The circles are touching one another. I did use shape builder, however, for some reason I cannot select the large pieces of the big circle apart from one another. It selects the left and the right piece simultaneously. :(
@@julial4569 Figured it out! You have to make sure that you selected "Align Stroke to Center" in the stroke options. Those line inside the circles are supposed to touch each other simultaneously (I Used Ctrl or Command + Y to view the lines) :)
Maybe I need a remedial course on this but my squares overlap and when I go to duplicate the outline layer, duplicate that to make a highlight, my outline disappears altogether

Hello, I'm trying to do this to improve my "skills", but I'm stuck on the shape builder. When I subtract or add a line to on the circles to get the correct shape, I got only a big empty circle with the small locked ones. Helppp :D
@ 5:41 the inner circle was moved to the 'colour' layer, but you didn't indicate why or how so. It confused me, so anyone watching, make sure you move it to that layer. I got unexpected results when I left it in the outline layer and performed "outline stroke"

IF you get the two medium circles dissaperar while using the shape tool, ZOOM IN and make SURE that the two circles are TOUCHING eachoter!

when i move the second circle with the transform function and manualy type in that i want it to move for 300 px it works

Question, when I did the copy and place in place of the big circle. It covered the original circles and I don't know why
