    What frustrated me the most about doctors, is they never even used the word anxiety. The first just gave me a pill for OCD (I never took it). The next doctor told me that my fast heart rate "was just normal for me." No. I haven't always been like this. Both docs were CLUELESS about how anxiety affects the nervous system.
    So I had to figure it all out on my own. It's worse when you struggle with something and feel like no one understands. That just makes you feel worse.

    Going to a doctor with High BP, he puts you on blood thinners though theres no identifiable reason for the BP and then just increases the dose bcoz obviously the blood thinner isn't going to work. I actually don't watch his videos any longer (I'm over it). I remember when I used to struggle with it as well. I was so desperate 'cuz it ruled all days long like 24/7 and I couldn't shut it off myself. It something that MAY go away with time on it's own = there is like no garanty. U first get it under control, than u learn that it doesn't ruin ur days anymore and with time it will feel as if it's getting more quit and peaceful in your head. That's my story in brief.

    For a year I've been struggling with nausea & anxiety. NO Rx has worked. If it goes on too long i get a shot of Phenergan, which I'm not supposed to take since I'm over 75. Only thing that works. Then 2 weeks later it starts all over again. My Dr is wondering if the anxiety is causing the nausea or nausea causing anxiety. I've had every test they can think of...nothing! I feel like I'm in hell. 🤯

    It's crazy..
    So ATM I'm feeling my throat tight with what it feels like a lump in my throat, it doesn't hurt when I swallow or anything. I went to the doctors yesterday only to tell me that I'm okay 100% but here I am back at home feeling the same crap.. it's tiring, exhausting, I'm dizzy.. the symptoms to pile up. I really don't know what to do, I can't even cry anymore. I want it to stop and there's nothing anyone can do because it'll always be myself to take action. Too bad there's no where to start

    shaan can you make an in depth video on allowance because in my mind whatever im doing the thing that comes to mind is allow example:- when im eating i say allow myself to eat, allow myself to watch youtube etc. i do not understand allowance. can someone explain it to me in depth.

    • @shorfan
      @shorfan 2 роки тому +2

      Allowing is accepting and letting the symptoms be whenever they show up. So when the anxiety symptoms come up, whether it’s intrusive thoughts, nausea, dizziness, dpdr, panic attacks etc. etc. You just allow and accept the symptoms to be there and not get lost in the fear of them. So maybe you’re watching a video and then symptoms come up is just to allow the symptoms to be there without judgement or starting to panic, just let the symptoms be there. Or if you’re out shopping and there is a panic attack coming, then just notice the panic attack, let it be, and then keep shopping.
      So basically Don’t give in to fear or panic whenever the symptoms arise - just let them be there even though it is uncomfortable.

      Hey. I did the same, I would conquer one symptom and another one would pop up. What really helped me was reflecting in a positive and grateful light and telling myself that I overcame my last problem, reminding myself how I overcame it and like Shaan said throw everything you’re feeling under the anxiety umbrella and that really refuses the fear of any new problem. You must learn to accept the feelings also and tell them that they can be there but you still need to go about your day. I think talking to my anxiety like it’s an actual person really helps me.
