You shouldn't have taught me all your secrets 😂 Thank you for allowing me to interview you my dude! I hope your tips help many beatboxers improve their beatboxing!
Im very happy to see you going through such a challenge. I think its great motivation for beatboxers, especially casual ones like me. Loved the video and i hope to see you battling and making more music. Cheers from Poland
@@griffsmotorthings You guys are awesome! For now, there are two main reasons to why I don't want to compete at this moment (doesn't mean I wont ever in the future though). First, its always though when you go to a battle and have no idea how the videos will turn out, meaning that maybe the organizers don't do a good job with either the video or audio and then your material doesn't get represented the way you want. Second, there is a lot of time and stress that goes into preparing for a battle and right now, I want to focus that energy on making content! I hope that anwsers your question!
This is definitely an interesting concept, all the greats have had similar training patterns, Reeps one used to train a lot, Skiller said he had tons of routines for any situation.
Super cool video! I have a tip for you with the spit snare as well, I think your bottom lip is too low. If you raise your bottom lip higher relative to your top lip you’ll probably get a cleaner snare sound that’s closer to colaps’ spit snare. I’m excited to see your improvement and coming back to the scene!
Hell of a video man. Arguably more impressed with the video, structure, scenes and thought put into the development of this video. Great concept and end result in both regards. Well done man~
This is my favorite content you’ve ever released. The editing was insane and very enjoyable. What a great concept. Hope to see you making wildcards again soon!
17:35 as a big Den fan and after hours and HOURS of playing around with sounds i concluded and can confirm: i have no fking clue man what in the polyphonic bass this is
As a new aspiring beatboxer for a little under a year, this was insanely helpful. Thank you so much for the Greta content. This will definitely help in structuring my time to work on the basics and new sounds and free-styling.❤
This is an AKG D7 (mic) and some random PA I bought years ago. The speaker isn't anything crazy and I need to replace it soon with something more compact!
Even though you dont really compete anymore ive always had you as an inspiration and one of my favorite beatboxers. Your unique style with all the tongue bass variations is so cool to me. It may have even lead me to create an original sound (still not sure if it is but ill say it is). I am also gonna take tips from this video to get better. I dont plan on doing anything big but i would like to just be good. Thanks for what you do!
What a banger of a video! You showed to the max what you can achieve with dedication, Consistency, and just overall having fun! an absolute awesome video as always Tyla
i loved this video, it was very original and intresting, i was super motivated to practice after watching it, i think it was very educative in how to learn how to beatbox, nice job bro!
This isn't necessarily "custom" but it is a Ducky One 2 with a blue and black keycap set and a few artisan keycaps on it! I want to build a custom one soon though!
Routine development is a hard video to make since it is like trying to describe how to make music and there really isn't a single answer to that. I can look into the idea though!
Wow, I'm only halfway through the video but I can already say that I really enjoy how authentic the video feels. It's nice to see how you also include some failures and even show that you did nothing on day 5, instead of faking it to have the full 30 days connected. Really great and inspiring video and also big ups to Colaps for helping out with the video 🔥
Thank you😄It was difficult to hit every element on the daily routine every day while working and other basic life things (cooking/cleaning/etc). But I still feel like I hit around 90ish% which was pretty good! Big up to Colaps is right!
This was a cool video, thanks for doing it. It might be interesting to see more about different beatboxers' practice routines. I'm not sure you need to do another challenge like this (though you could, perhaps with a shorter duration), but even if you could interview a bunch of people, you might be able to make a video comparing what people do: point out the things everyone does and the things that are unique to individuals. Just a thought, FWIW.
Good thoughts! I thought about shorter durations but I really wanted to give it time to see improvements (which is why I landed on a month). I have had an idea like you are talking about and I think it would be a beneficial thing to do!
@@TylaDubya I'm also curious how Colaps Perfected his BASICS, Like I know hella LOT OF PRACTICE, but he's THE BEST AT BASICS. Also Curious how River' or Dlow Practiced like this video. It's still a cool video.
