If you die to a zombie from an ominous vault in bedrock, and it picks up your armor, it _WILL NOT_ drop it upon death. _DO NOT_ kill the zombie. You need to get it 2 blocks deep in water, wait for it to drown, and THEN kill it, because the drowned WILL drop your items. (In Bedrock)
yeah i found that out the hard way. It doesn't drop your weapon either.
But does this allow you to get their trimmed armour?
@@FallinSheep yes actually, it does. And if it is an ominous spawner, it is also prot 4.

@@FallinSheep and also, when a trial zombie turns into a drowned, the game counts it as dead, so it will spawn new ones. You can afk farm it.
If the empty chests were meant to be for inventory management, I think one way to signify this is to pair them with a crafting table or furnace. Just have it be like a little workstation rather than a loot room
or a shulker so you could just take it with you rather than having to leave a chest full of stuff in the trial chamber.
@@davebeatthey definitely don't want to give shulkers for free
@@nutmeggaming11261bundles goddamnit. i swear as a mobile player i can think of so many ways they can fix bundles so they can’t make excuses.
@@davebeat those are supposed to be endgame exclusive but I get your idea
we would just need a heavily Nerfed version
maybe a quarter of the inventory size
no wonder those random chests i find are empty
Me and my friends got what Those empty chests were for after a little bit. We were all stunned for a bit, Cause really?? If you know people are having a hard time with their inventories in the trial chambers, Why not dial back the number random, useless items They threw at you. Me and my Three friends Want in with unenchanted iron armor Iron tools, Shield And a stack of bread for food. I'll never understand why they're constantly throwing glow berries, Honey bottles, I get their food items, but these aren't going to help you in battle They do almost nothing I don't think any one's walking in here without food That is much better, Bread is all you need. So many items in here that are just useless. That claug up your inventory for no reason. The developers thereselves called it junk in that tweet. I love this update but like what the heck?? 😅 Just so poorly thought out, It just highlights the inventory problem all over again.
Wait, so they're all supposed to have something in them? I only found one, that had two ominous potions in it, in an un rendered chamber
So those chests aren't supposed to be empty 90% of the time?
@@michealc7312The chest you see out in the open and aren't really hidden are For junk, secret chest for example in the hallways there are doors that have stairs which lead down to secret chests have stuff inside, that pretty much compares the difference between the junk chest and loot chest
Those chest were put their to help with inventory management by dropping stuff off in them
After this update, inventory management is even worse. They need to fix this asap.
I spend more time throwing items or deciding which ones i take, more than exploring the trial chambers.
I like to carry a bucket of lava to dispose of unwanted items. I wish they would give us bundles because exploring the trial chambers is a massive pain before you beat the dragon.
And this the reason that bundles should have been in-game already
Seriously, inventory management sucks in 1.21
Do you use shulker boxes. I carry around an ender chest and a silk touch pic. My ender chest is full of shulker boxes. Then I have 2 or 3 shulker boxes that just stay in my inventory. I never have any problem with inventory.
@@kaitiemarie9572 Yes, but i still spending a lot of time, even using ender chest combined with shulkers.
It's interesting how everyone talks about Mogswamp for having such a long standing world, but no - one ever talks about people like ibxtoycat (who, when you think about it, actually has a similar amount of subs to mogswamp)
Easy. One is on java other on bedrock.
Mogswamp plays on superflat
Probably because Mogswamp's content is all about his superflat world, while Toycat jumps around more
Fun fact. I just find out who mogswamp is today. Because it's Jimmy's 30 day hard-core server.
My 3 main survival worlds are all over 9 years old and I have had to weather many major bugs that at times almost destroyed my worlds. The main one now is that the 1.21 update “unplants” every rose, peony, lilac and sunflower in my worlds, whether it was natural planted or I planted it as farms/landscaping!
