Good interview first of all, Norman's the closest thing we have as to what the average maltese person thinks, feels and sees that can be resonated with. there is a strong conensus and agreement on the major issues that labor and nationalists sweep under the rug that he talks about openly plus he also has years of fame and is well known. I personally by time shifted my political compass and started to agree with the MAJORITY of his ideology as its just LOGICAL, but there are some pretty big ones imperium europa stances that are textbook psychopathic to consider them moral and humane to implement as policies... eugenics for one. There's too much to write but im seriously considering voting for him rather than abstaining. abstaining is still a choice akin to burying your head in the sand. Malta's a catastrophic mess already and its reached a point where its almost hopeless to try salvage and it breaks my heart, I'm 30 and Malta of 15 years ago is like you were living on another planet. the question is should we abandon ship and let it sink and decompose completely or plug the holes at least with duct tape? We'll see I guess
Eugenics was widely practised in various countries. Sweden was a case in point, tens of thousands of disabled people. Ask any parent how on edge they would be during the birth of their baby, until they see that everything is normal. Nowadays we go further than that, laboratory tests are done early in the pregnancy to check for any abnormalities and if positive, the pregnancy is sometimes terminated. Let us be frank, nobody looks forward to having a handicapped baby. But as Lowell himself said, "Dawn l-anġli li għandna rridu nieħdu ħsiebhom."
