- In today’s episode, Jack sits down with one of the founding members of @YesTheory Ammar Kandil. In 2015, Ammar met friends Thomas Brag and Matt Dahlia to start the experiment that would later become a worldwide phenomenon. The power of Yes has taken the group of friends all over the world, and created a community that revolves around the slogan “Seek Discomfort.” It’s even allowed Ammar to direct their first feature documentary, Project Iceman.

It's so ironic how Jack posits AI as opposite to art. It's unfortunately true because most of what we call AI today is just "received wisdom", is just an amalgamation of what is already out there. But that's not what *artifical intelligence* was supposed to be. AI was supposed to be: if we can make a computer form synaptic connections like the human brain does, then what will the computer learn? That actually could be truth counter to the received wisdom, that could be art. But now AI is just smashing together everything on the internet together and hoping art shows up by accident.
