Jason Lancaster... Is a Go among men and musicians, He is my number one inspiration for music... I am glad his music is here... And I'm glad he's so famous... He deserves it... He is truly a gift from God. Go Radio is simply Amazing as was Old Mayday Parade. Both bands are still incredible. But nothing will ever replace Jason Lancaster. The man is simply a genius. I have been listening to this song for the longest time on Repeat.
Dude... He WAS MAYDAY PARADE! He single handedly wrote the first two albums. You see a huge change in the music if you compare the first 2 albums with the 3rd. MP 4th album is where they redeemed themselves. He MADE MP famous and if it wasn't for him, Derek or his band wouldn't been known. Besides, Jason's voice has more feel and emotion than Derek's voice.
I´m soo sick and tired of comments like "I miss old Mayday Parade.." "They should get together again.." Now we dont have only 1 super awesome band...but we have 2 incredible bands! So BE HAPPY! THERE´S NOTHING COMMENTS CAN DO TO CHANGE THINGS!
It kinda sucks for them, neither Jason Lancaster or Mayday Parade will ever be able to do anything without people whining about the split! I, however, fully support you Mr.Lancaster, and think you are an amazing songwriter.
@jojococo54 I pretty much am in love with mayday parade, and also go radio. I think that they are two of the most talented bands that i know. but i respect your beliefs, I just love them both!!
@Get27Shotted Since I made that comment over a year ago, so much has changed with Go Radio. The release of Do Overs and Second Chances impressed me, simply because he'd made something of himself post-Mayday Parade, but Lucky Street sealed the deal for me. Jason Lancaster's voice improved to a more recognizable level and his songwriting got so good that he's literally become a hero of mine. Even better, Go Radio as a whole backs him up comparable to that of what Mayday did, maybe even better.
@nevermoregg Oh I don't disagree with you at all as far as Jason being in Mayday goes. His writing and voice combined with Mayday's stage presence, guitars, incredibly coordinated drums, and pure vocals from Derek created something that I still recognize as one of the greatest albums ever made. But I also suggest that you look deeper into Go Radio. Songs like "Thanks for Nothing," "The Truth Is," and "Swear it Like You Mean it" are what keep me comparing them to old Mayday. As you said, IMO.
@lauurxx Yeah, but your initial statement is very true, they were something special before he left. I just wanted to point out how much better Jason is ^.^
Mayday Parade with Jason was my favorite band ever. I mean there still my favorite band but mainly only because Jason wrote the lyrics and i can't help but fall for the lyrics everytime. Now they just sound so normal. Bleh. And Go Radio I don't really care for them too much, there lyrics are okay but he wrote better lyrics when he was with Mayday Parade. I wish he would just go back to Mayday, but it's whatever, his voice is amazing.
I wish he never left Mayday Parade. With his voice, they were the definition on pure talent. They're still good, but Jason made them better. The new album, Anywhere But Here, isn't as good as their other albums. I do like Go Radio though.
@magicpumpkinsjazz so true. even listening to "terrible things" on their new ep (which is an awesome song) all i could think is that Jason would sound amazing singing it with derek
I think you feel this sway because Go Radio doesn't have as good recording yet. Check out there two new songs on their myspace. They are both good =]. I personally like Jason as a better singer than Derek.
First time hearing the song.watching the video and see the old mayday parade dude and I literally facealmed myself and said out loud well there goes all the comments
dude just think about it, mayday has been there for a lot longer, i didn't even know they freaking broke up till mp's new album . So yea they have more fans, but in time jason and the rest of Go Radio will grow much more famous than mayday . No hate towards MP but i guess i'll just stick with jason . :)
I'm confused. Don't jump down my throat for this question either. Is go radio one of the people from mayday parade? SORRY i'm confused. I just found go radio
@Dontkicktheguitarist Let's be honest though. The album Tales told by dead friends& a lesson in romantics were way better than LUcky street and Do overs and second chances, both lyrics wise and music(instrument). I felt like Jason's rawness was controlled by Derek's voice, which is better than just alone. That's why songs like The last something that meant anything, You be the anchor, ... are still my favorite songs. Songs like Why I'm home, any other hearts are great, but not perfect. Just IMO
Obviously not by himself; Look at his older works and his later works, they have distinct difference from Mayday's sound, so obviously you REALLY can't give him ALL the credit, cause honestly I like the new Mayday Parade's sound better than Go Radio's sound. I like Go Radio's Forever My Father and I Miss You, most of the others I've heard just didn't do it. Honestly I don't think Jason is much without Mayday, and Mayday had a huge loss when they lost Jason.
Jason's voice is amazing, but not quite as strong as Derek's. That's why derek was lead singer. The thing is that Jason has the most incredible, beautiful songwriting, so Derek can't do CRAP without him.
true jason lancaster is a great singer and an amazing songwriter, but he's just not cut out to be a lead singer. they need somebody with a more clean voice
@Dontkicktheguitarist these songs are just bad quality. he does a great job singing in songs like jamie all over, miserable at best (these are duel songs but his voice is definitely more likeable). its different. thats all.
@FatPeopleEW None of that even made sense. You have that whole thing backwards, mayday lost so much when Jason left them. You obviously don't know anything that happened with Mayday if you think him leaving and making Go Radio was a "HUGE mistake". Give em a year and a half, they will easily beat out mayday parade in terms of popularity, because mayday became popular because of Jason.
Ok Mayday Parade has better musicians and good vocals, Go Radio has an awesome writer and an amazing supporting vocalist. I love Jason's voice but it needs to support a clean voice. Also the musicians in Mayday Parade are honestly just better. I like Go Radio but if Jason was never in Mayday Parade I probably wouldn't be listening to them right now lol
haha i like how you used Mayday songs as examples cause lets face it, everything was better then. Dont get me wrong people, im saying he is a good singer, but not a very good lead singer. thats all
it's so sad): jasons voice is just plain amazing! but the musicians in this band just suck//: they aren't at his level. I wish he was still with mayday)): they won't ever be the same without him and he just won't be the same without them. it's such a shame/////:

Jason is pure talent.
Mayday's nothing without him :D
2020 and this song still kills. 🤙
He has an amazing voice, and is just lyrically talented.
Forever in love with the end of this song!
So sad jason left Mayday :( ... but this is an amazing band! and he does an amazing job!

dude you are so right.
I´m soo sick and tired of comments like "I miss old Mayday Parade.." "They should get together again.." Now we dont have only 1 super awesome band...but we have 2 incredible bands! So BE HAPPY! THERE´S NOTHING COMMENTS CAN DO TO CHANGE THINGS!

i think so too.
its like making everything cool again..
did you hear "Thanks for Nothing"
its a little more directly aimed at Mayday
@HopelessEncounters Finally someone agrees! Jason was the best thing of Mayday, I personally think Go Radio is better
@jojococo54 I pretty much am in love with mayday parade, and also go radio. I think that they are two of the most talented bands that i know. but i respect your beliefs, I just love them both!!
@MrCokein13 Actually, it's not ignorant, it's called having an opinion. Personally, I love both Jason and Derek's voices
@Get27Shotted Since I made that comment over a year ago, so much has changed with Go Radio. People look up the 2 new go radio songs off their new album it's sounds like a more mature less sold mayday
@lauurxx Yeah, but your initial statement is very true, they were something special before he left. I just wanted to point out how much better Jason is ^.^
@lauurxx if you havent heard the new 2 songs go radio has updated from their new album you should. i think mayday needs jason more than he needs them.
Mayday Parade with Jason was my favorite band ever. I mean there still my favorite band but mainly only because Jason wrote the lyrics and i can't help but fall for the lyrics everytime. @Dontkicktheguitarist EXACTLY!!! like DEREK from mayday!!!
@iluvorangejuice13 precisely!
I personally like Jason as a better singer than Derek.
jason lancaster composed most of the songs from the original mayday parade.
First time hearing the song.watching the video and see the old mayday parade dude and I literally facealmed myself and said out loud well there goes all the comments
New Mayday Parade is okay... but Jason WAS Mayday Parade... now Go Radio is amazing...just my opinion
idk if someone already said this but...is this song about jason leaving mayday?
dude just think about it, mayday has been there for a lot longer, i didn't even know they freaking broke up till mp's new album .
I just found go radio
maybe they'll come together in the future like blink 182

which one is jason? I can't seem to find him. lol?
@jojococo54 I Agree
Obviously not by himself; Look at his older works and his later works, they have distinct difference from Mayday's sound, so obviously you REALLY can't give him ALL the credit, cause honestly I like the new Mayday Parade's sound better than Go Radio's sound. Honestly I don't think Jason is much without Mayday, and Mayday had a huge loss when they lost Jason.
@magicpumpkinsjazz so listen to go radio...
his voice is MANLY. I LOVE IT>.< now a days its pretty trendy for dude singers to sound like ladiesD:
awesome lyrics ? :o
Jason's voice is amazing, but not quite as strong as Derek's. That's why derek was lead singer. The thing is that Jason has the most incredible, beautiful songwriting, so Derek can't do CRAP without him.
@Dontkicktheguitarist yeah man WTH he is mayday parade man w/o him well mayday parade just isn't the same
true jason lancaster is a great singer and an amazing songwriter, but he's just not cut out to be a lead singer. they need somebody with a more clean voice
it's just me or Jason Lancaster and Jeremy Lenzo sing waaaaaay to similar??? and they have same initials...what u think?
Not even close. What are you thinking? Are you on something?!!
@Dontkicktheguitarist these songs are just bad quality. he does a great job singing in songs like jamie all over, miserable at best (these are duel songs but his voice is definitely more likeable). its different. thats all.

its his unique voice =P But yeah it sounds gay when it's not great recording.
haha i like how you used Mayday songs as examples cause lets face it, everything was better then. Dont get me wrong people, im saying he is a good singer, but not a very good lead singer. thats all
it's so sad):
jasons voice is just plain amazing!
but the musicians in this band just suck//:
they aren't at his level. I wish he was still with mayday)): they won't ever be the same without him and he just won't be the same without them. it's such a shame/////:
his voice is great but i dont think theyre composing the music as good as mayday had it down. sucks.