I’ve have been to about 32 trial chambers. I’m only missing creator music box, the heavy core, and precipice. Bedrock is very hard, and more than half of them were either too tiny or either very broken.
i got a core on my first vault but thats where the luck ends, been to about 30 as well and only wind burst 1
Music box version is only found in pots! You've probably been skipping those since it's so rare
i dont know why but i KEEP finding precipice o have like 6 copies now
@@madelynscorner I wish I had your luck
Im sorry to hear that, my luck is that I found 4 heavy cores already with all the music disc in under 10 trial chambers somehow
Empty chests! Yes. Every chest was empty (all 5) but two: one cake, one iron bar and one iron pickax. The other chest was three baked potatoes. Also the chamber was basically chopped in half- fragmented. Now when I downloaded Minecraft Preview the chamber was complete and had chests with actual loot in them. So I think something is up.
show up to trial chambers with empty inventory to get loot
find only empty chests and barrels
great update 👍
And impossible chance of getting wind burst, so great 👍
You easily get a full inventory of loot, stop being so needlessly negative over something that wasn't supposed to be loot anyway. Also chests aren't supposed to be the main source of loot.
@@D44RK_Iced_Yogs its not a bug, some chests aren't supposed to contain loot
@@arandomcreatureontheinternet15 which is a headscratcher to me bc a chest with loot can still be used for inventory management. you take out the good loot and store what you dont need/want.
@@D44RK_Iced_Yogs Not a bug...
21:04 you don't need an anvil to rename maps (at least not on bedrock) you can do it from a cartography table and I don't think it costs you any levels.
This is correct and no it doesn’t cost any levels.
18:11
I remember that when 1.17 came out you were streaming getting new blocks or something and you made a new nether portal and it was floating over water when you went through. That is where the floating portal came from. 😂 (I was watching)
Thx
Bedrock edition doesn't save a chunk to the save file when it's first generated. It only saves it when it changes from that default somehow. So if you explore an area, but don't spend a lot of time in it then you absolutely can get single chunk by itself that has had random ticks to force them to save to disk but not the surrounding chunks. This can give you a single chunk in the middle of a trial chamber that's part of the old generation. This is done to save storage space especially when exploring on higher render distances where little is simulated and thus not saved either.
I don't believe this is true, try loading up a world and flying around and then switching versions - the old terrain will stay despite not being interacted with
@@toycat The area nearest spawn right when the world is created will of course be immediately saved. Additionally since caves and cliffs part 2, Mojang has gotten really good at making the borders between old and new invisible except for obviously things like structures.
Try using a tool like unmined to make a map of the generated chunks and you will see a sprinkling of 1 off chunks all over the place surrounding the denser more actively used areas. This was a big issue around the time of the caves and cliffs update part 2 since in betas the old chunks just got solid bedrock all the way from 0 to -64 in the old chunks instead of new caves generated below. This would have resulted in chunks of bedrock surrounded by caves had Mojang not changed the world gen in old chunks. Silent Wisperer did a bugrock on it.
@@toycat I was going to say something similar. MasterOkojo is partially correct. When Caves and Cliffs was introduced. Mojang trimmed Bedrock worlds. To only save chunks that had been modified or spent over a certain amount of time in. This was only a one time thing during the update. To my knowledge.
My world dropped in size. From over half a gig to about a third of a gig at that time.
@@toycat it is (at least somewhat) true. If you make a custom superflat or single biome or whatever, fly around the world and place blocks, then close it and edit the world files to a different world type, you'll see that there's a lot of those "one chunk areas" where everything around them was updated.
This is true and anyone wanting to test it can use Amulet editor to see what chunks have been "saved".
The empty chests thing definitely seems like a bug they’re aren’t fessing up to. If I’m traveling far from home to visit one of these, no way am I wanting to leave my stuff in a random chest that I’ll never come back to. I’ll either load stuff into my ender chest (which if they really wanted to help the player with inventory, they could’ve installed one of those here instead) or just toss the stuff. There’s zero reason to put stuff in a random chest.
