Why don't students in Honk Kong, China and India get bored in Middle and High school; are American children different?

Perhaps because they're taught to see education as a great novelty and achievement in itself, especially if there is a competitive atmosphere.

Christa M the value of education. The culture difference is correct he stated in the beginning. Our country doesn’t value education. So many with degrees not using it. It cost so much. Tv media still shows kids ditching classes in cartoons. Honestly the text books spoon feed you the answers like the way JW does too. If we valued education we would have much more languages !

because of the immense pressure and stress that the parents of students in these countries. even as a chinese descendent growing up in a different country these strict goals im expected to meet force me into giving everything for the sake of middle and high school. in comparison, american schools have a more relaxed culture
