We have a completely new style now with a different manager and this manager wants young players to run like motorbikes with maximum intensity on the pitch (thank god for that) so we have to support him in this transition

Gundogan’s experience is essential this season. He and Ter Stegen are German just like Flick which is key to bridge the gap between the dressing room and the new coach. Plus he can play as a 10 as we saw for Germany as well as an 8. We can’t get rid of that quality

Signing Mikel makes more sense than Olmo. for this season. We have enough attacking midfielders and lacking defensive midfielders. Mikel versatility will help the team much more. Next season, maybe Olmo would make sense when we sell some players

Gundogan is a good player. His experience and knowledge is an asset to any team. If we are honest with ourselves though, he hasn't really added anything special on the pitch. He hasn't transformed the midfield per say. He does most things "alright" but that's about it. If Barcelona can have Gavi, Pedri and FDJ fit all season, which is a tough ask, that midfield would be more impactful. I wouldn't go out of my way to sell Gundogan but if he is open to leaving and it would help bring in Nico + another good player, I'm all for it.

Too much risk , all injury prone players. Gavi back from an ACL will take time to recoup , don't even know he can return ti the previous level. Pedri is having serial injuries and Fdj is crushed .
Remember Gundagon was more than useful for Barça . Barça midfield was shambles due to injury crisis. Then Gundogon along with Fermin and Roberto came to the rescue. The season in the latter half was going fine for Barça untill Araujo decided to do a crazy ass foul. Gundogon was the piller or Barça would have crumbled due to lack of good ball players.
I think we need 3 positions to make us challengers in UCL. A LW(preferably Nico Williams), a CDM(preferably similar profile to Rodri) and a attacking RB(definitely not Cancelo)
Gundogan is s good player but he always slow down Barcelona's attacks and and rarely make risk passes.
We need someone brave like Pedri to make passes in tight angles.
Agreed Nico & Merino would be good. Dani Olmo would be a fantastic player to have, but Joao Felix has similar production stats and profile at a much more affordable cost. All in all, we need to find reinforcements for that 10 position behind the striker. Pedri is very injury prone. Maybe Ansu Fati can slot in there as well?
Felix is a hot and cold player, while Olmo's play at the Euro was elite level. After Nico, if there are funds left, I would go for Olmo. Maybe sell Gundogan and Raphina if possible.
@@blueodum Completely agree. Felix can go missing at times. If money were no issue Olmo 100%, but if you look at production per min Felix has similar numbers to Olmo. I would also be interested to see how Felix does in that 10 role behind the striker. We have never really seem him there. He is also younger too.
Can we talk about Zubimendi? He was thrown into Euro Final w minimal minutes throughout the tournament and he played exceptionally!

Gundo was our best midfielder last season.. and is still a very good player. Even if he doesnt start, you always need players like this to slow the game down, especially if you're trying to hold on to a lead at the end of the game.. kinda like what Seydou Keita did for us. Valuable team player but rarely a starter

I can't see Barca pulling of both Nico and Dani Olmo transfers. I would go for Nico Williams and Xavi Simmons on loan it's relly low risk deal for a quality player. Also Barca still doesn't have worldclass pivot and they need to focus on that too.

I am so disappointed that I will not get to see Pedri, Gavi, Yamal, Ferran and Fermin on the US tour. I certainly understand, but still disappointed. I am scheduled to see Barca in Baltimore. I wonder if that will hurt ticket sales? I am glad the guys are getting some much needed rest. The football season is way too long for these players, of all teams, and it is not helping our sport! I am glad Yamal is wearing #19. He doesn't need to have more pressure or expectation on him.

2. Right Back - Still haven't found a quality right back since Dani Alves left the club, lets finally figure out that position.
3. Pivot Midfielder - Depending on Flick's formation we could make good use of the midfielders we already have and save some money OR if we don't want to delay a pivot midfielder as we have with the right back position then Merino could be a low cost good signing and be able to use our other midfielders from both senior squat and Barca B to fill in his position if he were to be injured.
4. Left Back - Either a low cost but good option to compete with Balde and maybe see what we have available from Barca B. Lets utilize and find some hidden gem from La Masia! It's worked for us before and lets get back to the roots of this club!
Our best signing this summer will be Gavi 😉
Because of Barcelona financial limitations and having to get nico Williams it would make sense to propose to man city a swap deal for cancelo to send gundogan back to city pep no doubt misses him