I don’t keep all the crap I get in trial chambers. I have a whole chest of cooked food and uncooked food…. I don’t want to take home a bunch of cooked potatoes and chicken. I left a lot of stuff in those empty chest and was so thankful for them. It’s easier for me on mobile to put in a chest vs throwing it out and hoping myself not anyone else accidentally picks it up.
It is 100% for that by "junk" they mean like, pots that you break, stone, bricks, rotten meat, etc, of course you're not gonna leave anything essential on a random chest, you leave the junk so you can take other things
Every trial chamber in new chunks have been this way
Bro's become a detective now😂 I never watch videos like this, but this was incredibly entertaining.
I wonder if this is a bug from their new generation for trial chambers. They are really big, and if they generate in a more dynamic way to increase randomness in how they generate, it could lead to you not loading the spawn point of the structure, while you've already loaded chunks that would be inside the structure.
It's the only way I can imagine this happening. They aren't spawned in the proper spot in the generation order.
Just an idea, but I don't know what else could do that.
Do you know if the "missing" chunk are aligned with the direction you approached the trial chamber?
I haven't even tried to find a trial chamber. Mojang said they stopped with multiple major updates a year to prevent bugs just for them to fail anyways.
The chambers ive been finding are in pieces with random hallways, chests, and even complete rooms potentially being 100-200 blocks apart. I also found a complete trial chamber under a previously explored village. I know i explored it because i made a complete level 4 map of the area to preserve a biome back in 1.19. Ive also found a trial chamber with no ominous vaults
Can attest to this. I have seen countless trials chambers with nothing in chests, and fractions of an actual chamber which is a bit annoying since it means that I have to travel further and further for a chance to drop a heavy core. Currently on my 8th one and still no luck
Yeah me too I also pretty sure you have to open the ominous vaults not the normals one which Is really big inconvenience because I can't get any ominous bottles
When 1.19 released, I accidently downgraded my survival world, which caused the seed to be corrupted and reset. In the nether this caused a few wacky bastions to generate into giant netherrack walls, so I was surprised when none of my trial chambers had been sliced like this.
Yeah, generated the preset seed for trial chambers in bedrock 1.21.10 beta and 80% of chests were empty
If you use a map like Xaeroes World Map, you can actually see random chunks generating off to the side sometimes! They usually seem to be within 8 chunks of the nearest loaded chunk edge, but they do happen in 1.16.5 and 1.20.2 for sure.
I’ve been to around 6 trial chambers so far, and they’ve all sustained some damage
some like the first one I found have been almost untouched, others have been utterly annihilated, past the point where it could be considered a coherent structure
why the wind charge only send me 1 block in bedrock edition?
and
why the wind charge is so slow compared to the java edition?
you have to jump at the same time as using the wind charge. it’s weird because mojang doesn’t tell you this in their video about it.
I haven't found any broken chambers in my almost 4 year old world.
I have noticed though that if you fly using an elytra through an area fast enough, some of the chunks will load but not all of them in time before you get too far away (especially on consoles that don't load as fast as a PC can). Likely what happened.
Very helpful! Ran into the same problem finding trial chambers in my old survival world
in my opinion, the best/fastest way to farm together a few maces would most likely be to build a trial key farm. Basically: flush down the mobs/loot from the spawners into deep holes periodically that have hoppers at the bottom to pick stuff up. Just gotta dig out most of the surroundings of the spawners. It's best to also biuld a minecart track around the trial chamber where you can ride around to activate the spawners in question. Do note that this woun't work with slime spawners, as those don'ttake fall damage. For those, you'd have to provide them an alternative killing mechanism. Like magma blocks/iron golems/etc.
Once you farmed in enough keys of either type, you can just go into new trial chambers with them, and go claim the rewards, without bothering with the mobs inside.
Yeah we already knew they wouldn't generate correctly in any terrain that was already rendered in. I have one that didn't fully generate You gotta find them in chunks that haven't been generated yet. I'm really surprised they can even spawn in at places that have already been rendered.
