C'était beaucoup mieux et mélodieux que l'Eurovision archi-criarde en anglais ou rap d'aujourd'hui !! Les choix judicieux des jury d'autrefois, ont bien changé en 50 ans avec les nouvelles générations, vers le sens du moins bien, quel dommage !!

@@jeanfrancoisflutecover6592 bien que l'industrialisation de ce milieu ai changé les codes, les musiciens contemporains n'ont nullement perdu leur sens de la recherche artistique et musicale, et il est possible d'y voir du bon, au même titre que les nouvelles générations peuvent venir en puiser ici !
Il y a eu une exception avec Barbara Pravi et sa chanson "Voilà" qui s'est placée 2ème à l'Eurovision
Eurovision song contest - vous rigolez? C‘est pas Concours Eurovision de la Chanson mais Concours Eurovision du bruit mal organisé! J'attends un artiste qui monte sur scène avec un char, qui lance des grenades au rythme des tambours qui marchent à reculons et tombent dans une marmite de soupe, qui danse le Kasachok.
Le temps des magnifiques chansons… un temps qui n’existe presque plus. Merci Frida Boccara, nous ne vous oublierons pas.

@@JeanFMoser Je ne connais pas les conditions de son décès (même si je sais qu'elle est morte d'une infection pulmonaire), mais c'est un peu injuste de dire qu'elle a été oubliée de tous. Elle n'a jamais eu une grande carrière en France car son style classique était trop intemporel pour réellement s'inscrire dans les modes propres à chaque génération, mais elle a eu une vraie carrière internationale car elle était emblématique d'une certaine idée de la chanson française à l'étranger. Elle fait partie, avec Anne-Marie David, Nicole Rieu ou Marie Myriam de ces chanteuses qui ont excellemment représenté la chanson française à l'Eurovision et qui en fait ont été plus populaires à l'étranger qu'en France. Et puis 25 ans après sa mort, nous sommes quand même assez nombreux à revenir écouter régulièrement sa voix magnifique.

C'est une de mes chanson favorites: Les paroles sont vraiment poétique, la ballde a un très beau mélodie et Frida's chant et merveilleuse. Une chanson vraiment touchante. Salutations de l'Allemagne.

I have always remembered this song since seeing her perform it in 1969. I don't think the Eurovision Song Contest has ever had a finer song ---- or performance. I am very sad to see that Frida Boccara died aged only 55. What a star!

Actually if they used the vote systems after 1969, Frida would be the winner. That voice still mesmerizing. Those good old days, when ESC really was a non polical-no lmbtq-SONG contest. Pure talents, so that is acceptable, that 4 songs were winners. All different genre, style and presentation.

This is my all time favourite esc song. What a fantastic performance Frida gave and she really sings into my heart. This song should have been the only winner of that night, not to share the 1st place with 3 other songs that didn't live up to this standard.
The original Eurovision performance immediately stood out as something very special. That summer my wife and I visited France and tracked down a copy of the record which was not available in the UK. We still have the record and both the song and singer still stand out as the best ever Eurovision performance.

@@robvantemmen1344 She does have a lighter voice, I agree, but I still prefer Frida, I have goosebumps when I listen to her version, it doesn't happen when I listen to Agnetha's (it does with other songs by her, just not with this one). Music is very subjective, of course. Have a nice week-end 😊

It's not only the song, which I loved from the first time I heard it (and never understood why the result was a 3 way tie, since Un Jour was far better than the other two songs), but her voice, and the incredible performance she gives never fails to bring tears to my eyes.
Barry Baker it was a 4 way tie. The Netherlands , France , Spain and United Kingdom won that year. But i agree that this is the best song of the four.
Thanks for correcting me, that makes it even more mystifying that she didn't win outright! Actually, I just watched the other three entries on youtube, and the Dutch song was pretty good too (Lenny Kuhr - "de Troubadour"). The most galling part was that here in Britain, the radio stations just considered Lulu's terrible Boom Bang-a-Bang to have won, and only rarely played any of the other winners afterwards. I like Lulu, but that song was quite dreadful.
@@barrywbaker definitely the weakest of the four. The fact that Lulu was singing it helped no doubt. I do like how different the styles of the four winners were.

How she didn't win outright, I will never know.
I always get teary listening to this song. And I don't even speak the language. It is something with her voice and the melody which gets to me. And when reading the translated lyrics, it all makes sense.
