  • The 2018 Bassmaster Elite Season begins where B.A.S.S. fishing tournaments got their start 50 years ago, Alabama. Lake Martin is the first stop for the best bass fishing anglers in the world this year, and muddy water makes consistency a challenge.

    Takahiro has been my favorite since the '04 Classic. Simply a lot of fun to watch and one hell of a bass fisherman.

    That’s insane having a bass bite, getting snagged up on a stump, breaking off, then finally getting them back a day or two later😂really gives me hope for fish I’ve snapped off on

    Takohire is so underrated. Sure he aint won a hole lot of tournaments but hes always there in the top 13.. Most of the time anyways.. Obviously everyone has off tournaments and dont make it to day 3 or sometimes 2 but here in day 3 and the leader aint even gettin cheered on!

      I don’t think it was just because of the lure. It was simply because that’s where the fish were and he knew it. The bass want to stay out of the strong current in the main river so they congregate in the calm coves and backwater waiting for food. It makes for easy fishing as you can see. Easier than hunting them down in the main lake.

    I know the saying looked bigger cause ya lost it.. But thia bass was bigger then any steelhead i seen landed last year
    I lost prolly a 13 or a 12 at least pounder cause she wrapped her self up with my line jerked jerked squirmed and snapped my damn line. Prolly 5 or 7 feet in front of me.. 2nd... Saddest day of my life...

      They don't kill the fish....They release them all after each weigh in.

      They've done tagging studies on this and it's a tiny percentage of these fish that die.
