The karma line in the vault scene in LWYMMD makes sense. Cause all the songs that she didn't release until the re-recordings called vault tracks (from the vault). I hope there's a Karma Album. We need a rock album.
It was supposed to come out 2016, which followed her “every two year” album releases. She took a gap year and released reputation 2017. She then continued with the “every two year” album release with the release of Lover 2019 (her best album in my opinion), but she then completely lost the album release schedule and began releasing albums on her own time
I'm 1000% sure "Karma" was deconstructed and turned into Midnights. The lyrics, the production, the melodies, the subject matter in most of the songs sound like 2016 (so much so that critics called it regressive). A lot of her songs are about meeting Joe, breaking up in NYC, Bejeweled sounds like her breakup with Calvin... She also claimed that these songs were "13 sleepless nights scattered throughout her life" so we know she didn't, at least initially, write them recently. It's possible Karma was just never finished and she went straight into focusing on Rep, or used some Karma songs for Reputation and she put the rest on Midnights.
I will say that Midnights sounds like it could be a successor to 1989 or Reputation. I’m still holding out for a Taylor rock album tho 😂 why do you think she would hold on to it for this long to release it as Midnights?
I agree with you that i think it was scrapped and then many parts of it used for midnights, but regarding bejeweled she explicitly said that song is about her return to pop music
@@JukeboxHistory i think it makes sense, her life completely changed with the whole kanye scandal and releasing an album called "karma" right after her reputation was ruined would just be cringey and laughable. So I think she switched directions to fit the time of her life she was in and then by the time the next album was coming out, her life was just much brighter and happier and she wanted to honor that with lover. She was already going back to her old stuff and vault tracks and I think she just decided to release a whole album instead of putting all these songs as vault tracks on 1989 and rep. But yes, a rock album is much needed!!
@@SuzER08 I think she said that because that's what it means to her now and also because she hasn't liked to say who her breakup songs are about since like 2009 lol it sounds like she wrote it when she went to the met without Calvin Harris in 2016 to me.
after midnights i kinda lost hope that we’d get karma because now she has a song called karma and i feel like it would be weird to have an album called karma along with the song that’s on a whole different album. but then again karma is just a theorized name, i still fully believe karma is real and maybe she’ll release it one day with a different title
Based on the evidence in this video I am convinced that she was planning on releasing a different album in 2016 that was shelved for reputation, but to me it makes zero sense that it would be called Karma. I mean Reputation could have easily been called Karma- the name would have fit perfectly well for the album. So I find it hard to believe that she was planning an album called Karma and then ended up writing a fully different album that was basically all about Karma and yet didn't use that title. And why would she name an album Karma pre-kimye scandal? I think maybe Karma was a working title for rep and the shelved album was either unnamed or has a different name
She could title it Karmatic Justice. It's a pre-existing phrase, it's not copyrighted, and it'd be a nice nod to the fact that it took a while, but the public did eventually realize Kanye was a piece of trash and she got some semblance of justice for the whole situation.
Off Topic: like we know for now that in Bejeweled MV the next rerecord is Speak Now, BUT if you see the wall in 'The Man' MV and her white look at AMA 2019, we can see an weird order like we got a strange direction if we follow all the rerecordings we are getting. Fearless > Red > Speak Now. If you follow that line in the wall + her white look, we can get an order. PLUS: In the bejeweled MV we get a strange dialogue that Taylor may have gave us the real order. Speak Not = Speak Now Clean = 1989 Swiftly = Debut Bye, Snake! = Reputation In the Bejeweled MV we can also see Taylor goin' to Speak Now floor AND 1989 right after. Hitting us that the next after Speak Now is 1989. So we can make an imaginary line: Fearless》Red》Speak Now》1989》Debut》Reputation In the wall + her look at AMA, we can see that order in a strange way. Sorry for the text, btw i love the video and the way you explain the theory.❤
It’s definitely a possibility that she could have changed the order later on. Especially since the “Shake it Off” lawsuit got settled. And thank you so much!
I'll grant you the dialogue in that video was strange, so it seems like it must be important... but who knows. there are court cases happening for shake it off, which delayed things. (all I am grateful for, we don't have to endure a lover TV) and given I was a mature woman when Debut came out, so mostly ignored it, I'm thrilled to get to go through the TV era for that one.
10:50 I think the rock version of WANEGBTG could also be an Easter egg that she was planning on releasing rock music, because it was the lead single on red, which was when her music became more pop than country.
On the plane, the tail actually says "TS6" indicating for aure that the plane is supposed to represent her next album. But *then* she spray paints Reputation. Making that plane theory even stronger.
i genuinely believe that karma was supposedly after lover but interrupted by the pandemic and has just been sitting there in the vault and renamed it to midnights to not sound like a reputation type beat,bc karma (the song) does sound like a lead single and karma (the album) was only mainly teased in the lover era and i can see karma having a concept very similar to midnights,
That’s not a bad theory! I do wonder why she didn’t release Karma as a single for Midnights. I think Bleachella really was hinting at a new era though. Unless it was just a one off look for Vogue like some people say. Thanks for watching!
Midnights seems very new tho. Lavender Haze, Midnight Rain, Snow on the Beach, Youre on your own kid, Vigilante Shit, Karma seems written at the present. I mean esp Karma itself because it has a line "Ask me why so many fade but Im still here" theres no way she couldve write that at 2016.
