To get the most of the amp you definitely need better headphones. I suggest the Sennheiser + Drop HD6xx. It's what most headphone audiophiles start out on, relate to, and can compare with. Balanced cables are a must for the HD6xx as well. I suggest Hart Audio Cables. Family owned, wonderful people, who care about their products and customers.
Thanks so much. I couldn’t agree more. I will be honest though that I really don’t like headphones that much. I have had several good ones throughout the years but I got rid of them because I’m more of a vintage speaker guy. I only have the Beats because I got them for work. Otherwise I would never buy Beats. I really would like to find a company that wants me to review their headphones so I can get some to test. I’d like to avoid buying headphones that I will only ever use to test.
