Hey Dustin! The part i like the most about this video has to be that telecaster hanging up in the office. My first guitar happened to be a telecaster so it was pretty cool to see one hanging in your workspace. Hi there Dustin. Brett from Brisbane here. Long time fan of your art, your design, and your vlogs. I love the bricolage approach to fashioning your own workspace. It reminds me of the way that the highly functional studios of both Tom Sachs and Casey Neistat seem to emerge from the necessity of the creative momentum. In a way the studio is an extension of the artist and the art that they produce, somewhat of a creative eco-skeleton that is always being reshaped and reformed.
Shame I’m not on Insta... that jersey would be a sweet add. Dope space. Love the natural light. Best part...honestly, the corners/pieces where you mention your wife”s items. They seem to sit in a “oh I’m just glancing over there” snd (boom, she inspires). Neat space, snd hella lotta bikes

I asked him if he ever heard from you and he said you had a clothing line & that you were big into bikes! Then I came across this UA-cam channel! Very entertaining! Congratulations on all your success!
So many things to like! I thought it was interesting that your workshop is quite orderly (perhaps reflecting the precision and focus of tasks done in that space), and the Art Haus appeared more relaxed with a dash of chaos (perhaps for inspiration and flow without limits). The Art Haus tough shed is my favourite. I'd have the workshop downstairs and studio upstairs.
You can keep the protagonist shirt, i wouldn't mind rocking the sale-boat-made jacket on my daily bike commutes, glad to se another tinkerer with unfinished projects and bikes everywhere. always happy when i see a DK upload. cheers from Cluj, romania
I feel like I know you so much better now - the different irons in the fire are pretty dang cool, creativity sloshing all over the place. My favorite part though was the little Chris King Angry Bee hub guy that just stayed perched on your chest and followed you everywhere. I wear a small btw. And live right here in PDX.

You were kind enough to chat me up for a bit and tell me about your recent adventure with Ivy and the space-mobile! Your set up/work spaces inspire me to be more creative and try building something with my hands. I used to skate quite a bit so I love seeing the intersections of all your interests and knickknacks from over the years. The DVS sticker on the old track frame, the ETBD custom board, the adidas shoes. Real neat. I don't really skate anymore but still have an appreciation for it. I'm in Austin and I actually love that you aren't afraid to put your doodles/artwork everywhere. I'm too hard on myself about what "deserves" to be on walls/visible spaces but the reality is most things I make teach me some kind of lesson or help me work some shit out, even if they aren't "pretty"

This was such an awesome video! Always been interested in your art/bike studio setup on your property and this showcased how damn talented and creative you are Mr. DK! Would love to see some more content related to your art or any of those unfinished projects you mentioned. Oh and I’m down in Orange County California, but hoping to move up to Portland once I graduate, so the more DK pieces I can get the better I’ll fit in up there hahaha.
I really resonated with the wall of Knick knacks and the keeping parts of things. My partner calls it hoarding, I say it’s sentimentality!
