nite Ize Flashflight ultimate disc. I also explain the unofficial rules that my friends and I use to play this great backyard Frisbee game.

I like to have a pvc pipe with a stand in the middle. It's like precision putting. Really good if you only have two people. Also great is bottle bash which is a bottle set up on a pipe in the ground. You try to knock the bottle off. If the person on the other end drops the disc you get a point if they drop the bottle you get a point and if they drop both you get three points.

I have played a game with the glass bottles or a full can that you have to knock off the 5 foot stand? Not sure the name but the rules are if you get the Bottle on the ground, it is a point, you the non thrower has to catch the bottle. The points total is what Horse Shoes is.

We bought the KanJam from Dick’s. Awesome game to play! I like the idea of LED lights for night play, I’ll have to check into that!

How did you feel about the disc that comes with it? Am I being unfair by saying its not very good compared to an Ultrastar or Aviator?

Nope I would get a Ultra Disc or a Wham-O Pro model, a 165 gram disc, if not that then a Zephyr at 160 grams the All around tournament weight or the 175 gram one, to use. I would buy some trash cans plastic in the right height and diameter in white to use and cut the size of the front opening to use as the Can Jam set. My cousin who has an actual Can Jam set uses it for Can Jam and then some how raises it up to use for Practice putting.
