And if Prep Doctors is eventually going to have sites in Montreal?
And also you think the nature of this exam will be the same as OSCE exam in Austrelia where they have examiners actually to act as a patient with a scenario given to the examinees to start communicating with them?
Yes I think so. I do have a friend who lives there and after dental school and as part of their Board exam inlcuding OSCE they had to interact with examiners acting as a patients. Scenario of each patient is given to the examinee first before they enter the room and there they need to deal with different cases such as reversible or irreversible pulpits cases, periodontal disease, patient at high risk caries, patients with AB allergies, CVD and so on. They have 6 min in each operatory room to deal with acting patient and all their behaviour both verbal non verbal, level of communication, explaining the issue to the patient both professionals and to the level understandable for public are all observed. In some cases they must write prescriptions for different cases. They have new patients vs returning patient cases as well to see how effectively a DDS can deal with new vs regular patient. Thats what I was told.
How they count the 5 years period, is it from the 1st attempt?

When is the first NDECC exam in this new cycle?

In terms of Montreal, we currently offer our AFK and ACJ courses there however we do not currently have a lab in Montreal. We're always looking to improve to satisfy all of our students needs and will keep the idea in mind!

NDECC has unlimited attempts but do we have to pay the same hefty amount each time we give it?😢
Yes doctor, the NDEB charges the same exam registration fee for every attempt
