Thankful I'm not the only person that appreciates these for their shooting ability, rather than just their conversation piece value. Haven't seen an example of your German Folder in nearly that shape before. Most are ragged or robbed of parts by the time I see them. The Varo Schneider is a really good lens. Its nearly the same as the Early Kodak Retina folders made about the same time. Thank you.
I love folding cameras. There is so much variety in the shape and how they fold. The main thing to check is the bellows.Especially on the cheaper ones.If you're patient, you can make new bellows, but getting new ones made can be expensive.
+Shawnee Union I haven't had to make any yet.pheugo.com/cameras/index.php?page=folders is one site that has instructions for making new bellows. It doesn't look too hard, but it seems kind of tedious. If there are only a few leaks they can sometimes be repaired with various materials.
I have a ferrania falco 2 6x9 folder all kinds of stylish the first shoot went far better than expected looking forward to the next shoot. Cheers as always Shawnee 📷❤️
One problem with this particular camera (maybe just mine) is that you can totally set the shutter to f32, but good luck moving the sliding pin back from there, without like a needle or a screw or something to poke it from the other end.
Hi bro thanks for upload this presious vintage camera video also can how i can buy roll 120 film for this camera can u share online link please thanks again
If it uses 120 film you should not rewind it but forward it until it is off the feeder original spool the there is a tab on the film backing which says exposed film then that used to go round the paper back and self adhere to keep it from unraveling. just got a 120 folding camera I did know if to rewind like 35mm so I saw several vids on youtube they all said forward film once used except yours.
The low performance quality of both lens and shutter on this particular camera make it a less suitable example of a path into medium format photography. However this particular example still has its often lost format mask, making it something of a cheap collectible. Cheap pre-WWII folders often have alignment problems which cannot be economically repaired. Generally speaking, "medium format folder", "user", and "inexpensive/cheap" are mutually inconsistent concepts.

+M Poole They really are interesting cameras, and you're right always check the bellows. What fabric do you use?

This one 0:06 is just great, briliant finder and flash sync!

The price may be inexpensive but you could hardly call the quality cheap.
I've just purchased a Zeis Ikon Nettar II folding camera just for some fun. Also if nothing else they make fantastic shelf pieces when not in use :)
They do look great on a shelf 👌
Thanks so much for the folding camera! I'm excited to try it out!
+Alan Brock Thanks Alan, keep up the great work!
Just for your info, there a little metal pin when you’re placing it vertically so it holds up and not lay down, hope it helps !
Thanks for the camera, I'll be putting a roll through it soon and I'll be sure to share the images with you.
+Chris Pugh Photo Thanks Chris, have fun with it!
You forgot to tell um to make sure it takes 120 not 620 film which is hard to find and about US$13 a roll.
I have a Moskva 4 coming with a rangefinder that shoots 6x6 and 6x9cm 120 film. £50.

Thank you for the video! I've just got one Ibsor DRP and I'm curious where to find the film.
Should be able to find 120 film pretty easily. I like Ilford HP5 when starting out.

120 is a bit uncommon but it’s widely available on Amazon. 120 Lomography film at 800 speed is a safe place to start.

I have a Kodak retina 1a, 35mm folder with Schneider lens , f3.5 to f16 aperture range, 1 sec to 1/500 shutter range
I have the exact same camera. What black and white film should I use?
HP5, it’s my favorite.
Hey, can i ask how did you open the back? I got my old grand’s cam yesterday and i have no idea how to open the back, it is very similar to this one
Hey! I have one of those too! Never actually seen another one anywhere :-)
Does it have a rangefinder. Sorry for ponctuation.
Not usually, there are a few but mostly no.
I found Agfa Billy 1 for $50, and most likely will buy it, but kinda afraid of wrong focusing and other issues, such as haze, mold etc
No guarantees with these cameras, alot can go wrong. Good luck!
meow :3
I have a camera that looks similar to that one but I can't figure out how to fold it back up...any tips?
There’s usually a secret switch somewhere it can be very confusing
You just press on both hinges at once with your thumbs
How to use instax film in polaroid? Do you have a solution?
If I had a solution to that I wouldn't be making videos but counting money all day.
What's the best cheap folding 35mm film camera?
None that I can think of. You can adapt these cameras to shoot on 35mm and produce some interesting panoramic type photos.

I still get it opened . Where it will roll out
why you don't show some pictures?
Folding cameras do not have a way to focus? based on comment at 0:40
looks like my Kodak Bantam.
Cheap folding cameras will always have light leaks in the bellows. Always
what kind of film ?
