Mod developer here, (not of this mod obviously) but there is a good reason why the security doors HP do not scale with the used resources proportionally. The reason is that in the end of the day, a door with 1000 HP will still last longer than a door with 800 HP. You only need to break through one door to enter most bases so even if you used regulars, you'd only need to break through one door's 800 HP to get into the base to raid compared to 1000 HP with the bigger door. (that is assuming you don't stack them behind each other ofc lmfao) An interesting quirk of rimworld is also that a single door can have 3 melees hitting it, but a two tile door only has 4 melees hitting it and a 3 tile wide door only has 5 melees hitting it. Strangely enough ... the bigger the door, the less pawns can actually hit it with melee bashes. Meaning theoretically bigger doors resist forceful melee entry better.
It's being patched in the next update so it scales in line with the resources, melee math works that way but grenades go boom regardless of how many can attack at once. So it's just as viable as standard security doors for breach raiding now.
I knew this mod was hella cool lol but I was playing pure vanilla runs, I'll add it to my list, CE just updated today and said this mod is compatible so I'll try both I do so love greenhouses and wall strength tho, plays well with CE styles of colony defense. Thanks again for all the clarifications, I no longer need to avoid this or wonder if it's too OP
They did add the slow down on grate floors. I'd rather have seen it as an option, tho. Having worked in several factories over the years, I've on grated floors that don't pose any necessity for cautious walking. Having the option to slow down movement or not would allow for this difference.
@skyesfury8511 An option was added for it too, it's in the mod settings page. As for the slowdown being added, that's entirely because I suggested it :P

Odd that fireplaces dont let you cook or destroy items people definitely cook at the fireplace. Maybe a fireplace varant that needs some metal for utensils that allow you to cook there
Please Tynan just add normal windows to the game you can even lock it behind DLC. I've been using this extensively and I gotta say Helixien knocked it out of the park.
I'd like a Rimworld 2. It's been long enough for that to happen, and there's so many engine-related things I'd want to see improved. Like better resource usage, making use of all those extra CPU-Cores and RAM I have that just go to waste while the game chucks along. Or Z-layers, those would be mind blowing.

SoS2 is a long way off dude, I've got so much testing of my own to do before I even start scripting it, then it'll probably be one of the biggest videos on the entire channel.
@@helixien4580 I can't get you the full list of troubles I had using the mods, cuz when somethings doesn't works, I just disable or unsub then find alternatives without looking further into it. And lots of saves, lots of mods, can't remember them all. I tried to redownload the mods I use the most, and the current ones that having incompatibility issues are: CE Gloomy Furniture Vehicles expanded Faction Expanded: Ancients Also Idk if this is a bug from your mods or other mods but sometimes pawn just freeze in front of a door when I have clean path finding and personal doors on with yours One mod I found compatible that was not on the list of the mod page is LTS-Buildings, very good decor mod. And if you don't mind with some user input, I do find the the difference between the perspective of horizontal and vertical door a bit jarring and takes me out of the experience, it just doesn't looks uniform. Maybe makes or orientations of the door thin like that would look great but I use arches over doors now so I wouldn't know either way.
@@helixien4580 It honestly looks quite solid. The arts work perfectly with Rim World base game. I am just wondering if it has things like embrasures and I am a bit worried if it affects the performance?

FYI, perspective doors option is NOT compatible with Dubs Bad Hygiene's stall doors. It gets funky and grows a third door.