He's saying that the chunks are glitched even when he goes to unloaded chunks
@@AliaM270 oh really? I haven't had that happen yet, just in chunks that already rendered in .
The one closest to my base was in fully rendered chunks and was really broken, only a few chunks from the chambers are in there, its really annoying
i went 2000 blocks away from my base, and 12000 from spawn, so i know no one else was there, and i had a trial chamber with a giant cube of deepslate in the middle.
That's why I wait about month or more to update after full release, there's so much dust (bugs) to settle...
The map wasn't wrong about the terrain, you just followed the wrong one, the one that was under the ocean that you said you didn't want to go to. You just didn't realize it was the wrong map in the video. It was ocean because that's exactly what the map showed originally lol.
I have raided 3 trial chambers with my kid and we had a lot of fun. Kid even said they were too easy, although we each popped a totem of undying once in the expedition. I really appreciated the empty chests and barrels all around as we made good use of them dumping all the stuff we didn't need between battles, and now I can go back and retrieve some of the stuff that is useful. None of the chambers we went to were broken thankfully.
I have found some funky trial chambers. But mostly I'm fine.(If you can call a chamber with only Bogged and cave spiders fine, soooo much poisen)
I've found something else that may be a bug. On the realm that I play on with friends, I got a cartographer, and he has started selling maps without any marker for the trial chambers. I got maybe 7 or so fresh maps from him before he started doing this too.
One thing you can do is use mcaselector to:
1. Select all chunks containing a trial chamber
2. Select all chunks within, say, five chunks of those chunks
3. Delete those chunks
4. And thus force them to regenerate with enough padding not to need to worry about biome blending.
I found two of these trial chambers right next to 2 different strongholds and the first stronghold the trial chamber actually deleted the stronghold's end portal so I had to travel like 4000 blocks away for a completely different one
One thing I hate about this update is how the PlayStation 4 version of the game which allowed you to go back to older editions has disappeared I can’t go back and it’s something that really angers me
I thought you had told us early on when it first came out that there would be generation errors between other structures like mines and geodes? I don’t think it has anything to do with having loaded any chunks.
For the record, explorer maps work differently in Bedrock and Java. In Bedrock, villagers can give you different maps to different places nearby. In Java each villager only gives you the same map each time, but they all lead to different structures than each other. Bedrock villagers have a map hivemind, but can also be moved around to get different maps because it’s based on what structures are nearby (this is what makes each villager in the village give you the same map). Java villagers always give you a unique structure, but can only give you one map each. Moving them around doesn’t matter. Hopefully this stops someone from beating their head against a wall in frustration.
bug found in 1.21 , not all items drop when mined like copper ore and stone and netherrack ( this goes for all stackable items ) and when picked up you cannot move the picked up items until you get more of the item that does not want to be moved .
( this bug works when moving items in all inventorys ( chests hoppers droppers crafters etc. ) from your own inventory. )
From my experience
The dispensers and pots have loot but the chests and barrels don’t
Also my world seed apparently changed by a lot to the point the only way /locate works in going 2000 blocks out
It's for sure just broken generation in 1.21, I started a brand-new world on 1.21 and my stronghold has a similar bug where the structure has no clear path through it, it's split into 3-4 different areas of the stronghold with solid ~16 block walls in-between instead of corridors, had to dig into my portal room to find it, it also had an amethyst geode half generated in the portal room..
My first trial chamber spawned in 2 pieces they weren’t far from each other but it was really annoying
Is this why the 1st trial chamber I found was tiny? (Only 2 rooms with spawners.)
Haven't explored the second one yet. Hopefully That one will be bigger.
You will need about 100 chambers to get wind enchantment at level 3. It's a 1/48 chance and only drops level 1 books. I've got 4 maces, and everything else, but still no books after 30 some chambers
4 maces I haven't even gotten one yet
I've been using chunck base to find villages/cartographers outside the chunks I've already explored. So far, it's gone well. I'm glad to know the chests are supposed to be like that. I started thinking my world gliched lol
So you’re admitting to cheating
@@__The_Real_V__I 'cheat' like crazy on the realm my wife and I share.