@@cheezekeyk377 Yeah but reworking lyrics is something that happens all the time within the music industry. And midnights could just partially use song or ideas from karma and also have new songs and inspirations🙃.
100%. I love TS but don't listen to full albums of hers because it's not really my style of music. If she had a rock album I'd be be playing that on repeat!!!
I don't think we'll every get the full Karma album, but I definitely believe it was meant to be after 1989. Too many easter eggs give hints to that. Like you mentioned, Taylor changed her entire look and she did that for each album. It wouldn't surprise me if some songs ended up on Rep or if she scratched it entirely, but I hold out hope that one day she'll confirm one way or another. Maybe release a few songs.
I think 1 of 3 possible outcomes. Bleachella is the Ghost (Ready for it+Directoral practice: Cats) so the lost album/missing album and return to sender. As we know Taylor is now a director writting a script. Midnights may be a collective that was missing but I think Its the vaults Primarily the reputation vault to come. Also she gave us the knowledge of two more installments in the works so a career pivot is coming TS13 or TS14 and thats based to preplanning
Having an album named Karma and having a song with the same name on another album seems wierd. I think she released Karma to shut these rumours about Karma album.... Idk...
I believe that she was definitely working on a brand new album around 2015-2016 but it was never finished. but because of the Kimye drama, she moved on to Reputation
I feel like Taylor loved the Karma album so much that she brings it up so often and even having a song dedicated to the lost album. Karma then was eventually integrated to her future albums, but Im still really hoping that the album gets into light in its original form, and seeing how it would've fitted the 2016-2017 era instead of Reputation, Lover ,etc. etc.
I think there’s a possibility she reused some of the songs off of Karma but I still believe we’ll get the full album at some point (even if it’s in another form). Not a bad theory tho!
If karma song is dedicated to her lost album… then why is the song clearly about Scooter ? If she’s dedicated it to an album written and scrapped prior to her masters controversy, then how can it be about Scooter or Scott or Kanye?
it would be really interesting if the song karma from midnights was supposed to be on this album, but then she decided to release it with midnights to tease this album's release. and she picked karma because that's what the album was supposed to be named after. if anything, she'll probably release the album with a different name now, but we'll know it's that one because all the tracks will be from the vault.
It haunts me how there are hundreds of Taylor’s songs we have no idea about… I personally don’t think she’ll release her Karma album anymore because that’s just not who she is anymore but we may get something new with the same vibes! 🤷♀️
I believe there is an album in between but I don't think Karma is the name. Most probably, this scrapped album will be released as vault songs for Reputation (Taylor's Version) or it will be a double album.
I still believe on Karma Album. Since we got Midnights. Some songs from Midnights have similar beat from previous album. I believe the Karma song is from Karma album that have the similar beat or something else just like other Midnights song ex Question…? : Out of the Woods, Maroon : King of My Heart
Midnights is the album for swifties, cos so many songs are sister songs. I think Maroon is the grown up version of Red. yoyok is a banger Track 5, referencing her career to date. (still can't take the crown from the best ever track 5: ATW)
Watch the end of the Eras show, there's an orange door and also on the karma song, the dancers all have their flurry coats with colors of her albums... except for 1 orange coat on 1 dancer who actually has bleached hair...
Great video! Just another swiftie here. This just gets me so excited for whatever she's going to give us next. I need to hear what else is in that vault!!!!!
Really interesting! I'd just be curious about what the album was about if it was centered around karma. The Kimye situation definitely kick started the rep era, and the issues with Scooter Braun didn't begin until 2019, after reputation was already released. So I'd be curious about who she would be writing about at that point in her life. She and Calvin Harris broke up in 2016, and This is What You Came For also released that year, so perhaps he could be a centerpiece of it... And I suppose the issues with Katy Perry hadn't been resolved yet, either. Idk, it would just be very very interesting to see what she'd write about on an album called Karma in 2016.
Personally, I think the lost album is actually a collection of demos that she recorded from 2015-2017. I don’t think the songs were meant to an album but rather release as one-off singles or split into EPs
she also gave us a rock performance in 1989 world tour. wanegbt! I think it was like her saying that 'I can also do this tipe of music'. and she was preparing us for her next era at some point... (sorry for my english)
Maybe karma is rep, like it was just a name change, like they have karma ready but then after everything happened she changes it to reputation and has her revenge songs along w karma song? So rep vault tracks could have karma songs instead of it being it’s own full album? Either way I hope she releases eventually
I think people have a view on Karma that might be a bit grandeur than what it really is. I feel as though Karma might’ve just been an earlier concert for Reputation, and that most of those songs just ended up on Reputation. Maybe some extras landed at Midnights too? And maybe we’ll hear some unreleased/scrapped songs on the Reputation Taylor’s Version, but I don’t think people should expect this grand 14 song hidden album.
I have read some of the counter arguments but I’m still a believer 🤓 do you think she’ll release anything big at the end of the re-recordings even if it’s not Karma?
