The way his figures fit right into a classic Kenner display and the quality with which they're built is perfect. I'm with you. I'll be on this toy train until it stops running. Chris won't put out anything that doesn't meet his standards and, as far as I'm concerned, he hasn't disappointed. Very fun review. The quality is better than any of the Hasbro Retro Collection figures and the Stan Solo figures are easier to find and obtain. When you factor in driving around to every Target & Walmart to search or paying reseller pricing, the Stan Solo costs are really not that high.

Recreating some classic SW scenes is one of the reasons I wanted to collect SW figures and vehicles. I am glad some have the capabilities to make the figures we want to buy.
Stan solo’s custom droids ( and other custom figures) are A) fantastic quality and B) in no way expensive for what they are especially when you look at some the stuff being churned out by the big boys , I already have the majority of the droids, Luke and Han stormies, yak, snag and EV and Amanaman on pre order and will definitely be going for the gunner and any future customs they produce be they existing character figures , more background characters or more comic book / EU characters. Long May Stan Solo Reign .

I love the figures that Stan Solo is making. For me the price is of little issue, I buy these for my kids to enjoy, if that means I buy them less then so be it. At least they are getting the best quality out there and they are gaining the same love for these toys we got growing up.
$50 for carded Stan Solo figure is not a bad price. Compared to Getting an actual OG GI Joe figure on a reproduction card back can cost you $100 to $150. As I’m sure OG Star Wars figures on reproduction card backs are just as expensive.
I purchased two Hoth astromech droids and they are really well done. Toy Polloi has also done a review and these figures are absolutely wonderful. I think the price point is fine, but with shipping from the UK, it brings the cost of one figure over $60. I did not put any on my Christmas list simply for that reason - and I would have loved to have added a few.
I love Stan Solo's stuff. I have his Blue Snaggletooth. I'd totally buy more of his stuff if I wasn't poor as hell. Granted I can't afford much of anything these days.

Even though I'm not a Star Wars collector, these Stan Solo action figures have certainly grabbed my attention, mainly due to their excellent quality, but also because of the incredible reviews by RetroBlasting, Analog Toys and Toy Polloi. The only question is, can I afford to jump on the Star Wars franchise? 😁
Depends on what you're trying to do with it. If you're just collecting a few characters, you should be okay, especially if you're comfortable with repro figures as well as vintage. But if you're going for the whole set, maybe skip this line. It can get expensive, especially when it comes to the last 17 figures made.

Doctor Aphra was introduced in the Darth Vader series Marvel put out around 2015. As someone already said, she's best described as "Han + Indy - moral compass". As far as I can tell, Disney is treating all comics and novels produced past 2015 as canon. I'd love to see her in Mando, and that first Darth series was really well done. Wish I had the cheddar for these figures, but it's not in the cards right now. Great video!

Kenner really missed out on sales not making more droids. They did R5D4 why didn't they give us more background droids? They gave us so many creature background characters but my favorite figures were the droids.
Kenner toys still work great with the Black Series if you don't have many of the originals. I would definitely get a number of the droids alone. These just look great.
I would love for you to do a video on retro Cantina Aliens! My favorite figures since i was a kid (and i still have them at 22) are Bib Fortuna, Momaw Nadon, and Labria (the devil in the cantina, my #1 favorite) all POTF. I grew up on Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina and RotJ on DVD. If you think Bespin Luke was a pain to wait on, there are 2 Labria figures and they're the same one, but one's outfit is black and the other is gray. There's a lego Labria from the recent Mos Eisley release, but he's $60!!! If Stan Solo made a Labria i think id die of a heart attack. Fingers crossed! I just finshed your bespin luke video and wanted to share my own favorite story!
This gives me hope that eventually someone will fill in the gaps in the Doctor Who Character Options line, I could list what is essential and missing for days.
Do you have an opinion on the Transformers DeLorean Gigawatt? As a Transformers lover as a kid and Back to the Future being one of my all time favorite movies, seeing reviews of this toy make me drool. I agree with you, fans are making the best stuff right now, but to me, Gigawatt looks like a quality item. I also love Ectotron! Maverick...meh. If I could I'd at least get Gigawatt and Ectotron, but as much as I'd love to pursue toy collecting as a hobby it would just be very financially irresponsible for me to do so at this time. That's why I'm so grateful to RetroBlasting when you do reviews like this one and other channels that have reviewed those Transformers crossovers...I at least get to experience a bit of the excitement in seeing these toys in detail. Thank you for that!
I suppose Stan could make replacement parts like the black stormtrooper blaster and helmet for Luke in Stormtrooper outfit, plenty out there need them. I would like to see some 12" figures as well. Could Hasbro shut this whole enterprise down? I certainly hope not.
I saw a few Empire figs. The cards are very flimsy. I did pick up the retro/but not snake eyes the other day. That card back is also flimsy, like a cheap cardboard container for frozen sandwiches. The original snake eyes art and joe logo look good, but there are numerous changes, especially on the back of the card. Definitely not the same. Has to dropped the ball.

I used FX7 as a battle droid, his arms were lasers.
Maybe the Yavin R2 will be the blasted up damaged one from after the Death Star battle?