We agree to :
Have 'cheats' on
Use chunkbase to find goodies
Keep inventory on
Use console commands
Not care about in-game achievements
We agreed to the rules and have fun.
It's not impinging on anyone
@@__The_Real_V__ if you think that's cheating. I used chunkbase to find chambers and then loaded a creative save of my survival world so that I could quickly scout ahead and make sure that my chambers are intact and worth visiting
For the zombies and Husks wearing armor. You can pull them into water and they will transform which will cause them to drop their gear which will float to the surface.
Okay I will explain the chests being empty, the chest were meant to store items before you enter a large chamber, I have noticed that when I was entering in some of those chambers, the chest is allways at the entrance of the chamber. You can use them to empty valuables from your inventory before fighting that chamber, reason why there are beds in one of the main areas, you can return to that chamber, collect your weapons and armor without worrying of your loot getting lost. And what about those chest that were full of loot? those are in the main safe chambers and meant to prepare you for battle in the chambers. Thats quite genius from the Devs, not gonna lie.
Hey! Right now you can get mending garenteed as a trade from the swamp librarian. I actually got 12 on them today on my survival world before the trade sold out. REALLY op but absolutely a time saver for me.
You mentioned random chunks being loaded in older versions. From my own experience, I can tell you that that's true and that the bug exists since 1.16. When you're exploring new chunks, the square wasn't generated from the player as an origin outwards. Instead, the game began from the player as an origin point before just loading random chunks. Back then, I switched a world from normal to superflat and that's where I noticed the issue the first time because random chunks weren't flat, but normal.
I experienced that bug.
I brought a map from a Villager and traveled to the nearest Trial Chamber. But when I arrived there, the chunks were missing and the chamber was blocked by deepslate
I have the same situation on my realm. Parts of the trial chamber or bugged out. Generation is messed up. I’m missing a bunch of the actual trial chamber. You’re actually just getting a small one. Don’t know if it’s specifically for worlds that are slightly older, or if it happens with new worlds that you generate.
To reiterate the Warning: don't buy all your trial maps at once, I got the same map 3 times!
Granted, they were technically a chamber I'd not been to, just...you know...the same one .
One issue with the logic at 11:40: Java simulates in a square, but bedrock simulates in a diamond. A 4 chunk sim distance on bedrock goes 4 chunks away from you north south east west, but in the diagonal directions it's shorter. So that might cause a loaded chunk to stab up into an area like that, but dunno if that actually explains some of the specific things you're seeing though
If you load a bedrock save in Amulet, it doesn't look like it saves things just because they get simulated. As you get further from the main areas of your world, the saved chunks get like swiss cheese and eventually become just random chunks here and there
I have a main world like yours but I opens a new one so I can try the trial chambers I was so confused when the chest had nothing in them glad to know its like that intensionally also that brezzy or whatever's its called took me completely off guard so glad I had a shield and a gold apple
Trial chambers are also broken on spigot servers, they straight up crash the entire server
I had the same thing happen to me where parts if the chambers were missing in Java, but I could tell those missing chunks I had generated before in a previous update. I had it happen to me 4 times, it feels like they try to spawn as close as possible, but get cut off by old chunks in the process.
I'm glad to see this video. I've been exploring trial chambers that I know I haven't been around, but I was getting broken chunks
The loaded chunks, commonly called the player ticking area, actually isn’t a square. Rather it’s a Diamond
It loads the chunk you’re in, 3 (it might be 4 but I can’t recall which) more in each lateral direction, and the chunks which diagonally join those arms, along with everything in between
It’s like an oddly shaped rhombus. I thought this wasn’t too pedantic to point out considering it does impact the conclusion you drew on the assumption that the ticking area was square.