Idk if anyone else has said this but if karma really is real it’s def gonna be after the re-records. In the man clock it shows the stolen albums we’ve gotten fearless tv and red tv, and every one is like 99% sure speak now is next, which is the order the clock is going. Also when Taylor announced midnights a lot of ppl thought she would announce lwymmd tv. Speak now and rep are right next to each other on the man clock. If the man really is the order of the re records karma should be real and should be after the re records
I ALWAYS believe in 'Karma', the lost album theory COZ the biggest clue to ME! is that Taylor herself NEVER say anything nor DENY about this lost album existence.. EVENTHOUGH she knew that this theory has been going around for years!!! (she damn well know about this coz when she announce Karma during Midnights Mayhem series..her cheeky looks & evil gigling says it all)...BUT then, if u recalled, she was quick to DENY the existence of 'Woodvale' - the theory about the 3rd Folklore sister album.. So, now i think..IF we EVER gonna get to hear this 'legendary/or fantasy album - call it what u want..', Taylor mostly would release it AFTER 1989 TV & BEFORE Rep TV. coz: i predict the order for the rest of rerecording release gonna be 1)SNTV 2)1989 TV 3)REP TV 4) Debut TV. So, IF Taylor 'want' to release 'Karma' , it gonna fit perfectly in between 1989 TV & REP TV...& 'correct' back the timeline & i think this make very much sense (IF she has written enough songs that she felt good enough for the album during the lost timeline) 🤗🤗🤗
Another theory I was thinking about is that some (if not most) of the songs from the original Karma album was moved to Reputation. Reputation has been branded as a K*mYe diss album, yet half of the songs in its chunk aren't really about that, so there's a chance that those songs had another purpose or felt like it was from another album. Though this could be easily debunked as these songs are dedicated to Joe Alwyn anyway, and they only dated in late 2016, so Karma should be and must already be completed back in 2015. If Not moved to Reputation then it was probably integrated into the other albums, Lover and Midnights, but with Midnights having literally 20 new songs (most are new) and Lover as well, I doubt that she ever reused scrapped songs from the lost album, if she ever really had one that is.
Yea there are a ton of songs on Reputation about Joe. It was definitely a response to the Kimye fiasco but you’re right that there aren’t many songs focused on that. If you had to say which songs on Rep were reworked from Karma what would you guess?
yeah, you have it right. there's no way Getaway Car is a karma song, cos think about the place where you first Met me.... that was written after the Met Gala, and the Karma theory pre-dates that.
I don’t know if we will get the whole album, i do think it’s a true album though that was supposed to go out before reputation, probably she never dropped that because she decided that the best thing to do was disappearing for some time and then drop that after her absence but probably Reputation never existed if she did this way, or probably she thought that the album “Karma” was too much rough and could’ve been her last album and so criticized even more than Reputation, though i think we will get a little bit of “Karma” on Reputation (Taylor’s Version) for the “From The Vault Songs” and maybe, on interviews, she will even talk about it. I know that we will not get the whole album because she has a song called “Karma” already on Midnights and plus i think she wants to leave that hard era behind after the Lover Album. However, Karma is real because she teased that a lot of times, for example on the The Man music video, Karma is written on the wall and after that scene we can see: “If you see it, return it to Taylor Swift”, and then she laughed after announcing the track Karma on the Midnights album and on the LWYMMD video she is canceling: TS6 as if Reputation could’ve been her seventh album already. She’s teasing it and i hope that one day we’ll get some of it.😭
I do not believe there was another album planned. Scott said their wouldn’t be one on her usual schedule. And she has said that no one wanted to hear from her. She had just finished a huge huge tour and had been going non-stop. There is nothing hinting at the scrapped album in her documentary. Also, it is VERY common that women change their hair when they are ready to make change in their personal life. I just think that she talks about Karma a lot as a theory and she believes wholeheartedly in it. She talks about karma her entire career… karma is a big part of her life and I think most of the Swifties are reaching here. I think that due to Taylor putting a lot of Easter Eggs in her material that we can tend to see and make things up when there isn’t anything to it (reminding everyone about the 5 holes in the fence 🙄🤡; the dates on the calendar, etc). It is clear she was super wounded at this time and was in a very different & difficult place she had never experienced before. And before the whole Kimye thing, there would have been no reason to do a Karma album (the Scooter situation hadn’t happened yet either). Was she going to do a whole album about Calvin called that? It doesn’t make sense actually when you think of what was happening in her life during the time she would have been writing Karma. Nothing really bad was happening, yet. 🤷🏻♀️
I will agree that there’s not much in the way of understanding why it would have been called Karma. Since it was before the Kimye and Scooter thing she wouldn’t have much reason to call it that (unless there’s some other reason not known to the public). My fiancé has a theory that Karma could just be a code word for the lost album. Either way I do think that there was an album that was supposed to drop in 2016. (Also the five holes in the fence could still be leading up to something, maybe she’s playing the long game 🧐)
Also let’s not forget that she started recording reputation in 2016 and they say that she made a whole album karma in 2016? Like it just doesn’t make sense
If Karma is true it could be written on 2014 - 2015. And also Karma could be a relaxing thought or a cat purring in her lap. Karma is flexible could be bad or good. So it depends on what point she was that time if she really writing about that album before
I enjoyed this video very much. I'm a huge Swiftie so everything you said I already knew lol. I didn't join that Taylor is over party. Because I have so much love and respect for Ms. Taylor.
