A tip to 100% avoid killer knives execution is to use blaster ride, or the easier method is to use uppercut to jump over them when their using it, but you have to time it right. I did it alot before.
just wanna add a few things incase anyone still looks at these comments: blaster ride ignition is real good if you need stamina regen its worth the half your bar ts is kinda garbage but its decent if you're in a sticky situation and you need to move away since you can always end it early to save ignition counter headdog and real knife dash whwnever you see them they are so free use ignition even when its not full because your ignition moves are just as good for filling it as non-ones (just try not to go over your ignition meter or itll go on cooldown for a while) also comboing giantslap with fire grapple is literally free unavoidable damage that is all my input goodbye gang

I've been playing a decent amout of hardtale and fighting him also, so if I am right ghost weapon doesn't effect two weapons, snow ring and tough glove. Also some weapons may still be able to use there ability like sad sans bone weapon can still use bone throw even if they got ghosted.
fun fact: Killer Knife's Execution can not land when you're on the big blaster at all, meaning even in the chance a killer knife gets their execution, they basically did it for nothing.
more notes about hardtale should be noted 1, he seems to only start taking damage once below 100 stamina 2, ignition Giant Crush's beams seem to fill ignition to 100% from a single hit 3, There is little enough i-frames from getting countered that fits uppercut and (maybe) fire grapple 4, Ignition counter does not squash them, meaning their hitbox is still the same and the (banana peel effect) green bones are scattered everywhere 5, FireGrapple can hit a player 2 ways, Option A: If a player collides with you during windup Option B: if you dash into a player 6, i think counter was buffed to work on dash attacks now, i'm still testing this rn

I literally got destroyed by spy sans and killer knife girl and trident kid when i had the upgrade 2 bro killer knife users are smart spy sans users too they are just pretending to hit you and after u use hard count the all users start immediedly rushing to you
If you are fighting a killer knife as hardtale then its pretty much over,goop slash spam is the nightmare,don't forget about the bug tooo Also spy knife is easy to counter,once they do cloak pretend you are gonna get hit,or maybe use an aoe attack around you when ur sure For trident,uhh.. idk much.. The fire area spam is pain but their m1 is slow.

here again for some tips on how to use this character! dont depend on your counter, its quite useless and just makes you not able to attack if you miss, yet do use it every once in a while as it shrinks and makes players slower! the blaster ride can be used to recover stamina in some way, exploding it right away does also work mostly tho- the firegrapple is quite hard to land, but really useful like the uppercut in terms of getting people away from you, or moving away bone hand moves are very good! dont underestimate them! the best one out there is the SLAP as it makes you teleport behind somebody, useful for escaping the timestop? only accessable when you get to the "serious" upgrade same with the ignition meter, some moves change a bit aswell! -tips- the weapon ghost can be useful to reduce damage taken when you can take damage. blaster ride's bite explodes if you hit somebody whilst its hp being low the hardcounter can punish extremely! firegrapple can be used to get yourself out of some situations, as you kinda get flung in the same direction as the guy you toss. MAKE SURE TO USE YOUR TIMESTOP CAREFULLY, IT WILL BE GONE FOR A LOOOONGGG TIME -against him- have a great team and figure out his playstyle, its quite easy from then on there.
my only tip for you is to play aggressive Horror gets stamina back with every hit done to charas and regens alot from killing them You also get Your Rage Bar quicker which is basically one secured kill

Hol up bro lemme explain,rn he's both offensive and defensive character,and you need to use both of the playstyles to be efficient,what do i mean by this? You can use some moves to go away from Chara until your combo recharges,i suggest you using counter as combo starter cuz it stuns charas,but it rly depends on you cuz there are more ways to start combo,use giant crash ONLY with ignition,cuz only in that case it's good,try to not move at all while you can to regen stamina, weapon ghost may help with that if the player really relies on their weapon,the only ones you should be afraid of are supports,and ESPECIALLY snow ring,if you can - target them first and use other players only to regen stamina by using counter
Also blaster ride's (i call it giga-blaster) BLAST got buffed and explosion nerfed,tho if you damage charas with it now,you actually can make it to stay longer and have more time to regen stamina! The info in vid rn is sadly not so usable rn so im tryna to help
Don't forget about time punch by the way! It's hella good for either escaping OR which is more interesting, LITERALLY USING OTHER PLAYERS AGAINST THEIR OWN TEAMMATES LOL

I think , you should make fell next since hecosts few wins more than classic
tip if you have ignition up when you start the game you have a tiny little amount of igniton so use it on uppercut giant punch or firegrapple
5:40 You did a fatal mistake, never use explode early. It always deals the same dmg as when your blaster dies. I’m pretty sure, atleast.

i started playing as Hardtale, and gosh it's so freaking good.... (now that i got 3dbb, i'm leveling him up too)
You can use timestop to hold a killer knife user still until their stability runs out. Not the best way but definitely the funniest

You can cancel your timestop early I’m pretty sure. So you can use bone cut then cancel it for knockback. Or blaster bomb
