Dr Facilier is one of the most beautiful characters design and mover wise! Also gameplay is insanely fun with him.
Funny Story, Mama Odie once won me a game. I had 17 cards in my fortune pile; and one of my opponents immediately revealed “Rule New Orleans” and “Friends on the Other Side”; I told him ‘reveal the third card you would have just for s&g. It was “Masked Spirits”
Such a good story!
Another Tip. If you have the cane, play it either the voodoo emporium of Tiana's place.
Then, when you go to the other locations that have a move item or ally action, you can move the cane to your location and that enables you to perform one additional action at an adjacent location.

typically, how I use masked spirits, is I play them and vanquish with them in the same turn. since there's plenty of low strength heroes, or sometimes you just need a bit more ally strength, its a cheap way to do it, and you get some use out of them before they're discarded. don't know if that helps, but that's my strategy

Only cards that state to be placed in the fortune pile go into the fortune pile. otherwise they are discarded as normal.

If Facilier has the fortune deck, are there other villains that possess any other major arcana?
Evil Queen has Poison tokens... Mother Gothell has Trust tokens and a Rapunzel tile always on her board. Ratigan can switch goals! Pete has random goals at different locations. Is that what you mean?
@@LordoftheBoard Not exactly. I'm talking about the tarot. There's a fortune card in the major arcana. Other tarots include the empress, the fool, death, the emperor, the high priestess, etc.

Three cards I need very soon or draw them at the start of the game. So then I play them early. I know the villain guide says you can play The Cards Will Tell with less than three cards in the fortune pile, so my question is if I have only played and have Rule New Orleans in my fortune pile, have the talisman played and play the cards will tell, and all this is done without people fating me, do I basically win because of this rule? Even though i have less than three cards to have my opponent choose from? Seems like a cheap win lol
Yes you would! That would be a very very lucky win though. Seeing as you start at voodoo emporium so you would have to move away then come back. And collect enough power to play both cards. But yes :) you would win! Thank you for watching

On ur turn, if you if you move to a spot with a fate symbol, do you have to fate an opponent or can you choose not to if you do not want to. I need this answer lol

The one thing that confuses me about Facilier is can any card of his be put in the fortune pile? Even ones that don’t have fortune abilities?
Yes! As long as the card doesn’t say that it can’t be put into the fortune pile! :)
Does the Cards Will Tell discard cards from the fortune pile if they don’t have fortune abilities? If not, it would be really hard to thin out the fortune deck because you are relying on a condition card or a situational item to do so
Hypothetical question: say you drew both the Talisman and Rule New Orleans when using Sleight of Hand. Which do you keep, and which do you discard?
It seems to me like the Talisman takes priority, since you could use Terror later on to retrieve Rule New Orleans.
Dwayne Duphraine I agree with that! That would be a sucky choice though. Too lucky of a draw 😂 I would do exactly what you said.
I know this is a late response but last night I was playing him and ran into this situation. I played sleight of hand and my options were shadow man, talisman and rule New Orleans then I just chose talisman and used the card that lets you retrieve an effect from your discard pile. You can win really fast with him! I literally just steam roll to the objective by strictly discarding and cycling to the pieces pretty much works every time unless your opponents fate you a lot
Can you please clarify how to win with new Orleans being in the fortune pile? Do you have to draw it with cards will tell, or do you just win bc it's in the fortune pile and been played?
You have to draw it with the "cards will tell" :)
My friend lost 3 times with this guy and was so unlucky with Cards Will Tell.
Then I played one game with Dr and won the first time I played Cards Will Tell 😂😂😂😂
What happens if there are less than three cards in the Fortune pile when you play The Cards Will Tell?

Are there ant Villains you want to see as playable characters in Villainous? I would like Cruella De Vil and Oogie Boogie, each the star of an expansion pack.
Realistic want is GASTON! Can’t wait to see him realized. Kinda more of a dream want is Darth Vader. I don’t think they will release him.. but I made my own :)

When you use a card that says fortune on it, do you have to put it in the fortune pile or can you discard as you would regular items and allies? Facilier is kinda confusing for me
You can discard it like normal. Only when you use an effect that places a “fortune” card in the fortune pile do they go there :) np he is one of the more complex villains

Ok, I am really confused with Dr. Facilier's gameplay! LOL. First things first, do you discard cards into your Fortune Pile, or the actual Villain Discard pile? As for everything else, he's just...too confusing. Any other tips?
Hey. The biggest tip and realization for me was that the fortune deck is completely separate from the main deck. And cards can only be put into that pile if a card effect or the card itself says so
If the fortune pile grows large you have less of a chance to draw rule New Orleans.
So if you have the Rule New Orleans card, and your Fortune cards are face up, if you only have that card in your Fortune pile, and you play Cards Will Tell, do you win? Lol
Josh no you have to do as the cards will tell instructs and randomly draw 3 cards. So if there is less than 4 then yes you win. But you could still pull another card that prevents you from winning like shadows. So you need to just draw the 3 random cards

Sorry if I didnt include all cards. I used to make these vids only focusing on cards i believed needed clarification or were powerful. I have changed the format since and include all cards!

Ordelos haha I play a very aggressive version of him that pretty much sets me up to win in 1 - 2 turns after peter is played. I have had a lot of success.
@@LordoftheBoard thats true, but if him and the map are deep in the Deck you really have problems vs some others like prince john e.g.
Same Problem like djafar got. I like his playstyle, but he has too much too do for his winning condition
Dr. Facilier sure makes a great first impression and seems really powerful. But other than maybe Scar, there is no villain more susceptible to Fate spam in the game. Playing him on the receiving end of a Fate spammer is absolutely miserable. Conversely, spamming an opponent Facilier with Fate almost always results in an easy win.