Reputation and Midnights songs that may be put and transferred to Karma: End Game Karma This is Why We Can't Have Nice Things This is What You Came For New Year's Day
Karma being the 11th track off of midnights, after the rereleases the following album would be the 11th. Taylor nation commenting on someone's post 🕰💜💙🖤💚...🧡🕰 orange door at the end of the eras tour! Her lover pink nail randomly changing to orange, while wearing the orange set I believe the rereleases will be done by the end of the tour. Even with rumors of a second US leg, it would make even more sense. That way when the tour is over, she can enter the newest era aka Karma bc what better way for Karma to work her magic than owning all your music that was stolen and breaking records in the process as well as making all that money she lost, bc her loyal fanbase would rather wait for her to own it than to give money to Scooter Braun 🫶🏻 Im gonna be so happy the day she releases all Taylor's versions🥺
If only the door of the lover house would be orange, I definitely would believe in this theory even more. Currently, I am only absolutely confused. Don't even know if the Karma Track from Midnights is an argument for or against the Karma Album. But even when Midnights is part of the lover house, why is no room or somenthing else that point on KARMA?? WHYYY? I would love it sooo much.
This makes sense as the karma album was supposed to be released in 2016 or something and that time she had a break up with Calvin Harris and there are no such songs on their break up...am I right?
Really nice review, very thorough. While I don’t believe in the scrapped karma album theory, you did a great job explaining everything that was going on. Why would she have an album called karma prior to the Kanye or scooter mess? Instead she is now using the word karma toward them? Which is it? Can’t be both. Either she had an album called karma prior to the kim /Kanye/ scooter/master debacle (meaning the album & word would not symbolize those issues) or there was no scrapped karma album but she believes in the word and is using it now to describe what happens to these people.
I think Karma is just that- karma. Taylor is saying that her getting her records back is karma. Her earning money from them, is karma. Midnights Era is karma
I thing karma was an album however I don’t think we will ever get it. A good chunk of reputation songs could have been taken form there so it would make sense to put out a half-baked version of another well beloved album.
I never really get too involved with swiftie theories (bc i get my hopes up lol) but Karma is one that really makes a lot of sense. I don't think it's too far fetched to believe Taylor was writing songs from 2014 to 2015. We know she writes A LOT anyway. I believe the most likely course of events is for her to release Karma tracks as Reputation vault tracks. I don't know if it was actually called Karma just because it would be a kinda random name since she was working on it before the Kimye drama and she never really used that word in songs before. I think it's likely it was title given after the fact. I believe it was actually only given to the lost album after The Man music video.
if Karma was supposed to be an album, she might put half of it in the 1989 rerelease and the other half in Rep rerelease, or all on Rep. Based off how she released the 10 minute version of All Too Well, i don't think she want to keep any of her music from us, but since she hasn't ever talked about this album by name and ive never heard of it until now, i dont believe it exists
she never talks about her albums before hand, at least, not unless it's ROCK solid. and You've never heard of it? oh well, case closed. you missed the clock theory in The Man video? you missed bleachella as a signal for a new Era? "based of how she released ATW TV 10v" you mean, like almost 10 years later......?! she hinted at a longer version for years. Taylor loves her easter eggs, and is on the record saying she'd try to drop hints 3 years in advance. that was a while ago, for all we know she's dropping hints 10 years in advance.
That was really put well together If karma was real.... I don't think we will hear it, since (if it was real) the majority (if not all of the songs) had already went to constructing Reputation & Midnight So assuming Karma is real..... Karma just ended up being split into Reputation & Midnights, probably some lyrics went to lover, Folklore, Evermor as well since writing is not a Linear process but rather iterative.
Taylor is great, she has so many fans, concerts great, and it's obvious her music/presentation is fantastic. It's obvious that some people in the music industry are envious, Kanye is an example. It seems that she has overcome the episode but that is hard, I do think she has excelled. She is STRONG!
I love the theory that the song Karma includes the titles from the missing album Karma for example 1. Boyfriend 2. Karma is a God 3. Breeze in my hair 4. Relaxing thought...
Or maybe Karma could be somewhere after Midnights? Because I feel like she shifted each album, and maybe felt like waiting to shift to rock? Because Midnights sounds more like if she's leaning towards Indie. So maybe like (Self-Titled = Country) (Fearless = Country Pop) (Speak Now = Country Pop Rock) (Red = Country Pop Rock maybe a bit more rock sound into it?) and then (1989 = Synth-Pop) (Reputation = Electropop) (Lover = The mix of Pop Rock, Synth-Pop, and Electropop) (Folklore = With Indie folk) (Evermore = Indie Folk again) and then (Midnights = Electropop, Synth-Pop, Dream Pop) so it feels like she's trying to shift slowly over each album. And maybe Karma just wasn't at that time yet. Maybe Karma would have rock version of her songs if she felt like doing a 2CD edition of Karma perhaps? Who knows? lol
Okay, hear me out. What if Karma's lyrics are track names from Karma the album In the song, T.S. wrote the lyrics in metaphors i.e. "Karma is..." So what if Karma is: 1. My Boyfriend 2. God 3. Breeze in my hair 4. Weekend 5. Olivia (cat) 6. Relaxing thought 7. Envy 8. Sweet like honey 9. acrobat 10. thunder 11. bounty hunter 12. sweet like justice 13. queen 14. summit 15. guy on the screen another theory: it can also be a twin album, split into two, bad vs good karma. The first one is about all of her naysayers The second one is about how life has treated her so well despite what she has been through...
