    Think again, statement 2 says that X is required for absorbing Y. Does it mean if he has X in his diet, Y will be absorbed? No. X is necessary, it may not be sufficient. What if you require mineral A also to absorb Y? Hence statement 2 is not sufficient.
    Yes, if it were “only X is required” then that would be sufficient.

    Thanks for sharing this video.
    The first time I saw that kind of DS I was a bit afraid.
    I just have to practice more.. any ressources for those kind of DS questions?
    Please I fail to understand the second condition
    I thought answer was D because
    From the argument,
    Statement 2 said X is required for the absorption of Y in the body
    As he has X in his diet it will sufficient to absorb the Y contained also in his diet.
    If the statement was
    X and Z are required for absorption of Y … insufficient
    X or Z are required for absorption of Y … sufficient
    Only X is required … sufficient
    Not only X is required …….hence insufficient
    Please could you explain again
