The irony is that there's this popular narrative that gay black men are somehow causing the destruction of the black family BUT it's the gay men and women who's helping their brothers, sisters and so on, help to financially, emotionally and mentally clean up the mess and support the children, abandoned or failed by their 'straight' parents. Girls will look for love and validation in relationships at an early age and end up teen moms too. I was with a guy that left me for another girl when I was 6 months pregnant . I was soo depressed and hurt. He would buy his daughter stuff but he wasn’t really around like a father. He would sometimes pick her up, take her to 711 and drop her back off. This is not what I wanted. I wanted him to actually take her places , appts, school, park ect.
After leaving the girl he left me for, he went through a few more girls then rekindle with an old friend that he ended up marrying. That’s when things changed for the better. He started picking her up , taking her places and calling her. I wouldn’t say he’s father of the year, he still has a lot to learn, but I’m grateful for the changes he’s made and I thank his wife often for helping him.

That young man is emotional damaged by something. He wants to be a better father, he just doesn't know how. The sex is clouding his judgement because he is using sex as a medicine to mask the pain of whatever he is trying to suppress. I really hope he takes advantage of the therapy Karamo offered him and come back with an update.
I wonder what's bothering him so much ? I'm guessing his parents & certain people don't show & give him the love he always needed ? It's crazy how many people are sad & depressed because of the love they wish they had . I really hope he can let go of the past & the pain & love himself more .
