They didn’t have any energy left, half of the team is finished and they pushed themselves to press and play good the first half. Defense is finished apart from Konate, Mid is finished apart from Bajcetic and idk why Klopp brings Firmino and Jota who are out of form and were injured for 5 and 2 months until last week. Klopp does his shitty preplanned subs every match this season and absolutely every time we get worse and become useless after bringing the 60-70th minute mid and forward subs.

As a neutral, I felt like having Gomez and Trent defend on the same side vs Vinicius Jr was nothing short of suicidal. Not sure if Matip was fully fit but even Milner at right back would have been better for defensive coverage 😂 also, subbing Darwin off took away any offensive threat you guys had. Questionable from Klopp again..

Alisson made a mistake but it wasn't worse than their keepers. Vinicius Jr got lucky it deflected into the net, could have gone anywhere. Courtois took his eye off the ball to see Salah closing him down when he had plenty of time to put his laces through it and miscontrolled the ball presenting Salah a gift.

Just like the Newcastle game we looked lost on how to go on and manage the game at 2 nil up. The lack of composure and belief was frightening but is anyone honestly surprised?
There are no leaders in this team. Nobody to go and put in winning tackles and the lack of awareness and pace is absolutely shocking. Abysmal second half, but I honestly didnt even know what to expect from the beginning, we were completely outplayed. This defeat hurts a lot after that incredible start, I dont believe we can come back from a 3 goal deficit, this isnt the Liverpool of old. Main priority should be top 4 at this point. I've been saying for weeks we were going to get embarrassed by Madrid but I genuinely thought the Newcastle game showed us turning a corner. 2 up and taking the mick out of Madrid then one brilliant strike goes in and we just collapsed. It was absolutely horrendous and hurts so so much to see the mistakes and basic things we simply cannot do. We may as well not turn up next week because it wouldn't surprise me if it's 5 goals conceded again. If we don't get top 4 this season then, I feel next season is going to be even worse.

First half we played like we have in the last two Prem games. Signs of encouragement, Second half we played like we have the rest of the season. Conceded five shouldnt be surprised we have conceded three goals on a regular basis against lessor teams. Once we go behind in a game the whole team collapses
We weren't that great in our last 2 premier league games. Yes, we won both games 2-0 but made so many mistakes in the matches and 10-man Newcastle couldn't punish us because they were not as ruthless as Madrid

They showed that again in the first 20 mins against Madrid. Our midfield and defence is the concern. Of our nine midfield players who dont have one who is physical, energetic and good on the ball and cam play 90 mins on our regular bases. We have a Dads Army midfield, aging players and kids.

There is so much to say about this game. Firstly congrats to Real Madrid for providing football fans with a great match, as a UCL match should be. But not so great for Liverpool fans, tho our frustration should go to our players who played without motivation. But what can you expect from this team, who lost to Forest, Wolves, Brentford and the list goes on.. Some of these teams, which in any other previous seasons, we have beaten easily. I can only point out to Darwin Nunez who has made an impact, in my opinion. He scored a beautiful goal very early in the game and I believe it is his first game against Real Madrid. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up playing for them after his spell at Liverpool. On the other hand, Salah was lucky to finally get a goal against Real, after so many talks of 'revenge'. As for the other players, I have no words, all of our midfielders played bad, including Bajčetić. Tho, I wouldn't blame Bajčetić that much for losing possession many times because so did Fabihno and Henderson, and also because he has only got like 7 minutes of UCL football before this match.

That was a humbling experience. They showed us what we are, just not good enough. Tactically klopp didn’t do anything different to play against a team who he has always lost. Trent is not good enough when he can’t use his long pass and besides that he can’t defend and has no pace to fight against Vinny jr. The whole midfield and defense are to passive and naive. Bajcetic letting modric go without a foul, is the same like Henderson in the final last year

I genuinely don’t think we can beat RM. They are a real bogey team for us. Arguably they’re everyone’s bogey team, but given how many times we’ve played against them in recent years and we haven’t won. I know we have our big come back moments but I never feel as though we can against RM. Our players showed they have an inferiority complex against this current RM team. Add to that the mistakes from Gomez and we contributed largely to our own downfall. Klopps substitutions were terrible , Keita and Caravallo should have been given game time .
