Unfair challenge. To get your biscuits southern "perfect" you need to cool your dough for 20 minutes. Doesn't serve the dish in the end to cram this all into 45 minutes.

It's sauce until you put meat in it then it becomes gravy. That's why we called it Sunday gravy because Sunday was the only time we put meat in it. Meatballs don't count.

Not all gravy had meat. You can add sausage, but it’s still biscuits and gravy without the meat.
