Disneyland’s castle will always be the original and the only one that Walt Disney ever saw no matter how many tiny castle jokes people make. So there! :p It’s ok to admit Disneyland is better in certain (most) ways. I hang out with a circle of friends which consists of a lot of Imagineers. They all agree that the original is the sweetheart of all the parks and their favorite. They consider WDW the Costco of Disney parks. In that everyone loves a Costco trip and it’s meant to appeal to a wider audience. Whereas, Disneyland is the historic and charming mom and pop shop that started it all. My friends admit that the money they invest in Disneyland per square foot is significantly higher than other parks. But I get it. People will always stay loyal to the park they grew up with.
The Costco of Disney parks!! I love that 😊 I'm moving to work at WDW soon for the Disney college program but grew up going to Disneyland so I am happy to hear that comparison!!! 😁 I'm sure I will love both for different reasons.

When the fireworks show has a flying character, we usually like to watch the fireworks from the tables between Dumbo and Casey Jr. If it's Mickey's Mix Magic, I like to watch from Small World. Everyone sits on the ground in that area and the facade is covered in projections

I feel the same frustration about the Wanda merch. Just got back from WDW and there was absolutely nothing! Besides the Mickey ears. I was so disappointed.
The "20" at Haunted Mansion is because it was the 20th year of Haunted Mansion Holiday. I was a passholder at Disneyland for many years and I've been to the parks many times, but I've only seen the cats twice.
