Godzilla's regeneration in that movie is a complete outrage, without a doubt that version of the king of the monsters was terrifying and his atomic breath is incredibly destructive, to the point of destroying a combat ship in less than 2 seconds with it, but that Yes, in terms of resistance this Godzilla is much weaker than the Godzilla of the Monsterverse, he makes up for that with his rapid regeneration. Great reaction mashup!
6:05 this entire sequence on word is probably the most beautiful piece of cinema I have ever seen, with the slim chance that the Taiko made it out in one piece, the music flairs and the water starts glowing and you already know what’s going to happen but it’s still hits you just as hard as it’s shown, amazing.
I've seen every Godzilla film since I was a kid and in every one of those films they had a fictional ship that could either fly or was naval but in Godzilla Minus One it actually had a ship that was real the I.J.N. Takao which was the first ship of the Takao Class Heavy Cruisers that served in WW2 only to be sunk by the British Navy at the end of the war being used for target practice which is probably where it was heading for in this movie when it was recalled when Godzilla showed up.
This is where it really sunk in, how much different this whole movie was going to be. I have watched Godzilla movies for over 40 years, and I have never seen him as pissed off and scary as he was in this movie. The look of anger on Godzilla's face as he chased that boat was a pure Holy #$#! moment in the theater.
Every time I see that part where Godzilla attacks and destroys the Heavy Cruiser Takao including blasting it from underwater with his atomic breath it reminds me so much of the first fight sequence between Godzilla and Kong in Godzilla vs. Kong where the 2 monsters are fighting on the deck of an aircraft carrier and after Kong knocks Godzilla into the water as he's underneath the ship he powers up his atomic breath and blows the Aircraft carrier in half as Kong jumps off of it and it was in a similar manner as Godzilla destroyed the Takao.
I think the detonator wire was connected but when the mine ended up in Godzilla's mouth I think it was his teeth that severed the connections as his teeth are probably extremely sharp.
One of the scariest scenes, just imagine something like that chasing you on the sea with that sinister look on Godzilla's face

That's because he regenerate and no matter how many damages he gets.
He get stronger.
That explains Godzilla's resurrection between Godzilla and Godzilla Raids Again.
How is it an outrage?
@@3912Jamesno minus one isn’t the same as the original gojis, godzilla 1954 and godzilla 1955 from raids again are 2 separate godzillas
Godzilla has always been able to regenerate. Couldn't really show that effect on the suits

Technically in the movie they did't call it the 'Atomic Breath' it was called the 'Heat Ray'.
That's sort of its official name
I love how japan watched jaws and just went ha a scuba tank took down your monster but it didn't even slow ours down
I know it´s been said already but this thing puts the western version to shame
