RE makes bike for a targeted amount of ppls who like the bare bone technology but cant afford luxury like harleys so ya its good even KTM RC8R didnt even had a abs and it costed 16 lakhs
Both the variants looks good. But my choice is metro variant. The base variant is good choice although i don't understand why RE has given it a very basic features and equipments . Everything on the base version is so simple. At least they could have given a wider 130 or 140 section rear tyre and s rear disc brake, and that would have given the bike a good visual appeal. The rear looks little bit slime. Other Wise the retro version looks very good 👍. i don't care about meter console being simple as long as it doesn't Misses on essentials like gear indicator and fuel Gage.

They already have the higher variant with most necessary features for the people who can afford it however there are many people who can't afford the higher variant hence they cut down many features you can run without so that people can still buy this bike and get the RE value

How is it different in respect to the powertrain, torque, drivability, and other key elements we look out for, from a motorcycle?, just the outer looks and cosmetic changes? and serves your appetite??
Its the price bro. People will buy it for its RE name, retro look and below 2 lakhs price range. Not everyone is a hardcore rider. And this beast is for such people. It will be a massive hit.

But thumbs up for Royal Enfield, giving us the opportunity to go against the stream and making simple, beautiful bikes with fun and character. And I think that these two models are very spot on. Taking the classic 350, and make it relevant for the next generation, and also gives the mature generation curious to get back to the root's. When you optimize something to go with 200 km/h , you often end up making the bike less useful for normal traffic. I have to say, that most of my motorcycle live is lived in the spectrum under 100 km/h So I look forward to see these bikes in real life.
Bro plz do dyno testing of hunter 350 n honda cb350rs. I heard lot of complaints regards to low end torque issue of cb350rs so want to know if it's due to taller gearing or engine itself has problem.
Are we are expecting alloys on the Interceptor and GT, anytime soon? Spoke wheels are good but a pain to adjust periodically plus people who work with spoke wheels are hard to find.
Royal enfield has done a petty choice with trying to position and differentiate between the Metro and Retro models. The retro should have been designed to inspire a true old skool retro charm feel but instead used it to make the metro version look better. Oh you wanted the spoked wheels? Buy the metro and replace the mag wheels with spoked ones. What happens to the one you replaced? That's your business to sell it.. RE already made its money. The rest of poor fitment and accessories and pathetic pain scheme on the retro make that bike obsolete. If you aren't sure, wait till the price gets announced. I bet the difference will be hardly 15000 between retro and metro base variant. Buyers will automatically gravitate towards the Metro. Classic marketing 101.
If that were the case, why would they even bother to build the Retro at all? But I do agree that Retro could do with more colour options and chrome. Perhaps they'll recognize this and bring out a premium variant of the Retro?

@@avinashmish999 there are many things that matters.. Not just the CC... To be frank it is looking like a common motorcycle.. Ntg spl and it was quoted that it will the most affordable RE bike... If 1.7 (including on road and all) is most affordable in RE .. Then I am leaving the decision to you .. If it is costing that much I will add 20-30k more and get refined , better engine(which will not take me to garage frequently and runs for years) and looks way better than this .... I. e Cb350rs So in short 1.7L is not justifiable for the "most affordable RE" Tag and even for this normal looking bike.

I would say ,there should be an option of spoke wheels on top model with regular switch gears(one on the retro) which make sense.

theres no low end torque issue on the cb 350rs.its very good. the issue is with high end torque. there is practically no torque in the 5th gear.
