I actually have a missing finger that I lost when I was young anybody got any ideas on how to turn that into a magic trick 😂
Do the fake finger in the spot of your missing finger and take off the fake finger and just leave it off
You could tell them you lost a finger on your other hand (the one that isn't missing one), and then make a switch like you're trading that finger to the other hand. Perhaps something like " you know, I lost a finger when I was younger, but that has made magic a lot harder for me" *while showing the hand with all of the fingers except with one finger hidden*. "Some tricks are better done with my right or left hand, so depending on the trick I do, I might..." *Switch fingers to show the other hand missing a finger and the original hand with all 5* "switch around".
You could also go back and forth a couple of times and really sell the illusion that you can trade fingers, just ending on the one hand missing one.
Do this trick, but only the replacement finger, and make it disappear with a card

Me: you have no idea.
You could do those two tricks together. Doing the thumb first makes the finger look even more impossible cos the spectator has got only the thumb trick principle in Thier head. Working that in to a magic ring story would be great as an impromptu routine
That is a common response right... "I did a thing once that was totally different so I now know everything about all things that remind me about that" :-)

And somehow managed to get it without any tutorial but this actually helps in perfecting the trick

Detachable finger was the very first trick I ever saw, it got me into magic. I went to magic camp for like 4 years and held shows at family reunions and the neighborhood. Unfortunately I went to military school and was not able to practice. Watching your videos got me back into it! Thank you Chris!!!

Wow Chris,I can't believe how powerful this illusion is to the eye,even when you know how it's done, it still amazes me.Obviously the camera lies as much as the eye,so I guess psychologists would say "we all have a dark gross side that we don't want to admit to having(great trick to do when people are out of it!Keep those cool videos coming..)
This is a super cool trick.
It took me almost one hour practice to move my fingers in the right positions smoothly. It works best with a wide ring (doesn't work with a super tight ring).
