We can tnter configuration level on the switch. Set the spanning tree protocol type. Turns RSTP on globally for the switch. But not at once.

RSTP works by adding an alternative port and a backup port compared to STP. Simply we create backup connection for network. Now did you get any idea what rstp function for? Or i can make it more clear. I love to help you.