I don't think she will release Karma anymore but I do think it was real and many of the songs are in the Midnights album and maybe some are going on the 1989 or reputation re recording as vault
I thought she decided to hide after 1989 officially. I think at this time she realized that she wasn’t the owner of her music, and just released rep I thought it was 4 years after 1989. She had been touring since her young adult hood and needed privacy and to get her life back and be with Joe and be able to start a real relationship. She knew she was owned by her record company who most likely told her what she can and can’t say. With Karma being on the wall it says if lost please return to Taylor Swift so maybe it was scrapped and maybe she will release it but I don’t think the songs were reworked into rep or midnights I think they were scrapped or maybe 1 song from reputation was going to be on karma before it got scrapped. At the end of the day I don’t think of Karma as a very positive thing and it would be kind of negative branding but maybe that’s why it fits a rock genre. It is hard to believe a whole album was scrapped and that we haven’t had leaks bc I have heard 100 leaked songs and the only rock version I heard was Taylor’s Pour Some Sugar on me which is awesomeb
I know alot of people have lost hope in the “karma” album since “midnights” because a song was released called karma as we all know it. However i believe that in the song Karma the lurics staring “karma is…” what if all the things karma is told to be are the names of songs on the album. God, cat, breeze in my hair ect ect
I'm a swiftie but I don't particularly care if Karma is a real album or not, I'm just glad Taylor took the time she needed to hide and restore her sense of self worth before emerging again
I do think it’s really and that it will be released soon but not the same as it was in 2016 as I believe that in those 7 years surely some songs from the album must have been released on the other albums some that I think could have been from Karma are; I did something bad, Vigilante Shit (in a way), Your on your own kid and many from Folklore and Evermore. With Vigilante Shit I think it was originally a Karma song but then re-written for midnights as I do believe it’s about Kim K. I do hope it comes out one day but I do strongly believe it won’t be like it would have been
Taylor Swift #taylorswift baby I'm going to announce just a handful of our lost albums as Easter eggs but I want the public and fans in the know that these are are indeed these are our lost albums 1. Karma 2. fearless 2008 and re-recordings 3. forevermore 4 . woodvale 5 . midnight's 6 . Love story 7. speak now 8 . 1989
it’s a cool theory but i honestly think it was probably just the original name for reputation and she’s just been putting up for fun. Now the man clock notice how karma is in the middle i think she’s saying the re-recording are karma not another album.
WAITTTTT HOLD UP- He said “Nobody heard from her for 1 year” “Nobody’s heard from me for months, I’m doing better than I ever was” Call It What You Want, from Reputation that was released in 2017…..🤯🤯 and also for one of her concerts or tours or whatever, for Reputation. Does anyone remember that she had that big snake in her tour because Kim K called her a snake? I don’t know if anyone else thought of this, or if I’m being really dumb, or something.
you're not dumb, although suggesting we swifties hadn't noticed this...that could be called dumb (love you). I had a friend tell me recently (when I brought us TS cos midngihts was just released) that TS was satanic, and shared a video with me where they said her using snake imagery was the proof 🤣 🤪 I tried to explain TS Lore to my friend, including the KimYe thing, but she was not hearing it. I'm sad for her, because TS is a true artist, and when she releases an album, it is indeed an Era. and that's why the bleached hair is the giveaway that Karma was real, cos TS was launching a new album, but it got hijacked by KimYe. but hey, it worked out, we got Reputation.
@@brunetteXer yeah I honestly had no idea where I was going with my comment to this video but I wanted to comment something about it just because of the “Call it What you Want” connection.
This guy is just trying to start "beef" I mean drama. I just think Taylor Swift was just trying to test out a new look to see if she liked it, but it's fun to believe.
The lyrics were originally even worse - it was supposed to be that Taylor “owes me sex”. I think Taylor must’ve heard that version and thought it was misogynistic.
PLEASE READ MY THEORY (and credit me if you use it) this is a theory about the lost karma album. since karma was supposedly made between 1989 and rep. now 1989 tv has just been released and most swifties are speculating that rep tv is next because of the easter egg on the 1989 tv album cover. again karma was going to come between 1989 and rep. I think that karma is coming next also because one of ice spice's lyrics "she (karma) gonna pop up unnanounced." pls give me your ideas and opinions in the replies because i want to know if this is possible 🤭🤭
Just found your channel, im not really a Taylor fan and I wish you’d talk ab other artists but still I’m subscribing bc of how well you’ve done this…. Hope you talk ab some of my faves (Ari, Beyoncé, The Weeknd, Bruno mars, demi Lovato, etc.)
@@JukeboxHistory nicee, now I’m watching the “how to enjoy music” one… not really interested in every video u posted (till now) but I do love how you express your ideas and how u Edit the videos so I’m staying😌
The karma line in the vault scene in LWYMMD makes sense. Cause all the songs that she didn't release until the re-recordings called vault tracks (from the vault). I hope there's a Karma Album. We need a rock album.
