Stephen King wrote The Stand about a deadly virus that was created and then allowed to escape from a lab somewhere and the whole earth was infected. He called the virus Captain Trips. In his book people would be driving down the street and just drop dead at the wheel. It was almost impossible for the few survivors to go anywhere because the highways were blocked by cars full of dead people. Spooky! BTW, The Stand was written in 1978. The shots of all these cities sitting empty just reminded me of that book.

I’m watching this video a year after and I’m wondering if it’s only me that misses those days. I’m not sure if I’m broken inside but I miss that scary feeling we all had when covid changed our life. I miss the people that was trying to connect to other in so many different ways because they were not able to do it physically.
I miss the feeling of change, but now we came back to what we used to be before covid.
I miss the change, I miss the emotions and I miss how people try to love others.

Except I am very conscious about things that I never have been b4, like how everyone is talking around u as u eat and the waiter/waitress speaking over ur food etc... without a mask and blowing candles on a birthday cake.

I feel this everyday that I took life for granted; I didn’t travel as I were intend to. I didn’t try new places to eat out, I didn’t go outside but instead of staying in the house playing video games all day

I miss this days, only cause they were so quiet...
Man, I was 2yrs into my first job out of college commuting to 52nd, blocks away from Times Sq. Our offices closed around late March and seeing the city get emptier and emptier was pretty haunting. Only a few people were taking pabt out to Jersey (compared to an impossibly packed bus beforehand). I had to go back to get my things by mid June and I (in only 26yrs of life lol) was shocked at how BARREN Times Square was on a sunny Saturday in spring!

I experienced this first hand back in february when I went to seoul for a wedding. Seoul is usually jam packed with people going to work in the morning, but the streets were almost bare and we saw less than 30 people during a half hour walk.
It's beautiful video even better than Oscar awarded movies.

this was truly when the earth stood still and quiet, just like in a doomsday horror film.
These images remind me how horribly crowded cities have become. London, Paris, Rome are nightmares during the tourist seasons. I’ve always needed a vacation after returning from vacation, and I’ve learned that overseas locals who can, leave the inner city during the summer.
If anything it's a lesson that half the things we do and acquire are not important.

funny how us humans used to cause pollution and fight, start wars and stuff, and now....a small thing that can't be seen by a human eye, is now destroying all of us. This is a lesson to all of us to appreciate everything and everyone, and to reunite. I hope after this outbreak ends, we all learn this lesson and start a new chapter in our lives🙏🙂

@@bewear3445 There are more people on earth who don't believe in Jesus, the Bible and the Christian god than there are who do. They can't all be the dumbest at once, it's a grammatical impossibility for one and secondly there are plenty of intelligent people who either don't believe or believe in other gods.

Its from 28 weeks later.. ironically enough that is a pandemic movie about a deadly virus called RAGE that wipes out humamity. They are ABSOLUTLEY NOT ZOMBIES.. zombies are REANIMATED dead people which goes against the laws of nature.. in the movie these are INFECTED LIVING PEOPLE that seem to have sonething like the agressive form of rabies.. thats what makes the movie so chilling because it theiretically could happen.. they are Not ZOMBIES.
