No… the door has a nub in the middle of it that latches into the part between the door frame and the rear tire. Designed to lock the door in place when fully open. The strap is for people like you who don’t know enough but think they know it all.
Hello not on this unit. Only the glass window locks open like you are describing. The new equipment they don't make for you to keep the doors open when in operation.