Yup! That video really has a lot packed in it 😂 and same here! I think it’ll be really interesting. Thanks for watching
YES!
yeah, but do not forget she is the queen of promoting albuns for what they not exactly are... midnights as a 70s synth pop? not quite 😫😫
It was supposed to come out 2016, which followed her “every two year” album releases. She took a gap year and released reputation 2017. She then continued with the “every two year” album release with the release of Lover 2019 (her best album in my opinion), but she then completely lost the album release schedule and began releasing albums on her own time
I never thought about the connection that line has to the vault 🤯
@@SuzER08 I think she said that because that's what it means to her now and also because she hasn't liked to say who her breakup songs are about since like 2009 lol it sounds like she wrote it when she went to the met without Calvin Harris in 2016 to me.
taylor said that the entirety of the albums is new tho, she did write them recently. I think throughout 2022
after midnights i kinda lost hope that we’d get karma because now she has a song called karma and i feel like it would be weird to have an album called karma along with the song that’s on a whole different album. but then again karma is just a theorized name, i still fully believe karma is real and maybe she’ll release it one day with a different title
I think that’s a good theory!
But if she’d do that, how would we know that it really is Karma, and not an entirely new album?
I’m thinking since karma is track 11 on midnights it’s gonna be her 11th album since she only has 10 rn
She could title it Karmatic Justice. It's a pre-existing phrase, it's not copyrighted, and it'd be a nice nod to the fact that it took a while, but the public did eventually realize Kanye was a piece of trash and she got some semblance of justice for the whole situation.
I think karma definitely could have been a code name for reputation (like woodvale for folklore)
the karma album theory popped up in the music video for “the man” which is a lover single, which was released 2 tears after reputation
no. Karma was part of the bleachella look. Rep evolved organically.
Not really there's no way Taylor wouldn't write anything in 4 years especially that she usually would release album every 2 years
Reputation only came about after her reputation was tarnished in the media tho
I am glad Reputation exists because I saw her at the Eras tour, and the Reputation part of the show was definitely the most lit part of the show
Off Topic: like we know for now that in Bejeweled MV the next rerecord is Speak Now, BUT if you see the wall in 'The Man' MV and her white look at AMA 2019, we can see an weird order like we got a strange direction if we follow all the rerecordings we are getting.
Fearless > Red > Speak Now.
If you follow that line in the wall + her white look, we can get an order.
PLUS: In the bejeweled MV we get a strange dialogue that Taylor may have gave us the real order.
Speak Not = Speak Now
Clean = 1989
Swiftly = Debut
Bye, Snake! = Reputation
In the Bejeweled MV we can also see Taylor goin' to Speak Now floor AND 1989 right after. Hitting us that the next after Speak Now is 1989.
So we can make an imaginary line:
Fearless》Red》Speak Now》1989》Debut》Reputation
In the wall + her look at AMA, we can see that order in a strange way.
Omg like fearless >> red >> speak now >> 1989 >> debut >> reputation >> PS THAT WOULD BE SMART FOR TAYYY
10:50 I think the rock version of WANEGBTG could also be an Easter egg that she was planning on releasing rock music, because it was the lead single on red, which was when her music became more pop than country.
Oh I didn’t think of that! Good point, definitely gives it an extra layer. Thanks for watching!
I mean esp Karma itself because it has a line "Ask me why so many fade but Im still here" theres no way she couldve write that at 2016.
no, Karma was rock. Midnights is meh, dominated by Jack. (thank god for Aaron and we got those extra tracks which are amazing)
@@cheezekeyk377 Yeah but reworking lyrics is something that happens all the time within the music industry. And midnights could just partially use song or ideas from karma and also have new songs and inspirations🙃.
if the album karma IS real it will be the most ICONIC thing to ever drop in her discography. A Taylor swift rock album would break the internet!
Oh it’ll be huge
100%. I love TS but don't listen to full albums of hers because it's not really my style of music. If she had a rock album I'd be be playing that on repeat!!!
Karma is the 11th track on the album ''Midnights'' (Taylor's 10th album), and I think Karma's gonna be Taylor's 11th album because it would be 11:11
That would be awesome! Plus we just got that Karma remix with some Easter eggs. Thanks for watching
OOOOO
I don't think we'll every get the full Karma album, but I definitely believe it was meant to be after 1989. Too many easter eggs give hints to that. Like you mentioned, Taylor changed her entire look and she did that for each album. It wouldn't surprise me if some songs ended up on Rep or if she scratched it entirely, but I hold out hope that one day she'll confirm one way or another. Maybe release a few songs.
I stopped believing in Karma after Midnights but your video gave me hope that its real.
Awesome! Please help yourself to a complimentary tin foil hat
i feel like you're right, the album is over, but i still have hopes we will get a rock album
Idk...
@@Fucorii No she for sure told us Karma existed
i feel like when rep tv comes out, she'll do a double album release with karma :)))))
That would be great!
Yea that def seems to be a popular theory. That she does have an unreleased album but that it may not be named Karma. Thanks for watching!
no, i think she wrote this song just to toy with us.
I can see that as a possibility! Will definitely be interesting to see what happens around Rep TV
yes that is what I'm hoping for!
I have no feelings at all about Taylor Swift, but you still presented this story in a way that kept me interested. Nice work!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching
I still believe on Karma Album. Since we got Midnights. Some songs from Midnights have similar beat from previous album. I believe the Karma song is from Karma album that have the similar beat or something else just like other Midnights song ex Question…? : Out of the Woods, Maroon : King of My Heart
Oh I never thought about it like that! Now I’m interested to see how that pans out
Midnights is the album for swifties, cos so many songs are sister songs.
