The Dark Eldar are a fallen part of their, once great and dominant, kin.
They function as pirates in the universe of the 41st Millenium. Capturing slaves, goods, ships and whatever they could loot and use for their own purpose remains as a set of daily tasks for these invaders.
But it is truly the darkness of their souls, hidden beneath the flesh and bone, that speaks of their nature. Something that is better to remain untold.

There needs to be a Warhammer40k Survival Horror game!
Act 1 Your a psyker, survive the witchhunt
Act 2 Your a Civi, survive Ork invasion and get to the extraction point
Act 3 Your a gangster and your gang is dead, survive the Underhive
Act 4 your a Lone Space Marine on a ship, survive too many fucking genestealers
Act 5 your an Arbitrator, survive a plague zombie outbreak involving Nurgle Daemons
Act 6 your a captured guardsman, Survive the horrors of Commorah
Act 7 Your a Techpriest Survive a full scale Tyranid Invasion
Act 8 Your an Inquistor of the Ordo Malleus, Survive the Warp
If you die you can roll to see if you can have one more try, but die once more and It moves to the next act!
There are good endings and bad endings, try and get the good ones!

Act 2 - good one space marines rescue you/ig bad one - you die/enslaved by orcs worst one - chaos comes in aswell, your soul is consumed by warp
Act 3 - good one - you become inquisitors acolyte, bad one - you die from arbites pump action shotgun
Act 5 - good one - you survive by escaping the planet and watching exterminatus bad one - you become zombie of unbelief
Act 6 - good one - somehow you escape with rogue trader bad one - you die horrible, slow painful death
Act 7 - Skitarii/Titans come to rescue forge world, somehow tendril of the hive fleet is chopped off Bad - u die
Act 8 - You survive, returning to real space, probably saved by GK Bad one - you die, your soul is torn apart Worst one - u turn heretical, to chaos
I would prefer a bit more complex than that. Your goal may not be survival, just living long enough to complete a task or objective. Maybe there could be a way to survive each one. But the basis would be that your some mortal in Tzeentch's Maze who was to insure each character does what they are destined to do. If you fail Tzeentch will let you try again until you fully complete the game. Each time you restart however something can be a bit different... For instance the space marine you play could have been recruited by 2 different chapters in his lifetime. So each time you play hes either a Space Wolf or a Dark Angel.
As for the Inquisitor you could be a puritan the 1st time you play, but a radical the 2nd. It would not only change the dialogue, but also your characters overall goal or the actions he could take in each situation.

I think this is one of the first 40K videos I ever watched when I was way younger. As you can imagine, I've been a huge fan of the Eldar ever since, dark or otherwise.
This & Fire Warrior were my first exposure. So I've always been a xenos player lol.
This really captures the essence of the Dark Eldar. We are elves; we feel. We are chaos elves, we feel like torturing you for evil feels.
Dark Eldar are anti-chaos.
Torturers sure, and they suck souls, but not of the ruinous powers!
Isvoor I hear what you're saying, but i think "anti-chaos" might be a bit strong seeing as the Eldar basically birthed Slaanesh.
fungus brew They are not harlequins or grey-knights, I agree. But Dark Eldar go for drastic measures to avoid the Warp and to ward of daemons. That is enough to make them anti-chaos.
+fungus brew Slaanesh or "She who thirsts" devour all Eldar Souls when they die, the Craftworld Eldar use Soulstones to keep that from happening, but since the Slaanesh Is constantly draining the Eldar of there essence, the Dark Eldar must torture and drink the souls of there enemies in order to lengthen there on life! There actually pretty pissed off about having there souls feasted upon!
No, that would be Croneworld Eldar living in the Eye of Terror, which are confirmed to exist, but aren't really talked about. Gee Dubs seems to hate them enough to sack authors who write about them too much, so that might be why they aren't talked about much.
On the other hand, it wouldn't exactly be a stretch to convert some dark eldar models to have a more daemonic aesthetic, running them with either chaos daemons or dark eldar rules, and calling them "Croneworld Eldar"

NO. It's a perfectly healthy reaction that a TRUE Eldarith Ynneas player shows when they see the Dark Eldar in action.
Wow. The music was incredibly fitting, unlike a lot of other tributes. Tension was really high and the quotes aided that spectacularly. Hands down one of the best tributes I've had the pleasure of seeing. On that note, LOOK AT THOSE SPIKEY BITS!
That was incredible, first tribute that catches the feeling of the Dark Eldar. All tributes to them should look and sound like this. Every meeting with this race should be a nightmare, no matter if you're reading a book or playing against them on the table. Wonderful job !!!

I think the Dark Eldar are the perfect testament of how twisted mortal creatures can become. They are so depraved they can cause daemons to beg for mercy, but they are mortal creatures not matter how many souls they devour, and thats whats epic. In the face of such an evil immortal universe they show themselves as even more evil

Okay The dark eldar are my second fave race becuacse chaos/gaurds are on my 1ste spot..but this is just awesome..VeeTpl you did it again! oh *salutes the gaurd way and then gives you a chaos spawn as gift) :)

For a bunch of still images, that was probably one of the creepiest things I've ever watched! I freaked when the first image popped up, and when someone came into my room about halfway through I about jumped out of my skin! Very well done, as always!
My favorite race, my most favorite most terrifying death loving race, they only exist to kill and bring terror and live off suffering. Pain is their blood, suffering the music they make, terror their wine, and death their meat. Hellraiser is proud of his children heh heh heh heh.

Nice. I especially enjoyed the bit towards the end with the flashing images in time with the music, it allowed a bunch of pictures to seem fast paced and unpredictable, much like the Dark Eldar themselves.
Also, there's now a lovely dimple in the ceiling where I hit it at the start of the video.

Totally agreed, too. I feel like the Dark Eldar just don't fit within the frames of your typical arch-enemy, epic evilness. It's much deeper, touches the psychological sphere and that's what makes them so sinister and terrifying. Glad you enjoyed the video, too. I tried to convey that feel in it.

if he has a sense of fear, probably. but I don't think he would live long enough to feel it. but then again, predator and Dark eldar are like apples and oranges, it doesn't really stand to compare them. now if you asked if they could scare the shit out of the cenobytes from hellraiser, that would be a bit more... equal.

I just simply think that various 40K armies represent a different kind of awesome, so it's just silly to make videos about them with the same genre/style of soundtrack.