Hi to be honest the way bedrock saves chunks is very annoying. You have to either have a mob spawn in it, or have interacted with it by changing a block or using an item. Before caves and cliffs it used to save whatever you rendered into the world. I think that's what's causing this bug to be honest. If you play on high simulation distance, there's a chance that chunk just had a mob spawn in it.
My first 2 are both broken too.
Also both have geodes in them too.
Going to go for a 3rd
My first one ran into deep dark and a geode
Thanks ibx, and this is why we should always backup our worlds.
can confirm that trial chambers that are farther from spawn are in fact fully functional. i first travelled to some chunks which i did not know i explored, and it seemed both chambers which i found, were broken. they were about 1-2k blocks from spawn. then, i went far out to some unexplored directed. after about 6k blocks, i found a village, and the map led me to a fully functional chamber. i went to six more afterwards (to find the creator disc) and none of those were broken. note that each one was further each time, with the last being 15k blocks from spawn.
also, if you're having trouble finding villages, bring some weakness arrows and golden apples to cure zombie villagers on the go.
I think this is a bug that has always occurred where bedrock randomly loads chunks in your world. Silent whisperer mentioned it once
correction needed: your description of chunk generation does NOT apply to 1.18 chunks.
i found this out with my 1.16 bds world that I still play in and just recently rescued from chunk corruption. I've been making external world maps since the start and found that 1.17 generation was as you described, but 1.18+ they are know sparsely saving chunks so that you get a scattering of disconnected chunks that are saved. if a chunk is generated but not modified in any way, it may not get saved.
I was killed from lag and a baby zombie picked up my god armour, they dont drop the armour. Moments like these make me mad that turning on cheats turns off achievements.
If you haven't killed the zombie yet, you can let it sit in water for 30 seconds so it turns into a drowned. In bedrock right now drowneds drop 100% of the items they had when they were zombies, so if you turn it into a drowned and then kill it you can save your items. The same thing happened to my friend.
@@cryptictrothank you so much, I've only tested it in a copy so far. Gonna try your method now
@@Junimopris Glad I could help! Unfortunately I didn't learn in time to save my friends stuff, but a few hours after he lost his things I remembered that fact, and tried it out in a creative world. Funny enough this method also makes zombies drop the armor they generate with upon death, so if you flood the room and kill them all after they turn into drowneds, you can farm prot 4 armor from the trial chambers.
@@cryptictro that's genius, you could also get the trims for free without spending potential hours looting a bunch of chests
@@Junimopris Yep! Let me know if you save your items.
So glad this wasn't just me, I got like 3 trial keys before I found a chest to use it on, and then found 2 more chests before one would accept the key
Got windburst 1 and precipice from the same trial chamber last night :D
Also got a trident which I didn’t even know was possible
I thought those chests were bugs but funnily enough I used them for inventory management without even knowing that was the purpose! It really came in handy lol
Surely if you haven’t been there since caves and cliffs the below deep slate parts of the chunk aren’t going to have been loaded
There is a bug or a feature perhaps? The ominous vault or regular vaults item animation you can use the key in time if the item you want shows in the animation then you can get the item you wanted guaranteed (this ruins the chances for you to have enchanted books like wind burst)
I thought I was going crazy when I looked up the random chunks of stone ruining the chambers and found nothing online about it
I had one in my world that was literally missing a singular chunk. That chunk included a ominous vault that was literally one block off
I have chunk errors in chunks that i have definitely never visited. So far nothing too horrible but i just started using the update. I definitely enjoy it.
In my world. A trial chamber is mixed together with the stronghold. It's super broken. As it's been placing the stronghold rooms in and around the Trial once
I play on my brand new 1.21 world, built my base 30k blocks away from spawn. The trial chambers are still broken. This update has a lot of issues
I realized the chests were empty on purpose after i found one with actual loot. I started putting my extra crap in them. Like stone axes and wood from barrels. A while later, it clicked for me. Thats what they were for.