Interesting!
Great video! Just another swiftie here. This just gets me so excited for whatever she's going to give us next. I need to hear what else is in that vault!!!!!
Same! I keep wondering if she’ll release anything around the Eras tour. Thanks for watching!
Yea that is def one of the mysteries. Could have been something not known to the public too!
Remember when Taylor did the 73 questions with Vogue? The interviewer asked Taylor something and she answered ‘Karma is real’.
Yup! Another instance of her teasing Karma’s existence
Not a Swiftie, but I'm obsessed with the idea of this album now. I did notice she skipped a cycle, but I wasn't following the gossip. Fascinating.
Personally, I think the lost album is actually a collection of demos that she recorded from 2015-2017. I don’t think the songs were meant to an album but rather release as one-off singles or split into EPs
That would be interesting!
she also gave us a rock performance in 1989 world tour. wanegbt! I think it was like her saying that 'I can also do this tipe of music'. and she was preparing us for her next era at some point... (sorry for my english)
Oh now I want karma to be an album!😅
You and me both 😩
Grat video! I love her 2016 look btw, so iconic
Oh same here! That Vogue shoot was one of the things that grabbed my attention about this theory. Thanks for watching!
your best vid to date, I'd be lying if I said I was a huge fan of her music, but you kept me interested the whole time!
Thanks man! 🤠 that means a lot
Maybe karma is rep, like it was just a name change, like they have karma ready but then after everything happened she changes it to reputation and has her revenge songs along w karma song? So rep vault tracks could have karma songs instead of it being it’s own full album? Either way I hope she releases eventually
I 💯believe Karan is real! I never heard of the The Man clock idea, I will die dead if we get Karma after all the other re-recordings 💀
I’m right there with you! I hope it’s coming!
Karma is not real
RIP me
Me watching this video as if I don't already know every single thing that happened. Nice vid btw.
Always good to brush up 😂 thanks for watching!
haha, same.
There is a possibility she spread Karma over her other releases but I’m staying hopeful for a full album release 🤞🏻
actually I hope for: Karma, the rock album, 13 songs in Taylor Rock Version (TRV) and 13 new songs 🙏🏻
I hope that one day we can hear that album
Another Swiftie here, at least we know it's a song! I'm really not sure if there's an album. I heard both sides and am still unsure 🤔
I have read some of the counter arguments but I’m still a believer 🤓 do you think she’ll release anything big at the end of the re-recordings even if it’s not Karma?
@@JukeboxHistory yes, maybe a live album from eras
@@michaelhurley3171 that would be killer!
Taylor releasing Midnights on kimothy's birthday was the hardest of the whole thing.
i cant wait for "Karma (Taylors Version)" to drop
I completely agree that karma is coming between 1989 TV and rep tv 🫶
When she's all excited about midnights being a clock... And she's like "it's a clock." Is that her telling us we're right about the man clock???
She’s teasing it and i hope that one day we’ll get some of it.😭
thethriftyswiftie is one of my fav accounts for Taylor tea and easter egg conspiracys!!!!
She has a great account! Was super helpful in writing this video
Allow me to be the first swiftie in the comments 😌 great video!
Honored to have you here 🥳 and thank you!
In one of her reputation videos, where all of her eras meet up and stuff, I saw one of them being her bleachella look.
So it depends on what point she was that time if she really writing about that album before
@@BrodiesPiano she normally wrote her albums while on tour for the last one
@@JukeboxHistory but 2015 was before the Kim and Kanye stuff, and you are all saying it’s about Kim and Kanye?
why am i getting goosebumps from hearing these theories?

You are a very new channel but I think you are doing a great job.
Thank you!
I enjoyed this video very much. I'm a huge Swiftie so everything you said I already knew lol. I didn't join that Taylor is over party. Because I have so much love and respect for Ms. Taylor.
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching
What if... She scrapped some songs from that album, and used other songs for Reputation... And one for Midnights?
Definitely a popular theory!
For me, most/some songs from the supposedly Karma Album had already came out from Rep to Midnights. 🖤
can you also go over artpop act 2? i loved your formatting in this video and i think i’d enjoy an artpop act 2 video
I would love to! Karma really got me interested in lost albums. Thanks for the suggestion
Reputation and Midnights songs that may be put and transferred to Karma:
End Game
Karma
This is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
This is What You Came For
New Year's Day
Karma being the 11th track off of midnights, after the rereleases the following album would be the 11th.
Taylor swift lore is wild
As a complete project I don’t think it exists, I believe whatever was of it was either scrapped or worked into other songs for Rep/Lover/Midnights
I think Karma is just that- karma. Taylor is saying that her getting her records back is karma. Her earning money from them, is karma. Midnights Era is karma
Very nice narrative of the whole situation. Clear and believable. Thanks!
Appreciate the kind words! Thanks for watching
Great vid man ty for making this ive heard anout the karma stuff but i wasnt sure about it but now i know it all ty
Thanks for watching!
AT THE END OF ERAS TOUR CONCERT, THERES AN ORANGE DOOR CLOSING
I thing karma was an album however I don’t think we will ever get it. A good chunk of reputation songs could have been taken form there so it would make sense to put out a half-baked version of another well beloved album.
