6:10 wine after this version of him look miserable Also, I remember seeing a commercial that was not meant to advertise snuggles It said it was meant to advertise Nintendo 64 game battletanx He got ran over by a tank and gets burnt, and he literally dies Welp not really
As I've said a million times to similar comments across multiple episodes, the name of this show has become a misnomer. Essentially it doesn't really mean "retired" or "extinct" (though we generally cover those a lot too), but more that it's about mascots who no longer have an absolutely enormous and inescapable pop culture presence as they once did. So yeah, Snuggle's still around, and it's great, but they are no longer what they once were popularity wise lol

Wow...some '60s pop culture references in this one, my friends...Micky Dolenz from The Monkees along with Speed and Trixie. Corinne Orr also did voices for other Japanese cartoons from the same studios that gave us Speed Racer, like Kimba the White Lion. My friend Joe Giddings has performed with Micky a number of times, and there's even photographic evidence of that here on UA-cam as they appear together in at least one video that I know of. However, he has never officially met Snuggle...oh well, maybe some day...
Well and this is an issue we run into a lot on this show and at least openly admit is that the series title is sort of misleading, because many of these mascots aren't exactly "gone" because they still appear on packaging and stuff. Ultimately what we've decided is that what our title means is that they no longer held the pop culture prevalence that they once did, and so they have fallen out of the limelight.
I'm fairly sure after his advertising career tanked, Snuggle did go on to be a DJ named Freshy Clean. Droppin' them hot beats like they're fresh laundry.

The snuggle bear still is alive and well for commercials

Well snuggle is semi retired, since the bear appears on the product and online, but not in commercials.