The first trial chamber i found was ONE chunk 😭 with no spawners
What about the major bugs that destroys the roses, sunflowers, peonys and lilacs!?! This makes my survival worlds unplayable!!!
Whoa! I've seen the sunflower bug in my world, haven't come across the others (yet).
The weird thing was, it wasn't *every* sunflower, but instead ~90% of them in a given area 🤔
@@emilyroy9434What it appears to do is it tries to plant 2 additional sunflowers per block, so then all are broken and floating. Did it in my friend Zach’s PS4 world as well.
Empty chest because you fill inventory insanely fast in the chambers😂
Why didn't they make all of them loot chests that generate with very rare chances of valueable items, but are usually empty.
"Yes we recognize there's an inventory issue... Solution? Chest!"
I mean, I looted an entire 19 trial chambers (in a pre 1.20 world) meeting only one with chunks missing, though I definitely saw many empty chests and while I didn't know that it was their feature, I did use them for inventory management haha
I did find both one with a mineshaft and two different chambers with a dungeon in them though
Ive noticed sometimes you can't place or swap items in the hotbar bar. Its getting super annoying already
Normal mobs spawn normally inside one of the Trial structures I found, it started happening after I died outside the structure and respawned back inside after I slept through the night in the structure. Buggy as hell
Hey I have a bug that seems to be only affecting bedrock basically when you put on a custom skin with glasses on and the some head gear the glasses dissapear and when you take the head gear off they come back
That’s normal, it does that to prevent bits of the skin from sticking out through the armor.
originally i thought the empty chests were glitched, but then i just used them for inv manegment lol
I thought they were for storage. Honestly thought it was just mojang trying to solve inventory issues.
Best solution I’ve seen to this is to just start a whole new world per update. Not perfect, but definitely lessens the problem.
8:39 that creeper be waiting to explode
This is a painful bug, so many ominous vaults overwritten by deepslate
Holy cow I've been dumping my crap in the trial chamber chests not knowing that's what they were for
You have played on that world for over 124,000 minutes 😮
After the update, I noticed a few Trial Chambers that were incomplete structures.
I bought a trail founding map and it didnt show me anything
Not that the spot.on the map didnt have the chamber, there wasnt a marked spot
Expand the map. Make it bigger. If it is further away than the area covered by a small map, it wont show up without making it bigger by putting paper around it or on a cartography table.
same happened to me, enabled cheats and did /locate, and there was a trial chamber right next to the village. This happened on a snapshot though
@@Armoredmaple122/locate on a copy of the world so you can get achievements
@@CallMeChrisOfficial nah i was on java
I think a good resolution for storage in the TC would be to replace the junk chests with junk barrels. This would be confusing at first still, but would be easier to understand as you go.
Players go to these structures to find cool and unique loot, not to find empty chests to "manage your inventory"
Interesting. Good thing i want going to find one in my old worlds.
This definitely explains why the first trial chamber I found was a single room with one empty chest surrounded by nothing by deep slate and a little bit of tuff block 🤣🤦🏼♀️
I started my new world a couple of days ago. While going down for mining, there was a huge cave under my world spawn. I saw a huge flat wall of deep slate. Went to it and mined a few blocks. Turned out that it was a Trial Chamber hiding in it. Really weird it generated that way.
This happened on my Bedrock-turned-Java world that got was on 1.20.6 then got the 1.21 update. I thought the chests were supposed to be empty so that players could dump out trash or items they didn’t need or want, or just to clear inventory space for items from the vaults.
In the new (but old seed) world I'm playing there are no useable villages (save for one undead village) within 2000 blocks, so I had to go to a Fortress to learn potions and cure a random undead villager and make him into a cartographer. Because he's cured he's been selling me maps for 1 emerald for something like 30 game days and I have now accumulated 19 Trial Explorer maps. My goal is to fill an entire barrel full of maps and them go back to each of the chambers and loot them once I have decent weapons and armor.
if they need to add chests for inventory management that just shows that they've made bad loot tables!
Who in their right mind would go exploring with all of their items!