Great video summarizing everything!🙂
Taylor loves her easter eggs, and is on the record saying she'd try to drop hints 3 years in advance. that was a while ago, for all we know she's dropping hints 10 years in advance.
just because you personally have been out of the loop doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist
My toxic trait is that keep believing in the Karma album
That was really put well together
If karma was real.... I don't think we will hear it, since (if it was real) the majority (if not all of the songs) had already went to constructing Reputation & Midnight
So assuming Karma is real..... Karma just ended up being split into Reputation & Midnights, probably some lyrics went to lover, Folklore, Evermor as well since writing is not a Linear process but rather iterative.
Thanks so much! And yea that seems to be a very popular theory. I’m still holding out for a full album of unreleased songs though 🤞🏻
08:07 We need the video of re-recordings albums! ❤
I’m a big Swifty too. I hope we hear karma one day the album people the album I hope it comes.
Karma, the rock album, 13 songs in Taylor Rock Version (TRV) and 13 new songs 🙏🏻
What if Karma's lyrics are track names from Karma the album
In the song, T.S. wrote the lyrics in metaphors i.e. "Karma is..."
So what if Karma is:
1. My Boyfriend
2. God
3. Breeze in my hair
4. Weekend
5. Olivia (cat)
6. Relaxing thought
7. Envy
8. Sweet like honey
9. acrobat
10. thunder
11. bounty hunter
12. sweet like justice
13. queen
14. summit
15. guy on the screen
another theory: it can also be a twin album, split into two, bad vs good karma.
The first one is about all of her naysayers
The second one is about how life has treated her so well despite what she has been through...
Def a new take! Really interesting theory
I don't think she will release Karma anymore but I do think it was real and many of the songs are in the Midnights album and maybe some are going on the 1989 or reputation re recording as vault
If she releases it November 10th it will have been 6 years for her 6th album.
We can only hope 🙏🏻 not sure if she would drop it this close to 1989 TV but a surprise drop like that would literally break the world 😭
I thought she decided to hide after 1989 officially.
2:12 And look who's career is down the drain now. She made him famous at one point but not famous in a good way. Karma got em'.
@@corgi7167 And not for good reasons especially with the Anti-Semitism talk 💀
I know alot of people have lost hope in the “karma” album since “midnights” because a song was released called karma as we all know it. However i believe that in the song Karma the lurics staring “karma is…” what if all the things karma is told to be are the names of songs on the album. God, cat, breeze in my hair ect ect
Also the album was on the wall of albums in ‘The Man’ music video
I do hope it comes out one day but I do strongly believe it won’t be like it would have been
I’m not really sure about that. Maybe the tone was changed bc karma was said to be extremely aggressive
I'm more upset about not getting a Woodvale album than I am about not getting a Karma album 😭
Taylor Swift #taylorswift baby I'm going to announce just a handful of our lost albums as Easter eggs but I want the public and fans in the know that these are are indeed these are our lost albums
1. Karma
2. fearless 2008 and re-recordings
3. forevermore
4 . woodvale
5 . midnight's
6 . Love story
7. speak now
8 . 1989
it’s a cool theory but i honestly think it was probably just the original name for reputation and she’s just been putting up for fun. Now the man clock notice how karma is in the middle i think she’s saying the re-recording are karma not another album.
I can see that. I still think there are many other clues that point me towards believing Karma is real however. Thanks for watching!
but there's the tricky thing of the bleached hair.... which doesn't fit into any era.
WAITTTTT HOLD UP- He said “Nobody heard from her for 1 year”
“Nobody’s heard from me for months, I’m doing better than I ever was” Call It What You Want, from Reputation that was released in 2017…..🤯🤯 and also for one of her concerts or tours or whatever, for Reputation.
@@brunetteXer yeah I honestly had no idea where I was going with my comment to this video but I wanted to comment something about it just because of the “Call it What you Want” connection.
to the plane theory: also we know all the Taylors in the front, but the one cutting the wing of is a foreign Taylor probably the Karma one
This guy is just trying to start "beef" I mean drama. I just think Taylor Swift was just trying to test out a new look to see if she liked it, but it's fun to believe.
I really like your background
Thanks! 🤠
I feel like karma would have the same vibe as olivia rodrigo song "brutal" has, it would be awesome
If it is real, I hope she’d release it!
The lyrics were originally even worse - it was supposed to be that Taylor “owes me sex”. I think Taylor must’ve heard that version and thought it was misogynistic.
9:14 I wonder if she whispered to one of those kids : you my child are karma 🤞🏻
PLEASE READ MY THEORY (and credit me if you use it) this is a theory about the lost karma album. since karma was supposedly made between 1989 and rep. now 1989 tv has just been released and most swifties are speculating that rep tv is next because of the easter egg on the 1989 tv album cover. again karma was going to come between 1989 and rep. I think that karma is coming next also because one of ice spice's lyrics "she (karma) gonna pop up unnanounced." pls give me your ideas and opinions in the replies because i want to know if this is possible 🤭🤭
Very likely! I think this is the most possible scenario. If we’re going to see Karma then it’s going to be her next release
Thanks so much! Got one dropping at midnight tonight that you may like
@@JukeboxHistory nicee, now I’m watching the “how to enjoy music” one… not really interested in every video u posted (till now) but I do love how you express your ideas and how u Edit the videos so I’m staying😌
karma = 1989 & reputation from the vaults
