Hi!! Do you have an IG or something where I can send you some questions I have about the exam? I just walked as well and hope to take the exam sooner than later.
I passed my LMSW exam today on the first try and had to come back here and say thank you so much! This video and all of your links were so extremely helpful, it was the gift that kept on giving! God bless you and thank you for sharing. 😊🎉
I am so glad I found your video! I graduated with a MSW in Community Organization back in 2018 and I had been TERRIFIED to take the test because I feared it would be more clinical.
Thank you so much for this information! I incorporated your playlist into my studying for the last 2 months and passed my exam the 1st time! This was so helpful 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I’ll be taking my exam hopefully in about 4 to 5 months, and I’m feeling exactly how you were feeling. I hate studying and reading for long periods of time, but I know I need to start now to prepare myself. I’m gonna use the materials you’ve created. Thanks so much. I’m crying on the inside 😂😭. It seems like so much to study. Idek where to start.
It’s a hell of a lot to study! I suggest taking a practice test to see where your weak areas are, or use pocket prep to see where your weak areas are and start there! You got this 💪🏾
Who’s Maslow 😂 you are so adorable! The first thing I said when I studied for my test was “I didn’t learn any of this!” So I feel you!! Pocket prep has been helping me a ton though! My exam is coming up !
WOW, how great you passed after five years.😊😊. I graduated in 2022 but still haven't taken the time to take the exam. Am building up the nerves to take the exam within the next two months. Thank You for your assistance and the commentators for their questions.🎉
Found your page this morning and I’m so happy I did. I also graduated in 2016 and am finally studying for my exam. Your playlist is helpful af. Thanks!!
good day, I just graduated in May with my Masters and prior to that, 2018 with my BSW. Your video is so relatable to my situation/life, thank you for your candor and advice. I am just beginning to get myself prepared, ie. reading the Dawn Apgar exam guide, and making my flash cards. Thank you again for your video, Tina
My test is 8am tomorrow. I did the Dwan Apgar book and practice test and class. I wish had done quizlet instead of physical flashcards. I didn't even think to watch youtube videos reviewing information until today.
Congratulations! So interested in your journey. I get my BSW next fall but I plan on going to grad school the following year. I've done so much research! If you need any video ideas, I have a ton of questions lol! Good video 💕
@@DeeHaynes0000 Thank you so much! I’m so excited for my journey! I’m excited for your journey too☺️ I also have a social work UA-cam channel 😊 It has a lot of valuable social work content. You should check it out when you get a chance😊
@@theprototype_ Hello, I hope all is well! Okay so I'm fairly new to your channel but here are a few questions I have. 1) How did you go about finding your niche in social work? It's such a broad field, so much you can do. 2) Was it hard choosing a grad school to attend? What are things you should look for? 3) Did you go to school full time and work full time? Lol those are a few and again forgive me if they may have been answered in previous videos! I'll have to rewatch. Thank you!!
5 years post MSW failed my exam 2 years ago by 1 point feel so defeated. Test is 11/30 and feel doomed and don’t know where to began. I do psychotherapy now for work and the job is riding on it
I have the same book and failed twice. I currently work in outpatient treatment. I did the practice exam and even the ASWB practice test. None of the stuff i studies was on that exam. I sued quizlet too
Consider paying for a service to help you study or hiring a coach. Sometimes we need that extra help. It’s also about knowing how to answer the questions. No matter how much content you know, if you don’t understand what the question is asking you can get it wrong
Im from Washington state also and preparing to do the test to move to NYC. Lol I’m lowkey bummed that WA state doesn’t make us take the test while everything is still fresh
What was the difference in the dawn Apgar book to the aswb practice test you took? I cannot afford the aswb but I did exceptionally well on the Apgar one so I'm wondering I have my exam tomorrow April 26th lol
Hi, I heard in the video that you said you started doing traveling social work. Did you need your license to travel as a social worker? Also, I'm currently trying to start traveling as a social school based social worker. Were you in a hospital or school and any tips in that area? Thanks!
i have done Masters in Social Science and my major was Social Work in my homeland Bangladesh, but now i live in USA , with my husband , can i work as a Social worker here in USA with my Bangladesh masters certificate? do i need to pass LMSW? plzz reply
Hi, I am just curious what was the difference in scores from your practice test to the real one? I know you mentioned you got a 120 on your practice one. I am asking because I have been taking tons of practice exams and not sure what to expect.
Question, do you travel state to state as a license social worker and if so what was the process for you. I am scheduled to take my LMSW in January and l want to be a traveling social worker.
Travel social work is the same as travel nursing. You get contracts in different hospitals across the country, so yes it is like traveling state to state. hope that helps!
It is up to you! You gotta feel comfortable with where you are with understanding how to take the test and understanding the content you may be tested on
I’m scheduled to start an MSW program in three weeks and I’m super anxious/nervous. Im not even sure if I want to do it because I’ll have to work part time make it happen. I really appreciate your videos. I’m 39 and don’t know if I want to put in the time for this degree. Do you recommend I get the MSW? Thanks love
Luz, I am 51. I start my MSW in 6 months. I believe you can do it. Finishing BSW in 4 months. It is definitely worth it in the long run. Don't lose hope.
I think you need to factor your career goals into your decision. Only you will know if it is worth it to get another degree. I will say, MSW is very versatile and the career options are endless. Good luck!
Thank you so much! Out of all the videos like this on UA-cam, yours helped me the most! I passed my LMSW exam yesterday!
I love to hear it! I’m glad I could help. Congratulations ❤️
