Point of order! I'd rather listen to a minister who "reads" sensible contents from his notes, than to listen to people who are talking k@k from the top of their heads, clearly with the intention to disrupt speakers and processes, and waste their speaking time as part of delaying tactics. Small things amuse small minds. Time to rise to the occasion, to participate positively, and to set an example by demonstrating the necessary emotional maturity to deal with the situation at hand. People really need to ask if this is beneficial to them as South Africans.

The EFF conduct themselves as if they were bad children. No respect, loose morals and always making a noise in the name of disruption. Always destructive rather than constructive. Watching parliament over the years I have many times had to hang my head in shame to see how little respect there is for the house most often catalysed by someone in a red overall and although it clearly remains the EFF's prerogative to be smug, crack dumb jokes and generally show up with a negative attitude when they are supposed to represent their voters and South Africa as a whole, I'm glad to see the GNU treating them with the same respect they show to the house. None would object to listening to what ever the EFF has to say if done in a respectful manner, which is something the EFF does not grasp. Not only do they slow parliament down, the very point they have made is also now weakened by the manner in which they present it. The poor in this country need proper representation because the EFF is failing them.

The issue of language is serious. How can our people meaningfully engage when they don't understand the language? Even for us who are relatively proficient in the language it demands a lot to make sense of legal and political language. We really need our Afrikan politicians to push this language issue because we can't talk about democracy when the majority are excluded on the basis of language
