Thank YOU. The best thing you can do is be honest and put yourself first. Let them know how you're feeling and if they respond in a bad/negative way then you know that they may not be your strongest confidant, you pick yourself up, and you move it right along. If you need someone to talk to, I'm here 💕
this is right on time...my cousin committed suicide Thursday. its hard to write bc never in a million years would i thought to be writing this about a close family member. depression is real people and we have to talk about it. in the African American community we sweep mental illness under the rug. we have to realize that its ok to say..i dont feel well..mentally or get help for that matter . as i sit here in tears, i know that we all have to understand that you really dont know what people are going through. my lesson in all of this...be an encourager of your words. leave people feeling good about themselves. build up and not tear people down with your words. because you never know what people are going through that one word may help someone.
I am so sorry for your loss. I commend you and have the upmost respect for your words and outlook. Though it's a hard reality to accept It's so important to find a lesson in every storm. We truly have to validate one another and be there for each other. Hang in there and keep on being a light for us who need it 💕
